<k3nadianpup1> You do realize most ISP block the standard mail ports, this is a old problem check with your ISP first or you just wasting a lot of time trying to fix the wrong problem

<tituspijean> > <@jens:matrix.fedup.se> I tried this too, but with the same result. I’m using Europe/Stockholm as timezone, and even if I set this in PHP.ini it doesn’t change the message. To me that says I edited the “wrong” place or something else is affecting this.
Hej, have you run the install command with the `-f -n` flags? That will prevent MariaDB removal upon failure, then try the `which mysql` command again.

<Buny ✨> Hello all, I'm trying to make a server out of a used Lenovo I bought. I'd like to put Yunohost on top of Debian so I can also use it as a regular couputer if need be. While trying to set that up, (I was having issues that I think were from Xfice,) I was on Debian's chat and their question is, "Why Debian 12?" So now I'm wondering that too.
[06:49:03]
<Thomas> Hello! It's not recommended to install YunoHost with a graphical environment as there are some incompatibilities
[06:50:04]
<Thomas> As for why Debian 12 it's because Debian 13 for YunoHost 13 is still in alpha/beta but work is in the way
[07:17:08]
<Buny ✨> Oh, really? I guess I misunderstood that.
[07:17:28]
<Buny ✨> ...Maybe I'll set up a dual boot then.
[07:24:33]
<Buny ✨> Is there a preference in what order this is set up in? I know Windows is very picky about that. Linux less so, but still. I'll install Yuno or Chimera first depending on what you all think.

<rainer.szs> By attempting to login in bookstack vers. 25.12.5 with 2FA the error "An unknown error occured" get displayed instead of successfully logging in.
The issue can be fixed with this method: https://github.com/BookStackApp/BookStack/issues/6024
Or by updating bookstack to the 25.12.7 version: https://github.com/BookStackApp/BookStack/issues/6040
25.12.7-ynh isn't available yet, so Is it possible to replicate the first method in yunohost? Or install the normal 25.12.7 version?

[09:19:12]
<rainer.szs> I was thinking about writing this as a github issue for the current bookstack-ynh version
[09:22:37]
<rainer.szs> For now i'll downgrade bookstack with a backup because I need some notes to be done asap sorry
[09:28:35]
<rainer.szs> When i upgrade bookstack yunohost automatically created a backup
[09:28:54]
<rainer.szs> I had to uninstall it because by trying to restoring it the app was 'already installed'
[09:29:09]
<rainer.szs> Then after uninstalling it the pre-upgrade backup got deleted as well
[09:30:10]
<rainer.szs> That doesn't make any sense, is there some way to restore it again since i wanted to downgrade bookstack to a working version? Thanks
[09:36:59]
<Jason Hammons> This should not be the case. Perhaps it never got backed up?
[09:37:24]
<Jason Hammons> We can't know without full logs to see.
[09:37:35]
<rainer.szs> it was present when I checked yesterday and today
[09:37:46]
<rainer.szs> ok one sec
[09:39:29]
<rainer.szs> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/ezubavuwit
[09:39:43]
<rainer.szs> this was the pre-upgrade backup from yesterday
[09:40:25]
<rainer.szs> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/dipefanunu
[09:41:48]
<rainer.szs> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/gaqikeladu
then i tried to force it to 25.12.7 with --force-upgrade (then I discovered that ynh versions exists)
[09:42:09]
<rainer.szs> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/qiyurefepe
[09:42:30]
<rainer.szs> then uninstalled bookstack for downgrading to the pre-upgrade backup
[09:45:23]
<rainer.szs> there should be a pre-upgrade bookstack backup from 14 hours ago but it's missing
[09:45:24]
<rainer.szs> (sending a screenshot)

