[15:30:35] <ynhuser> migration yunohost 11
[15:41:06] <@tituspijean=5bm=5d:libera.chat> ynhuser: the api may be down after or during the migration. Can you try restarting it from the command line?
[15:41:14] <@tituspijean=5bm=5d:libera.chat> (`sudo systemctl restart yunohost-api`)
[15:45:47] <Lasse Gismo> Hi there. TD I tried to migrate my YH OS on RasPi to bullseye but without success. Shared log pls. find here: https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/vibakucuca. Any suggestion how to go ahead? Thanks.
[15:47:19] <@tituspijean=5bm=5d:libera.chat> PommyK[m]: yes, check out our main forum thread: https://forum.yunohost.org/t/yunohost-11-0-bullseye-release-sortie-de-yunohost-11-0-bullseye/20590#beetle-known-issues-during-the-migration-5

Thanks.
[15:52:10] <emile> eric_G: ok, I will try that this evening
[15:52:40] <Lasse Gismo> > <@PommyK:matrix.org> Thanks.

Mystic hack WO harm - promised?
[15:59:24] <@tituspijean=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Does Aleks pinky-promises his mystic hack is harmless? :p
[15:59:42] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> the mystic hack shall soon be added to the core yeah
[16:00:13] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> don't show it to any sysadmin tho
[16:00:22] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> or be sure to wear ear protection

PFF...ok - done, let's retry migration
[16:04:27] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> emile: beware, what has been seen cannot be unseen
[16:37:00] <Lasse Gismo> > <@PommyK:matrix.org> PFF...ok - done, let's retry migration

Hm - any idea how long I've to wait after the following appears - downloads are through:

[16:39:24] <Lasse Gismo> Packman still moving
[16:42:58] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> hmmm maybe nginx got restarted ...
[16:43:32] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> if you have SSH / CLI access you can try to run `ps -ef --forest | grep -A5 yunohost` to see if it's still doing something
[16:43:43] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> or maybe `grep apt` instead of `grep yunohost`
[16:52:00] <ynhuser> hey, can i change the logo?
[16:54:50] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> https://yunohost.org/en/theming
[16:55:02] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> * https://yunohost.org/en/theming#example-customizing-the-logo
[16:55:11] <Lasse Gismo> Hm - some magic tree output.
Cannot see a YH process but an apt-get --fix-broken...one
Maybe F5 in my browser will help
[16:57:43] <poluxor> Hello
[16:58:56] <Lasse Gismo> Ok - UI tells me "run by YH 11.0.9.1 (stable)" - sounds great, isn't it?
[16:59:39] <poluxor> 11.0.9.1 latest
[17:00:57] <Lasse Gismo> And migration to bullseye is done - right?
[17:02:10] <poluxor> I use YH 11.0.9.1 on bullseye; no problems here
[17:05:44] <Lasse Gismo> I ran the migration from buster short B4 and UI got stuck, after browser F5 saw the detail above - think I was successful poluxor
[17:07:27] <Lasse Gismo> Yep tataaaa - Debian 11.4
[17:08:53] <Lasse Gismo> Many thanks to all contributors of the migration stuff 🍻
[17:09:16] <poluxor> Lasse Gismo  GG
[17:11:02] <Lasse Gismo> Only squid3 don't want to, will reboot and see
[17:15:58] <Lasse Gismo> No route to host - sch...
[17:16:59] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> PommyK[m]: are you on RPi ?
[17:17:18] <Lasse Gismo> Yep
[17:17:57] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> well you may want to apply this fix https://forum.yunohost.org/t/aucun-acces-a-internet-suite-a-migration-4-4-to-11-depuis-raspberry-pi-4-pi-400/20652/45
[17:18:14] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> but you'll need a screen and keyboard directly on your RPi ...
[17:18:27] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> tried to warn about this in the release note
[17:18:31] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> i'm implementing the fix directly in the core right now
[17:19:37] <Lasse Gismo> Great 😑 and thanks
[17:20:34] <Lasse Gismo> But not TD
[17:22:27] <Lasse Gismo> Right directly in the ass (dhcpd sucks)
[17:24:31] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> dhcpc*d
[17:25:24] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> (sorry for being pedantic, but this wasted me like one hour before i realized this was dhcpcd and not dhcpd)
[17:26:44] <Lasse Gismo> You welcome 🤗

