[15:25:59] <wonko6x9> Hi all — I just opened a catalog PR for MFA Sidecar: https://github.com/YunoHost/apps/pull/3410
It’s a practical MFA perimeter package for selected YunoHost-hosted apps/paths (not a core auth redesign).
Would appreciate packaging review / any obvious process feedback if I missed something.

[17:45:38] <weoeiriw> we are going to have to have to start you
[17:46:54] <wonko6x9> it would be appreciated
[18:02:14] <Cippr> Hello,
Is there a special comment to add in order to testing CI with Trixie ?
https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/rspamd_ynh/pull/30
[18:02:37] <weoeiriw> wr will be
[18:16:54] <orhtej2> `!trixietestme`, see pinned message
[18:16:56] <Thomas> Yeah but for rspamd it will fail because of dovecot config which have changed in Trixe IIRC
[18:17:15] <weoeiriw> s a l l l to be a long
[18:21:58] <Thomas> Hello and welcome! It’s always nice to see new YunoHost members and contributors.

I’ve taken a look at your package and TBH I find it hard to read and to understand exactly what it does in the background.

> installs a vendored pinned Authelia binary

It seems it’s based on Authelia, which is the library we’ll use in a future-not-to-far? version of YunoHost. I’m wondering if it’s not better to wait on the official support from YunoHost instead of your package

[18:23:11] <psychozoic> may i ask to review https://github.com/YunoHost/apps/pull/3403 once more? i removed references to ai, and updated configs to install in /var/www

branch = "main"
category = "small_utilities"

I thinks adding the branch is now needed :)
[18:59:26] <Cippr> Thomas: i haven't skills to patch the config file about dovecot for rspamd. So feel free to merge if your review seems ok for you about Bookworm :-)
[19:05:22] <Yunohost Git/Infra notifications> [mastodon_ynh] Thovi98 merged [pull request #558](https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/mastodon_ynh/pull/558): Upgrade to v4.5.8

[20:52:29] <wonko6x9> Thanks for taking a look.

My reading of the older discussions was not that MFA was unwanted, but that it had not landed in YunoHost core yet because of bigger auth/identity priorities and limited bandwidth. I also needed something like this myself, and thought it would be useful to share a practical interim solution with others rather than wait for a future core implementation.

It does use Authelia underneath, but the package is more than a thin wrapper: it adds the integration needed to make per-domain / per-path protection workable in YunoHost today, while staying non-core, reversible, and install/remove-friendly.

The intent was to address the immediate need in a way that steps on core as little as possible, not to compete with a future official MFA implementation. Happy to answer any specific questions if there are particular parts that feel opaque or hard to evaluate.
[21:26:27] <wonko6x9> Ah — I just found that some of the documentation/package cleanup commits hadn’t actually made it to the public repo when they were supposed to. That’s been updated now. It should be much easier to evaluate from the repo view.
[21:53:03] <rodinux> hello, I have
[21:56:03] <rodinux> I have something wrong with the CI... in upgrade script for Mobilizon I wish put something like
```
# Fix admin user provider for LDAP authentication (previously created without --provider ldap ?? )
role=$(ynh_exec_as_app MOBILIZON_CONFIG_PATH="$install_dir/config.exs" "$install_dir/live/bin/mobilizon_ctl" users.show "" | grep Role | cut -d':' -f2 | tr -d ' ')
if [[ "$role" == "administrator" ]]; then
ynh_print_info "${admin_email} is already administrator of the instance"
else
ynh_exec_as_app MOBILIZON_CONFIG_PATH="$install_dir/config.exs" "$install_dir/live/bin/mobilizon_ctl" users.new "$admin_email" --admin --provider ldap
fi
```

But as there is like a post-install where the admin user login and create his profile to be created, this broke the upgrade on the CI...

[21:57:42] <rodinux> I have try add in the test.toml `args.admin_email="john@example.tld"` but it's not relevant...
[21:58:49] <rodinux> Ok, so perhaps I will remove these lines, perhaps not necessary...
