<Simon Mellerin 🐨> Hi everyone, I have a small question about application backup and restore.
I tried to upgrade nextcloud and it failed. And the restore seems to not have been done correctly. The app is broken.
But my question is a bit more generic. Yunohost sees nextcloud as installed, and when I go to the backups panel and tried to restore a previous backup of nextcloud, web admin tells me that : "Les applications suivantes ne peuvent pas être restaurées car elles sont déjà installées : nextcloud"
It seems a bit odd for me, does this mean that I have to first uninstall the app to be able to restore it ?
Thanks

<artlog> yunohost backup is not only data, this is application version too, so yes a restore is somehow more like an install with a backup.

<artlog> there is no such thing as restore an older backup on a new version, the way to do is to upgrade. If it fails, what is your case, then... well you are at teh right palce

<artlogmatrix> Simon Mellerin 🐨: nextcloud upgrade failing is quite common since it is so easy to install many app in nextcloud... did you try to find some information in forum or even open a topic ? like https://forum.yunohost.org/t/nextcloud-doesnt-run-after-unsuccessful-upgrade/42062/2
[07:54:25]
<artlog> current trend for php based application failures is around sury packages versions https://forum.yunohost.org/t/yarn-and-sury-apt-keys-issues/41617