[20:00:17] <thurstylark> Is it possible to mount sshfs to the archives folder? I have space issues when trying to restore an app backup, so I moved all the backup archives off my vps to a computer that is accessible via ssh, then mounted that folder to /home/yunohost.backup/archives/ but I'm not sure what incantation is needed to make those archive files recognizable by the yunohost backup system so I can do a restore...
[20:00:53] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> > <@thurstylark:libera.chat> Is it possible to mount sshfs to the archives folder? that should work
[20:05:39] <thurstylark> could it be ownership or perms? I've been fiddling with that, but it hasn't been fruitful yet :P
[20:06:04] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> it could be the directory structure
[20:06:53] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> can you show the output of `ls /home/yunohost.backup/archives/`
[20:10:59] <thurstylark> Navan: https://paste.xinu.at/YNwZ/
[20:11:34] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> looks as expected
[20:12:20] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> No reason you shouldn't
[20:12:20] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> can you see these when you run `sudo yunohost backup list` ?
[20:13:04] <thurstylark> nope. https://paste.xinu.at/ORlq9/
[20:13:22] <thurstylark> now, fwiw, the sshfs mount is done as the admin user, if that changes anything
[20:13:22] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> :(((((((
[20:13:40] *thurstylark is a bit new to sshfs, so isn't sure what info is pertinent :P
[20:13:59] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> give me a second, let me check something
[20:16:37] <thurstylark> np :)
[20:19:25] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> ```
archives = glob(f"{ARCHIVES_PATH}/*.tar.gz") + glob(f"{ARCHIVES_PATH}/*.tar")
archives = {os.path.realpath(archive) for archive in archives}
archives = sorted(archives, key=lambda x: os.path.getctime(x))
```
[20:19:25] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> this is the code that checks for the files in the folder
[20:19:44] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> i am not aware if sshfs is persistent only for the user or not
[20:19:53] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> let me look into it
[20:20:11] <thurstylark> Is that python?
[20:20:28] <thurstylark> ahh, gotcha
[20:20:28] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> https://github.com/YunoHost/yunohost/blob/7a928ba5ad9d00a6d199627714e753df8a1535d6/src/backup.py#L2373-L2387
[20:20:28] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> yep
[20:23:44] <thurstylark> I assume that's executed every time I run `sudo yunohost backup list`?
[20:26:55] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> yep
[20:27:13] <thurstylark> Also, /home/yunohost.backup/ is admin:root 750, so idk if the user who runs the script has any relevance here
[20:27:13] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> can you try re-running the mount command while you are root (i.e `sudo su`)
[20:27:13] <thurstylark> although, I didn't change that dir at all.....
[20:27:13] <thurstylark> nvm, then :P
[20:27:38] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> if that doesn't fix it, then we will need to look into how sshfs shows its filesystem
[20:30:23] <thurstylark> Ha, that did it.
[20:30:40] <thurstylark> Weird, but whatever :P
[20:30:57] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> awesome
[20:30:57] *thurstylark logs a new corner case in his brain :P
[20:34:55] <thurstylark> where does a backup archive get extracted to during restore?
[20:35:18] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> I believe somewhere in `/tmp`
[20:37:55] <thurstylark> hrm, this might not be the solution, then...
[20:37:55] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> not sure if i would recommend that
[20:37:55] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> you could theoretically also mount /tmp using sshfs
[20:39:18] <thurstylark> oh, wait, /tmp isn't actually a tmpfs, it's just a dir on the disk...
[20:39:18] <thurstylark> nvm, then :D
[21:33:24] <@centralscrutinizer=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Ok migration complete successfully on my Pi4. Only issue I found is rspamd service not working:
https://paste.yunohost.org/kinisuforu
[21:33:27] <@centralscrutinizer=5bm=5d:libera.chat> * Ok migration completed successfully on my Pi4. Only issue I found is rspamd service not working:
https://paste.yunohost.org/kinisuforu
[21:34:19] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> iirc the error for rspamd was fixed
[21:34:19] <@navan=5bm=5d:libera.chat> are you running a testing version or a stable version?
[22:19:24] <gub57> Bonsoir. J'ai tenté une migration vers la version 11, mais j'ai une erreur… est-ce que je pose ma question ici ou je vais plutôt sur le forum ?
[22:20:18] <@centralscrutinizer=5bm=5d:libera.chat> mm:
repo: stable
version: 11.0.9.3
[22:21:17] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> gub57: don't ask to ask, just ask ...
[22:21:57] <gub57> ok Aleks https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/setadokuso
[22:22:32] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> `gzip: stdout: No space left on device`
[22:22:36] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> ton /boot/ est plein
[22:22:47] <navan[m]> > mm:
> repo: stable
> version: 11.0.9.3
just want to check that rspamd binary is fine, can you run `/usr/bin/rspamd -c /etc/rspamd/rspamd.conf -f `
[22:22:54] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> je cherche la manip que quelqu'un avait utilisé sur le forum pour faire de la place
[22:23:27] <navan[m]> doesn't matter if it says permission denied for the log file
[22:24:23] <@centralscrutinizer=5bm=5d:libera.chat> segmentation fault
