[16:50:09] <netzfetz> Servus Leudde,
Quick update on the IPv6 connectivity issue – here is my workaround, in case it's relevant for you @tituspijean:matrix.org .
Your input regarding the IONOS Cloud product and documentation was on point. But the core problem was a classic distro difference: my current Ubuntu setup utilize Netplan instead of the legacy /etc/network/interfaces, which consequently didn't exist.
The resolution involved direct YAML configuration: I modified /etc/netplan/50-cloud-init.yaml after making a backup to yaml.backup and subsequently deployed the new state using sudo netplan apply. (Also disabled the override)
IPv6 connectivity is now established.
Thanks to everyone for the prompt support. It confirms once more: a solid baseline knowledge in networking is essential, even with highly integrated platforms.
Best regards,
netzfetz
