[10:21:59] <tripop> Hi. I try to understand : why it's still hard to find ressources and just know how to config the arr suite on yunohost ? Because seem there's all the tools and the arr suite, but aboslutly no help and docs around the simple thing, like connecting the services together
[10:23:05] <tripop> Since yunhost have some very specific way to work, it could be great to simply know how to connect like, prowlarr with a download client, or how to connect with jellyserr, things like that. Because Yunohost never "just work" in this case. Like the basic config for that never work, and you're kind of alone after that
[10:24:39] <tripop> "localhost" don't work, 127.0.0.1 don't work. And even the way of handling download and multimedia folders make Jellyfin/arr suite on torrent client not working fluidy together.

So it force the user, like me, to just "chmod 777" multimedia folders. Because just handling the way yunohost make groups and user is hard enough (nd still : no documention)
[10:25:47] <tripop> I coul write a full documentation on how to handle all that in yunohost, i could. Like i have the knowledge and the time to do that. Can someone here just help me to do that ? For the others after me ?
[10:40:32] <tripop> https://aria.im/_bifrost/v1/media/download/Aay2xzURxgI3sskR2wim8kQVbqYHoXS8xTFbt2VjtOdsJvBdf4TN9J8LcWt5lzPa9rqzA-q_IM13UZlQjx9U5ShCeWca9AoQAHRlZG9tdW0ubmV0LzNmOTI5OWQzOTE5Njc2MmQ1ZGJkZDUwZWQzOWRhNTFlOGI3NjVkNDQxOTE1NzE3NTUyODM5ODUyMDMy
[10:40:34] <tripop> Like, really, it never "just work"
[10:45:32] <tripop> Also, yunohost should tell the port of app, and didn't have to use some cli command to have it. Because it's kind of important to configuration, and the user never really know that unohost attributes some random ports, and not the default of a app. It's should show, like, in the app pages when it's installed.

Because, again, the documentation doesn't mention that, you have to go to the forum to found : `sudo yunohost app setting APP port` command
[10:57:32] <err404> > Flood is a monitoring service for rTorrent.

so I think you should indicate the ip to you running rtorrent?
[11:19:33] <tripop> It's a client for different torrent client. I try with transmission and it worked
[11:31:16] <tituspijean[m]> Just... make a PR to add the needed documentation in the app. Things might be obvious for the maintainer (or maybe they did not take time to make everything explicit). If you find useful information, add it in `doc/ADMIN.md` for example. Variables like `$port` can be displayed with `__PORT__`.
Thank you for the constructive feedback.
[12:05:48] <tripop> A PR in the app git or like in the documentation site ?
[12:15:05] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> in the app git
[13:37:26] <miro5001> > <@rodinux:matrix.org> the risk with line commented is any user using a mail address on domain.tld could use another username [ at ] domain.tld...

I had a similar "not owned by user" error in some packages. Modding main.cf may lead to some email providers to reject emails (Google is one of them).
[13:53:38] <sebastian> Thanks for the answers so far. I will See what i can do
[13:53:39] <jacobb> https://aria.im/_bifrost/v1/media/download/AWDvMfEyOEsSydAfGO2L_QQEye4lFF_W3CAyXSfmY2ofYPyqhb7YKzNTt2D13RpmLTp45-SLrHsDnZ4xQD31zZFCeWcmAL1AAGRhdGEuY29vcC9CUFRTbXluV09UanJkbWxld3RyaFlDSHc
[13:53:40] <jacobb> Just had to share this from a totally fresh install of Nextcloud under Yunohost :-)
[14:08:19] <Paprika> I think you found a way to travel back in time. Congrats!
[14:11:35] <stereo> ah, the 70ties...
[14:17:05] <Paprika> The things you mention look like the general configuration information that is not specific to YunoHost. If you need information on how to configure the \*arr suite including download clients, quality settings, custom formats, you can refer to the [TraSH-Guides](https://trash-guides.info/Radarr/). For general setup between those apps, you should consider reading [Servarr WIKI](https://wiki.servarr.com/prowlarr/quick-start-guide).
If you are having difficulties finding out the ports or whatnot, information for the \*arr ports is available in each of their app pages under **Settings -> General**. For other apps, there might be their own specific quirks.

[14:23:29] <Paprika> From my perspective, YunoHost makes it easy to install the apps without much overhead (we're installing on bare metal on YunoHost). It is not a one-click solution that eliminates the need to understand how they work and how you need to connect them. After all, it also depends on the people who maintain the app packages, so in case of issues, github is your best friend for reporting and contributing to the quality and maintainability of them.

This is just my opinion, so keep that in mind.

[15:29:02] <tituspijean[m]> "55 years ago" usually means that a timestamp is at 0 in UNIX time (seconds elapsed since 1970-01-01). That also happens in the webadmin when a service does not report since when it has failed. :)

[15:51:47] <satadaes> i set an admin password minstalling, but not sure how to login, usernames and email arent working with the specified password
[17:40:04] <kevadesu (EN/FR/DE)> What port does the YunoHost SSO/Portal run under?
[17:40:24] <satadaes> the default one i assume
[17:40:46] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> `sudo netstat -tulpn | grep yunohost`
[17:40:47] <kevadesu (EN/FR/DE)> Which is?

[17:45:50] <danneggiato> > <@tituspijean:matrix.org> I'm confused, the hook system enables one to run a script upon certain events like upgrading apps, effectively ensuring custom edits on configuration files are kept.

I thought you were talking about the hooks that are connected to the web panel on yunohost

then idk how to use them :D
