[00:33:05] <Vincent R.> my understanding is that i need to add "proxy_protocol" to every "listen 127.0.0.1:444 ssl" lines in the config, i'll try to script that tomorrow so i can reapply it in case of an upgrade
[00:33:59] <Vincent R.> For my own knowledge, does it mean my yunohost instance is now unable to see the IPs of the clients, or that's just the instance i stream traffic to ?
[08:01:46] <niklas> I'm trying to verify my backups. I'm using the borg package which seems to run without issue. When I manually mount an archive to check the contents however I find a lot of directories that I can't access for some reason. Can anyone tell me if this is expected behavior?
[09:49:36] <inpc> Morning, I don't suppose anyone here knows what my GotoSocial update doesn't work? After install my instance just links top a blank white screen, but the logs say the update was ok?
[09:52:41] <orhtej2> > <@mxtthxwinpc:matrix.org> Morning, I don't suppose anyone here knows what my GotoSocial update doesn't work? After install my instance just links top a blank white screen, but the logs say the update was ok?

can you please share the update log and, if you know how to, can you look at network console to see if any requests are failing?
[09:53:24] <orhtej2> > <@niklas:freiburg.social> I'm trying to verify my backups. I'm using the borg package which seems to run without issue. Possibly, I believe tar archive retains access rights. Have you tried listing as root?
[10:00:40] <niklas> hm, yeah it might be a problem with borg-fuse... when I extract the files I can see them alright
[10:54:22] <@chrichri:ween.de> > <@mxtthxwinpc:matrix.org> Morning, I don't suppose anyone here knows what my GotoSocial update doesn't work? After install my instance just links top a blank white screen, but the logs say the update was ok?

What platform are you running your gotosocial on? By any means some ARM board with an older kernel?
[10:56:11] <inpc> It's an oldish ThinkCentre so an x86 as far as I'm aware
[10:58:51] <tituspijean> Have you waited long enough? You have systematic warning stating that post-upgrade migrations might take quite some time. Can you check the service logs?
[10:59:04] <tituspijean> Do NOT restart the service.
[11:02:14] <@chrichri:ween.de> > <@mxtthxwinpc:matrix.org> It's an oldish ThinkCentre so an x86 as far as I'm aware

Depending on the amount of data in your gotosocial the migration could take hours to complete. If you have access via ssh you could check whether the process is running. If you're running on an old kernel (<4.5) for any reason that might cause problems. The default kernel in Debian Bookworm (base of yunohost) is way newer...
[11:10:51] <inpc> As far as I know I'm upto date with everything Yunohost wise
[11:12:18] <orhtej2> > <@mxtthxwinpc:matrix.org> As far as I know I'm upto date with everything Yunohost wise

Is the service up in admin->tools->services?
what does the log claim it's doing?
[11:12:40] <inpc> timestamp="24/03/2025 11:10:02.217" func=migrations.convertEnums level=INFO msg="migrated 55000 of 5263895 statuses (up to 01JPX2RZK83ME59HWC7N7BB1DD)"
[11:12:58] <inpc> This is having tried again recently, leaving overnight failed
[11:13:10] <inpc> Mar 24 11:07:19 systemd[1]: Started gotosocial.service - GoToSocial Server.
[12:44:43] <@chrichri:ween.de> > <@mxtthxwinpc:matrix.org> timestamp="24/03/2025 11:10:02.217" func=migrations.convertEnums level=INFO msg="migrated 55000 of 5263895 statuses (up to 01JPX2RZK83ME59HWC7N7BB1DD)"

Do you have ssh? If so, `/var/log/gotosocial/gotosocial.log` might be helpful...
[15:00:17] <Enthouane> Hello ! I'm trying to use automad's contact form which relies on the mail() php function, but it does not seem to send anything... What could i do to troubleshoot it or even make it work ?
[15:08:12] <@err404:matrix.numericore.com> first, I think you should check if your setup can send an email
[15:10:21] <Enthouane> yep i'm installing roundcube to check that right now
[15:20:35] <Enthouane> internal mails work : i can receive mails that go from the server to an user's mail, but outward does not seem to go through. I know orange is kinda tricky on that matter but i'm not sure what to do.
[15:24:53] <Enthouane> found it : port 25 is open but only for incoming connections. orange blocks outgoing p25
[15:34:19] <Enthouane> so i'll have to find the correct way to configure orange smtp relay, right ?
[15:54:08] <@err404:matrix.numericore.com> Enthouane: no, but you need to configure SPF, DKIM and others things about email server
[15:55:30] <@err404:matrix.numericore.com> https://scanmy.email is a tool to check what is wrong (or not) in your emails
[15:56:19] <Enthouane> Is that DNS related ? I know nothing about email 😐
[15:59:20] <@err404:matrix.numericore.com> yes, partialy about spam
[16:01:08] <@err404:matrix.numericore.com> if your Internet provider did not allow you to open the port 25 (check your livebox config), you should change to another Internet provider (yes, I don't like Orange)
[16:02:41] <Enthouane> I know, we're switching to Rézine as soon as ftth is deployed
[16:03:13] <Enthouane> But in the meantime we really need email to work
[16:04:00] <Enthouane> But those parameters you mentioned are not in the yunohost recommended DNS settings are they ?
[16:04:50] <@err404:matrix.numericore.com> they are, let me send you a screen capture
[16:08:02] <@err404:matrix.numericore.com> https://aria.im/_bifrost/v1/media/download/AdgQVZQin910p4tcA-AaeRsY6aZ4HMZb7hicuPAB71z_PJxRJlip05NhTQNroCiXHJJhtbFg45g301LCv1v8dwZCeVzg-VUgAG1hdHJpeC5udW1lcmljb3JlLmNvbS9PQ0d4eGlXYWRmTFJQZUlaYU96UEVhRVU
[16:10:50] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> (the DKIM keys are public keys, it's pointless to redact them, they are meant to be public ...)
[16:13:39] <Enthouane> Thanks Il try that
[16:30:19] <Enthouane> well nope, nothing comes out
[16:41:32] <@err404:matrix.numericore.com> thanks, but because I am beginner about email (and dns), I assumed it was a good point to redact this 😛
[17:08:59] <liamcharger> hey all, I just installed YunoHost, and I've gone through the initial setup (setup domain, create admin user), but when I go to the user interface, I get “https://yunohost.local/yunohost/sso” unexpectedly dropping the connection
[17:25:30] <liamcharger> And whenever I go to yunohost.local, I'm still getting redirected to the post-install page
[17:30:42] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> eeeeh but did you do the postinstall ...?
[17:55:28] <tao> hey there tituspijean any thoughts about my wild wildcard quest?
[17:57:27] <tituspijean> (lunchtime took a week, seems right) Sorry not yet! Let me get home and let's discuss in 1h-1h30, is that OK?
[19:35:20] <liamcharger> Yeah
[19:35:44] <liamcharger> I went through everything till the dialog: You are about to launch the post-installation process on the domain `your domain here`. It may take a few minutes, *do not interrupt the operation*.
[19:36:23] <liamcharger> And then it waits for the server's response
[19:36:46] <liamcharger> And then the page gets refreshed and I get set back to the beginning
[19:39:51] <liamcharger> I tried via cli and got `Error: Unable to reach DynDNS provider dyndns.yunohost.org: either your YunoHost is not correctly connected to the internet or the dynette server is down.`
[19:40:27] <liamcharger> and then I tried `sudo yunohost tools postinstall -d domain_here -p password_here--ignore-dyndns`
[19:42:18] <liamcharger> But got
```
```
[19:42:49] <liamcharger> The YunoHost is connected to the internet, otherwise I wouldn't be able to ssh or anything
[20:22:34] <tao> otherwise i'm considering using this OCA letsencrypt module but am not certain how to make sure config doesn't conflict with ynh's https://github.com/OCA/server-tools/tree/16.0/letsencrypt
[20:28:44] <tituspijean> @nomads-land:matrix.orgcan you give me a bit more context? Are LibreERP/Odoo's subdomains expected to be all subdomains of LibreERP's main domain?
[20:29:28] <tituspijean> (I'm trying to assess if it worth hacking something for your use case or trying to implement DNS challenge for LE in YunoHost would benefit more people)
[20:59:57] <tituspijean> (IIRC gitlab and forgejo pages could benefit from that too)
[21:11:12] <tao> yes all odoo's subdomains in our case
[21:12:49] <tao> would be even more awesome if can benefit other use cases offcourse
