[06:57:59] <Kavelach> I see, that may be an issue
[07:03:26] <Kavelach> https://aria.im/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.yuno.kavela.ch/johwdLymAsZeIyOWmdWksHka
[07:03:28] <Kavelach> I have another question though. I have installed WordPress on the server and I have trouble setting it up so that YH groups map to WP roles. I have arrived at these settings by trial and error using the phpldapadmin
[07:04:02] <Kavelach> My issue is that LDAP Auth plugin doesn't seem to find any groups associated with the account
[07:05:42] <Kavelach> I enabled its debug log and when I login into a test account that is added to two groups, I get this:
```
PHP message: [AuthLDAP] User 'kontotestowe' logging in;
PHP message: [AuthLDAP] about to do LDAP authentication;
PHP message: [AuthLDAP] connect to LDAP server;
PHP message: [AuthLDAP] LDAP authentication successful;
PHP message: [AuthLDAP] Array
(
[administrator] => some_group
[editor] => some_other_group
[author] =>
[contributor] =>
[subscriber] =>
)
;
PHP message: [AuthLDAP] Array
(
[administrator] => some_group
[editor] => some_other_group
[author] =>
[contributor] =>
[subscriber] =>
)
;
PHP message: [AuthLDAP] Group Filter: "(&(objectClass=groupOfNamesYnh)(memberUid=%s))";
PHP message: [AuthLDAP] Group Base: ;
PHP message: [AuthLDAP] LDAP groups: [];
PHP message: [AuthLDAP] Roles from LDAP group: [];
PHP message: [AuthLDAP] no role yet, set default role;
PHP message: [AuthLDAP] The LDAP user does not have an entry in the WP-Database, a new WP account will be created;
PHP message: [AuthLDAP] user id = 11
```
[07:06:05] <Kavelach> (I know I can use the `wordpress.admin` permission for admins)
[07:07:56] <Kavelach> I thought the query I set up there would work, since when I use `(&(objectClass=groupOfNamesYnh)(memberUid=testaccount))` in phpldapadmin, it works and outputs the groups I added the user to

[07:19:15] <Kavelach> Okay, the issue was the empty group-base. I added `ou=groups,dc=yunohost,dc=org` and it started working.
[21:29:11] <xttweaponttx> Hello, everyone! Hey big thanks out the gate - Yunohost is some badass software, I'm so excited to have it up and running at home!!
-
Quick question! I would like to stand up the jellyfin service on my server, though I know the install process on the main branch is busted at the moment. I found via the github that the testing branch has had a fix pushed to it, and would love to test it out on my install!
-
My question is= would it be easy to swap off the testing branch and back onto the stable/main branch for my install once the testing branch gets patched up and moved into main? 🙂 or is that already automatic?
-
Again, thanks to the wonderful community, and cheers for such a cool OS to have at home! 🙂🤘
[21:30:13] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> could you like ... not put your text in gigantic size ...
[21:31:02] <@err404:matrix.numericore.com> yes, but because some char interpreted by element (like markdown)
[21:39:23] <Salamandar> > would it be easy to swap off the testing branch and back onto the stable/main branch for my install once the testing branch gets patched up and moved into main?

Basically yunohost works just by version numbers, so once we merge testing to master, if the packager bumps the revision number, yes, if the packager keeps the revision number present on the testing branch, no
[21:39:51] <Salamandar> but if you "force" the upgrade by running `yunohost app upgrade jellyfin --force`, yes, it will pick up the thing present on the master branch
[22:14:32] <Wild rose> We're having a party