[22:24:39] <navan[m]> Aleks: wasn't this supposed to be fixed?
[22:24:45] <gub57> Aleks Diable mais oui, plein à 90%… D:
[22:25:01] <@centralscrutinizer=5bm=5d:libera.chat> wait I tried as non su
[22:25:08] <navan[m]> doesn't matter
[22:26:04] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> gub57: possiblement tu peux tenter:
`dpkg --get-selections|grep 'linux-image*'|awk '{print $1}'|egrep -v "linux-image-$(uname -r)|linux-image-generic" |while read n;do apt-get -y remove $n --dry-run;done`
La commande est un peu complexe mais en gros ça désinstaller les vieux kernel plus utilisés. Note que j'ai mis `--dry-run` dans la commande pour simuler ce que ça fait, on regarde ensemble la sortie de la commande, et si ça a l'air good on refait sans le `--dry-run`
[22:26:04] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> > <@navan:navan.dev> Aleks: wasn't this supposed to be fixed?
nope
[22:26:04] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> we could warn early about it tho
[22:26:21] <navan[m]> oof
[22:26:41] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> centralscrutinizer: sudo doesn't really matter, segmentation fault is usually because of architecture mismatch or a huge bug in the software itself
[22:26:59] <navan[m]> i thought this was fixed in upstream as well
[22:27:41] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> wait are you talking about rspamd ? Or the /boot/ partition ?
[22:27:41] <@centralscrutinizer=5bm=5d:libera.chat> do you need my migration log?
[22:27:50] <navan[m]> rspamd
[22:28:19] <gub57> Aleks OK Merci, je vais tenter tout ça. J'ai déjà eu un souci du genre (sur un Ubuntu) et j'ai du virer les anciens noyaux… Je pense que c'est bon à partir de là je dois pouvoir y arriver. MERCI (y)
[22:28:44] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Hmmm well supposedly we switched to proper recent Debian builds (compared to the past where we built rspamd ourselve and that led to some incompatibility with RPi 0 and 1) ...
[22:28:45] <navan[m]> wait, I just checked rspamd on my pi and it seems to be working
[22:28:59] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> centralscrutinizer: let's look at `dpkg --list | grep rspamd`
[22:29:11] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> (and also what kind of hardware are you running ?)
[22:30:01] <@centralscrutinizer=5bm=5d:libera.chat> raspberry Pi 4 arm64
[22:30:26] <Curator> .
[22:30:47] <@centralscrutinizer=5bm=5d:libera.chat> 2.7.1
[22:31:09] <navan[m]> whoops that is a pretty old version
[22:31:27] <navan[m]> try upgrading by running `sudo apt upgrade rspamd`
[22:31:39] <navan[m]> for reference, the latest version is `3.2-1~bpo11+1 `
[22:32:10] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> `apt upgrade` can't upgrade specific package
[22:32:23] <@centralscrutinizer=5bm=5d:libera.chat> yeah tried that already intact
[22:32:23] <navan[m]> it cannot? oops
[22:32:37] <@centralscrutinizer=5bm=5d:libera.chat> * yeah tried that already in fact
[22:32:47] <navan[m]> maybe there are old sources.list?
[22:32:58] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> (or "obviously enough" if you want to upgrade a single package, you need to run `apt install <package>` which is like .. "of course" 🤦‍♂️)
[22:33:17] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> centralscrutinizer: let's look at `apt policy rspamd`
[22:34:01] <@centralscrutinizer=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Installed: 2.7-1
Candidate: 2.7-1
Version table:
*** 2.7-1 500
500 http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye/main arm64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
[22:34:02] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> and `dpkg --print-architecture`, just in case
[22:34:44] <@centralscrutinizer=5bm=5d:libera.chat> arm64
[22:35:56] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> ah
[22:36:08] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> we're only serving the .deb on the testing channel, not stable ~_~
[22:36:13] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> let me fix this
[22:36:39] <@centralscrutinizer=5bm=5d:libera.chat> yeah be my guest 😄
[22:39:06] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> ya let's do `apt update` and then `apt dist-upgrade` should display an upgrade for rspamd
[22:42:03] <navan[m]> I am unable to create a tag while posting on the forum. I can only select from the given list, is there something I am missing?
[22:50:51] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> hmmm maybe that's a feature and not a bug
[22:51:03] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> maybe that's meant to prevent users from creating a shitload of redundant tags
[22:51:26] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> but maybe we can grant you the trust level to create tags ;P
[22:51:34] <navan[m]> every app has its own tag in the Announcements and Apps section
[22:51:53] <navan[m]> i usually just reuse a generic tag
[22:53:56] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> holy shit i need dis https://github.com/navanchauhan/VaporwaveGenerator
[22:54:26] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Navan: anyway i added you to trust level 3 so you can create tags
[22:54:46] <navan[m]> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> Navan: anyway i added you to trust level 3 so you can create tags
awesome
[22:54:48] <navan[m]> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> holy shit i need dis https://github.com/navanchauhan/VaporwaveGenerator
I haven't tested this on Linux :p
[22:56:14] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> are you aware there's a vapor theme for the yunohost portal ? 👀 https://github.com/YunoHost/SSOwat/tree/dev/portal/assets/themes/vapor (dunno if it still works tho)
[22:57:14] <navan[m]> I have been running this for a long time
[22:57:25] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> hahaha okay xD