[09:47:12]
<rainer.szs> this is the most recent bookstack backup i created today
[09:47:28]
<Salamandar> pre-upgrade backups delete themselves
[09:47:38]
<Salamandar> to keep only one
[09:49:08]
<rainer.szs> 🥲
[09:49:49]
<rainer.szs> so what can i do in the meantime?
[10:26:17]
<Jens> > <@tituspijean:matrix.org> Hej, have you run the install command with the `-f -n` flags? That will prevent MariaDB removal upon failure, then try the `which mysql` command again.
Oh, ok! It shows that it’s installed in /usr/bin/mysql so it’s installed.
Could there be issues if what’s installed isn’t removed properly?
[10:28:11]
<tituspijean> That's not the problem here, it was the fact that MariaDB was being cleanly removed upon install failure. 😅
[10:29:08]
<Jens> > <@tituspijean:matrix.org> That's not the problem here, it was the fact that MariaDB was being cleanly removed upon install failure. 😅
Anyway, the command says SYSTEM:SYSTEM on time zone.
[10:30:29]
<tituspijean> And what's the output of `date +%Z` ?
[10:31:13]
<Jens> > <@tituspijean:matrix.org> And what's the output of `date +%Z` ?
CET
[10:32:12]
<Jens> But this also means Concrete is installed now? And everything is good? I didn’t realise the removing was the issue.
[10:36:24]
<tituspijean> What I have made you do is to install Concrete but prevent its removal upon failure. So I guess you have a non-functional Concrete install now. But we can try to debug things.
[10:37:13]
<tituspijean> Can you try putting `CET` in the PHP.ini files ?
[10:38:10]
<Jens> Sure, instead of Europe/Stockholm? Meaning the same lines?
[10:40:17]
<tituspijean> Then let's remove and install Concrete5 again: `sudo yunohost app remove concrete5`, then the install command (without the `-n` flag)
[11:03:21]
<Jens> > <@tituspijean:matrix.org> Then let's remove and install Concrete5 again: `sudo yunohost app remove concrete5`, then again the install command (without the `-n` flag)
It’s basically the same response I’m afraid. Here’s the log: https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/vuvegivare
But if I understand what is happening we’re trying get all timezones to match, right? From my understanding the install script doesn’t accept CET as a correct timezone, that is set when it installs MariaDB. Is that correct?
[11:05:40]
<rainer.szs> Please this is important for me :(
Thanks
[11:09:39]
<tituspijean> Yes that's what I'm trying to do. Ah, "CET" is not accepted by Concrete5.
[11:10:15]
<tituspijean> What's the output of `timedatectl status | grep "Time zone"` ?
[11:10:34]
<Jens> > <@tituspijean:matrix.org> Yes that's what I'm trying to do. Ah, "CET" is not accepted by Concrete5.
I believe so, since it lists the acceptable time zones.
[11:11:50]
<Jens> > <@tituspijean:matrix.org> What's the output of `timedatectl status | grep "Time zone"` ?
Time zone: Europe/Stockholm (CET, +0100)
[11:12:56]
<Jochen> I would like to observe and get a monitoring GUI tool up and running for the access of the ngnix html pages.
So how many user are access which page and statistics like that.
Is there a solution within Yunohost?
[11:18:05]
<Jens> > <@jstiepel:matrix.org> I would like to observe and get a monitoring GUI tool up and running for the access of the ngnix html pages.
> So how many user are access which page and statistics like that.
> Is there a solution within Yunohost?
I can see that Fathom is available. There’s also some apps for viewing logs like Logdy and OpenObserve. Perhaps one of those will suit your use case?
[13:20:26]
<Jochen> Is it true, that fathom only works with one site/domain?
[18:01:10]
<Jens> > <@jstiepel:matrix.org> Is it true, that fathom only works with one site/domain?
>
Sorry, that’s beyond my current knowledge. But perhaps check their website for documentation?
[18:01:22]
<Chatpitaine Caverne> Jochen: At least it says in the yunohost app install that it can be installed multiple time in yunohost.
[18:07:44]
<rainer.szs> Log while creating backup: https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/qelolicoli
Upgrade bookstack log: https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/oculiyebud
Apply config to bookstack log: https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/cawahamina
[18:09:39]
<rainer.szs> Edit: bookstack\_ynh got updated to 25.12.8 but the same exact problem persists
On github, a user (ericgaspar) suggested me to run these commands [(source here)](https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/bookstack_ynh/issues/234):
```
sudo chgrp -R www-data /var/www/bookstack/storage/framework/purifier
sudo chmod -R g+rwx /var/www/bookstack/storage/framework/purifier
```
However the 'purifier' folder doesn't exist.
By running 'ls /var/www/bookstack/storage/framework' as root there are only: 'cache' 'sessions' and 'views'
[20:24:44]
<Buny ✨> so, I started installing yuno host last night. I fed it a domain I have, it started...and has been on that screen since. What's up?
[20:49:16]
<m606> hello, how did you install? do you still have ssh access?
[20:49:22]
<Gwên> Aleks (he/him/il/lui) Coucou, il y a des bots qui rejoignent des salons depuis hier
[20:49:29]
<Gwên> Je vois Iolar bear
[21:34:25]
<Buny ✨> the full suite with Debian included. Last I tried, ssh still works, though I am not at home right now.
[21:37:41]
<Buny ✨> whole disk write. I tried going to the local ip address and it didn't feel like it. Ssh did work.
[22:52:03]
<m606> ISO install ? so you are still seeing the domain configuration postinstall screen?
hmm not sure which log would make sense to debug this. is there anything in `/var/log/yunohost/operations` ?
[22:52:57]
<Buny ✨> how would on access that?
[23:05:20]
<m606> 1. connect via SSH to your server, 2. run `sudo ls /var/log/yunohost/operations`
[23:06:21]
<m606> it should print a list of all yunohost operations logs, maybe there is something related to initial domain config there, though i don't know for sure
[23:16:13]
<m606> also what shows a browser when accessing https://yourdomain.tld/admin ?
[23:16:14]
<Buny ✨> The domain I have is also being used for tuta mail. I was hoping the DNS records wouldn't compromise each other.
[23:17:06]
<Buny ✨> access that through ssh?
[23:53:33]
<m606> no for the URL it is to be tried via a browser
[23:53:37]
<m606> does it show a yunohost screen ?
