[00:23:06] <Émy - OniriCorpe> maybe the systemd hardening?
[00:23:20] <orhtej2> I mean the same exact code works on my ynh instance where I'm testing and I don't think I tinkered with hardening
[00:23:24] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> could debug permissions with `namei -l /opt/node_n/n/versions/node/20.11.0/bin/pnpm` but it's always a pain debugging in ci context
[00:23:24] <orhtej2> Testing a theory: https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/piped_ynh/pull/6
[00:23:26] <orhtej2> No other app sudoes corepack and perhaps on my system it passes as I already have the latest installed
[00:44:11] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> 😐️
[00:44:11] <orhtej2> > No other app sudoes corepack and perhaps on my system it passes as I already have the latest installed

That was it
[00:44:11] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> <whipser>the future of packaging is running as much stuff as non-root as possible</whipser>
[00:52:51] <orhtej2> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> <whipser>the future of packaging is running as much stuff as non-root as possible</whipser>

I'll do that right after major node libs and/or package managers stop assuming -g install 😉

[17:19:25] <Salamandar> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> or disabling the private test because it's stupid anyway 😬

😬
[17:19:37] <Chatpitaine Caverne> Hello,
Small question. To get used to git stuff and then do less stupid things when I'll decide to contribute. Would you advise me to install gitea or gitlab from the yunohost repository.
TY.
[17:23:05] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> uuuh not really, i would recommend finding a good resource to get used to git commands and the entire paradigm (it's clearly not straightforward i guess, but after a while you get used to it)
[17:23:17] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> there's no interest in installing your own gitea / gitlab to learn git
[17:23:18] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> and as of the "platform to learn on", just learn on whichever real-life git repo you want to contribute to
[17:23:20] <Chatpitaine Caverne> My question was not clear enough. I plan to install a git for my own needs. So the question is more which one looks the more like the one you use ?
But, yeah, I gonna learn from documentation (or videos, but it's always push button...)
[17:33:13] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> i'd say probably Gitea (or rather: Forgejo) because it's clearly more lightweight, but the real question is "it depends what's your expected use of it", for instance, Gitlab CI is much more advanced and Gitlab has more features in general
[17:34:01] <Chatpitaine Caverne> OK,
My needs are mainly documentation and few scripts life cycle. So Gitea would be a good start.
Thank you.
[17:34:03] <kayou> And gitlab is really heavy for your system.

But to learn git, with small projects, I'll suggest gitlab (or github), you don't really need to install anything, except the git cli
[17:34:11] <kayou> Yeah, if you just want to try a git forge without any advanced CI/CD, turbo feature etc, gitea is nice
[17:54:20] <Salamandar> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> apparently Gitea was down for delaying security fixes etc

oh, i didn't know that
[17:54:38] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> s/down/known
[17:54:40] <Salamandar> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> and they develop Gitea using Github lol

yeah they actually had an explanation
[17:55:15] <Salamandar> welp… things often go that way
[17:55:15] *Salamandar thinks about the comptability software he uses…
[17:55:51] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> ?
[17:55:52] <Salamandar> Je divague xD Je parle d'Endi
[17:55:52] <Salamandar> (forked by the **clients** and **founders** of the company editing the software 😬)
[17:55:52] <Salamandar> well no actually that's even worse : and the **hosting providers** of the original software…
[17:56:00] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> ogod

[23:56:42] <PapaDragon> Hi there! I spent my evening trying to solve errors in the package testing in branch mysqp-psql of the Hubzilla repo. When it comes to databases I absolutely don't know what I'm doing, but somehow I managed to have this thing working (at least with the package checker).
But IRL, it needs more work.
After an upgrade of an actual hubzilla pod, which involved the db migration, the pod works, but not completely (some pages don't load, most of the content is not retrived, and so on...). I'm guessing that it's because the migration needs to be improved, but unfortunately this goes way beyond my nearly non-existent skills. It would be very cool if someone could have a look.
[23:57:31] <PapaDragon> PR is https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/hubzilla_ynh/pull/167
