[09:16:45] <Daize> yeah from the webUI. iotop doesn't show any activity besides system-journald every few secs or so. So I'm guessing nothing is actually happening 💀

In that case, I'm inclined to force restart my server, even though a command is still running :(
[10:25:13] <FbIN> How to install redlib? The sha256 issue persists. Someone in the forum suggests using testing, but how to do that?
[11:01:14] <tituspijean> In any case, if you want to try it: `sudo yunohost app install https://github.com/SolAZDev/redlib_ynh/tree/patch-1 -f`
[11:10:22] <tituspijean> @_bifrost_FbIN=2fsupport=40conference.yunohost.org:aria-net.org this PR was the one evoked: https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/redlib_ynh/pull/78
I have merged the fix to the main branch. It should be deployed in a few hours in the catalog.
The app seems to be installable with it, though there seems to be an issue with rate limitation from Reddit that might make it unusable. The front page of the app will mention it.
[11:50:18] <FbIN (VB)> tituspijean, Thanks :)

Thanks. Will try it out in a few hours. Am outside.
[11:51:26] <FbIN (VB)> BTW, I have asked bentopdf to allow for Yunohost. Is there a way to get it quickly in Yunohost directly?
[11:53:29] <tituspijean> What do you mean by asking an app to allow YunoHost?
[11:54:26] <FbIN (VB)> I was under the impression we need to get an agreement from the main dev to get it added to any panel.
[11:54:40] <FbIN (VB)> So, I had raised it as a request/FR
[11:55:06] <FbIN (VB)> https://github.com/alam00000/bentopdf/issues/332
[11:56:27] <FbIN (VB)> or does it need to be requested with YNH as a RFP?
[11:56:30] <FbIN (VB)> *as an
[12:02:51] <tituspijean> From what I see with their licensing and the way YunoHost works, it should not be needed. But better safe than sorry.

Once accepted by the devs of bentopdf, you may add the app to the YunoHost wishlist (https://apps.yunohost.org/wishlist)

But also read the CGUs (https://doc.yunohost.org/en/community/terms_of_services) that explains a few things about volunteer work.

yeah the cert has expired for sury packages
[12:27:57] <FbIN (VB)> I am a Volunteer myself, so I do get it. 😃
[14:18:00] <FbIN> I have one more quick question. Is it possible to block bots/ips completely on Yunohost via ipset list? In Hestia, there is an option at the panel level itself, but I cannot find anything in YNH. How do I go about it, please?
[15:50:12] <m606> and so what about the operations log ? that should be a better indicator of whether you can refresh safely the WebUI (or reboot)
[16:17:01] <Daize> Interesting new development...

the WebUI is now 'cleared'/usable, but the latest log entry is:
> DEBUG - + chown -R nextcloud: /home/yunohost.app/nextcloud
- Nextcloud is installed as app
- Nextcloud is available in the user portal
- Nextcloud shows the "Welcome to nginx!" message... :-D fascinating

(I did reboot and tried restoring again from the CLI this time... 😬 got impatient I guess)
[16:20:17] <m606> @_bifrost_FbIN=2fsupport=40conference.yunohost.org:aria-net.org Hello, I don't believe there is such thing available out of the box (you may want to post a feature request [on the Github issue tracker](https://github.com/YunoHost/issues/issues), although it doesn't necessarily mean it will be worked on anytime soon.
Note that a since ~1 year, YunoHost changed firewall, previously using `iptables` and now `nftables` (cf. [ipset related migration info](https://wiki.nftables.org/wiki-nftables/index.php/Moving_from_ipset_to_nftables))
If you are ready to dig into the firewall configuration, it shouldn't be too difficult to create your own custom additional rule for nftables, if you are ready to dig into `nftables` configuration. This may inspire you about the method even though it does not exactly have the same objective: https://github.com/YunoHost/issues/issues/2112
[16:21:30] <m606> ok, well difficult for me to tell you anything more without the full log.

Ahh yes, I read nftables as being used (during any changes). Let me check this out. Being a non-dev, it does not make it easier for me, tbvh. :)

[16:22:29] <FbIN> I do not have any issues. I just wish to start blocking to ensure my server does not start getting crawled by the bots.
[16:24:23] <Daize> > <@m606:matrix.org> ok, well difficult for me to tell you anything more without the full log.

ah my apologies!
https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/icagemumes there you go :-) thank you for helping me out with this!
[16:40:09] <m606> Well it's more about configuration than development if that makes any difference to you. But still it will likely take some work and trial & error to get to understand how `nftables` works and get working config according to your specific needs - https://wiki.nftables.org/wiki-nftables/index.php/Main_Page#Basic_operation. Or the feature request (with patience) I guess.
Also there is this app available: https://apps.yunohost.org/app/fail2ban-web. But probably not exactly what you are looking for are it blocks log-in attempts (not any pages' visits), and you would have to build a list IP-by-IP...
Probably the easiest for you immediately would be to use the available config option in your hoster's panel.
[16:41:44] <FbIN> agreed. I can wait tbvh. Meanwhile I can ban as and how I get it. I can manually add to the file as well, once I locate the actual files. :)
[16:59:41] <m606> So it gets blocked there https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/nextcloud_ynh/blob/master/scripts/restore#L64
And were you eventually able to restore successfully after reboot or does it always get blocked at the same point?
[17:02:43] <Daize> > <@m606:matrix.org> So it gets blocked there https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/nextcloud_ynh/blob/master/scripts/restore#L64
> And were you eventually able to restore successfully after reboot or does it always get blocked at the same point?

I can try it again: I'll uninstall nextcloud and then try to restore it again. I'll let you know! And thanks for confirming that indeed it doesn't complete all the way!
[17:20:12] <m606> Ok. You might still want to add it as feature request so that there is actually something to be maybe waited for, as no one did it so far.
[17:23:27] <Daize> > <@m606:matrix.org> So it gets blocked there https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/nextcloud_ynh/blob/master/scripts/restore#L64

I tried 2 more times, and now it just gets stuck here:
https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/umiferetef
[17:28:59] <orhtej2> > <@daize:matrix.org> I tried 2 more times, and now it just gets stuck here:

Just let it finish
[17:29:54] <m606> `2026-01-01 18:13:08,409: ERROR - Could not restore nextcloud: The operation was manually interrupted?`
[17:37:56] <Daize> mmm this is weird, in the CLI it says an issue about encoding:

[18:24:20] <Daize> There's no reads or writes being done anymore (checking with iotop), and I see this error in the CLI (but somehow it's not in the logs...)

[18:32:56] <m606> Has anything changed since https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/icagemumes in which MySQL DB seems restored successfully ?
[18:34:22] <m606> at this point, is Nextcloud listed among your installed apps?
[18:58:14] <m606> and to get an idea of what is the MySQL status for Nextcloud, in the CLI, what is the output of:
```
sudo -i
mysql
USE nextcloud;
SHOW TABLES;
```
to leave MySQL and root mode, just write `exit` and press enter twice.
[23:07:11] <everlastingos> Hey! Seems like my fail2ban is broken, cannot upgrade any apps, did see a port on the forum and did run:
