[00:17:16] <tiotromm[m]> I suspect this migration process "Migrate databases from PostgreSQL 11 to 13 " might be at fault here with Matrix?
[00:18:33] <tiotromm[m]> my Matrix database is 77GB in size...
[00:21:05] <tiotromm[m]> I see these in the server's processes and the number in parenthesis changes it seems. maybe the postgres is still on the way for matrix...
[00:21:15] <tiotromm[m]> already 2-3 hours so far

[03:05:09] <@sergeynvg=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Hi guys!I have met a error Could not start the service 'Yunohost-firewall' after upgrade to Yunohost 11.x
[03:06:38] <@sergeynvg=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Aug 19 05:57:12 systemd[1]: yunohost-firewall.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE

[03:07:21] <@sergeynvg=5bm=5d:libera.chat> What happened with server
[04:01:01] <@tio=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Oh great news I am back 😄
[04:01:07] <@tio=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Matrix works again
[04:01:15] <@tio=5bm=5d:libera.chat> it was indeed a postgres that took some 6-7 hours to finish...damn
[04:01:41] <@tio=5bm=5d:libera.chat> maybe you should add a warning message saying: If you have a huge database psotgres will run in the background for hours
[04:01:49] <@tio=5bm=5d:libera.chat> I really got concerned that my matrix was nuked

HELP ! I need somebody... ;)
[06:20:09] <phlip> Par contre, le site s'affiche correctement : https://sante9naturel.fr

[08:43:32] <@titus=5bm=5d:libera.chat> _bifrost_phlip2fsupport40conferenceyunohostorg[m]: est-ce que tu as des erreurs dans les logs de Dotclear? ou dans la console de ton navigateur?
[08:43:43] <@titus=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Adjen: welcome, anything we can help you with? :)
[08:43:45] <Adjen> salut tituspijean, je répondais juste à _bifrost_phlip=2fsupport=40conference.yunohost.org :)
[08:43:47] <Adjen> et son petit hommage aux Beatles
[08:43:52] <@titus=5bm=5d:libera.chat> xD oh je l'avais pas capté celui-là 😅
[08:44:00] <Adjen> ;)
[09:18:07] <fabio[m]> Hello everyone! I've recently turned my old computer in a YH server and I'm really happy with it so far.
Just wanted to know how do I install elasticsearch and make it work along Mastodon.
Thank you so much!
[09:41:14] <phlip> @titus Uncaught TypeError: editor.lang.clipboard.fileFormatNotSupportedNotification is undefined

[10:52:02] <isAAAc> Fabio: +1 for the ES for Mastodon , if i am not wrong, we can't use it for now (i try to remember with who i talked about that point few months ago...)
[10:52:26] <isAAAc> (and i'm not sure about why we can't neither... /o\ )
[11:20:06] <fabio[m]> > <@isAAAc:libera.chat> Fabio: +1 for the ES for Mastodon , if i am not wrong, we can't use it for now (i try to remember with who i talked about that point few months ago...)

Thank for you help. Mastodon works fine anyway on YH. I'll keep an eye on updates
[12:04:11] <Fred73> Bonjour
[12:04:49] <Fred73> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/qumuvaxeba
[13:45:48] <Mark> hello
[13:45:51] <Fred73> c'est ce que j'ai fait
[13:51:30] <Fred73> oui désolé
[13:56:26] <Fred73> le cas est valide sur le web
[14:12:12] <Fred73> mais pas pour le mx
[14:14:29] <Fred73> je sais pas si tu vois les captures
[14:18:15] <mfrisch[m]> * Hi. Is there docker or podman instructions? Seems close to wsl got to the setting up resolvconf then it failed.
[14:18:54] <Fred7392> auto signé
[14:19:22] <Fred7392> le domaine du web et du mx sont les memes
[14:19:49] <Fred7392> "mail.r5.re"
[14:20:11] <Fred7392> je peut  rémunérer pour du support
[14:20:40] <Fred7392> Merci d'avance
[15:22:04] <zaha> Hi, I can't seem to enter the manual partitioning screen when I try to install the os, is this intentional? If I select any guided option it fails to create efi partition and it loops in a screen crying about no efi partition, if I select manual it loops in a screen crying about no root partition.
[15:26:58] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> if i remember correctly it's available in the expert mode
[16:56:59] <Fred73> Bonsoir
[16:57:03] <Fred73> il n'y a pas un Discord ?
[16:57:03] <Fred73> svp
[17:12:52] <@szkodnix=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Do we have anyone who is hosting GlitchSoc or Mastodon here? I would like to know if there is any media cache cleaning option and if so, how can I do it
[17:57:16] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> So, still have :

-Flarum
-Funkwhale
-Nextcloud
-Wordpress (two sites)
-Yeswiki

That have 502 Bad gateway. How i can have logs for things like this ? Like i know how oto have it for program but here...
[17:58:57] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Php/nginx and all this are so hard and obscur to me, i barelly understand anything. Like php have a service, and a pools folder that have .conf, i try to get the logic here but all wiki and documentation are quite hard for me.
[18:02:40] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> tripop: yes that's pretty much crap and unfortunately that's the way it works ...
[18:03:27] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> But didn't php like "run" the apps ? Or it's ngnix ?
[18:03:27] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> I don't reacall the entire context but probably you don't have php7.4-fpm running if the buster->bullseye migration (0021) didn't finish at 100%
[18:03:48] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> nginx is only "just" like the waiter/waitress in a restaurant
[18:04:02] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> php-fpm is the PHP-cook in the back of the restaurant
[18:04:18] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> and your app is basically the menu
[18:04:31] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> but the waiter/waitress can't serve you food if there's no cook
[18:04:50] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> this is what "502 bad gateway" means, explain-like-i'm-5 style
[18:05:50] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> so maybe no cook was recruited at all (ie php7.4-fpm is not installed), maybe the cook is supposed to be there but isn't (because he's sick, ie bad configuration), etc...
[18:05:53] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> I don't reacall the entire context but probably you don't have php7.4-fpm running if the buster->bullseye migration (0021) didn't finish at 100%

Hum not, it's more than that :
-I made a full backup with all data+apps on yunohost buster
-I start a fresh yunohost bullseye installation on my old installation
-I recover all my apps from this backup.

It's weird because after i restore my backup yunhost did have migrations for my old php7.3/python apps. And somes have recover with succes
[18:06:11] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Ahah, that's some great analogie here ! I kind of get it
[18:06:29] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> hmyea so i'm suspecting a bug in the restoration process because yunohost is supposed to magically replace the php7.3 stuff by php7.4 "on the fly" when restoring the app
[18:06:53] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> so let's look at `grep -nr 'php.*sock' /etc/nginx/conf.d/*/nextcloud.conf`
[18:08:16] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Hum.. look so yeah. But no php7.3 folders on system and no sign of php 7.3 on nextcloud.conf in php pools.d folder.

But, yeah :

`105: fastcgi_pass unix:/var/run/php/php7.3-fpm-nextcloud.sock;`
[18:08:28] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> * Hum.. look so yeah. But no php7.3 folders on system and no sign of php 7.3 on nextcloud.conf in php pools.d folder.

But, yeah it show this:

`105: fastcgi_pass unix:/var/run/php/php7.3-fpm-nextcloud.sock;`
[18:08:57] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> yeah so the issue is that this should be 7.4 here
[18:09:20] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> so let's `sed -i 's/php7.3/php7.4/g' /etc/nginx/conf.d/*/nextcloud.conf`
[18:09:26] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> and `systemctl reload nginx`
[18:09:35] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> and gonna patch this in the code because seen this multiple time ...
[18:10:11] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Yeah it worked !
[18:10:25] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> ah actually we need to do this for the other apps i suppose
[18:10:36] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> so let's `sed -i 's/php7.3/php7.4/g' /etc/nginx/conf.d/*/*.conf`
[18:10:43] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> and `systemctl reload nginx`
[18:11:49] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Ok it was this then.
[18:12:27] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> It worked for all apps yeah.
[18:12:29] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Still got issue with funkwhale, but it's python related
[18:13:14] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Oh man, i should learn `sed` but also this is the kind of tools that you could break a LOTS of stuffs on a system i guess 😅
[18:13:31] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Thks a lots for the help again !
[18:13:55] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> basically it's "just" `sed 's/whatyouwanttoreplace/thereplacement/g'`
[18:14:21] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> and then `-i` to replace directly in the target file (instead of displaying what the file would look like after the replacement)
[18:14:25] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Yeah i kind of deduce that. I'm a moron that still use nano for like all edit
[18:14:29] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> but then it gets tricky when there's special char in the pattern to replace
[18:14:45] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> yeah but at least with nano you see what's going on :P
[18:15:01] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> would do it with nano myself, but harder to explan on chat that "just type this"
[18:15:02] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Yeah that's what reassure me
[18:15:32] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> because then you have to explain how to quit nano which is not 100% straightforward because it asks for the filename etc
[18:15:42] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Well when i see it was on nginx folders side i was going to just do that, but yeah, one line that fix all issues is always good
[18:16:38] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> On funkwhale side, it's all services that ask for modules that they don't seem to find.
[18:17:08] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> funkwhale may need to gets its venv rebuilt
[18:17:19] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> so you gotta force an upgrade
[18:17:29] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> with `yunohost app upgrade funkwhale --force`
[18:17:31] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> logs :

[18:17:47] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> so you gotta force an upgrade

Ok i will try that
[18:17:47] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> 🤔
[18:17:49] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> hmmm wait a bit
[18:17:59] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> ok
[18:19:11] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> hmyeah idk no trace of celery/gunicorn in the install script, the error message sounded like it was supposed to be installed globally maybe
[18:19:13] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> nevermind
[18:19:13] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> just force-upgrade the app should be the fix
[19:44:07] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Yeah that did the tricks
[19:44:30] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Ok then, everything good now ! Just... need to investigate on the slow connexion on simple-torrent
[19:44:54] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> * Ok then, everything good now ! Just... need to investigate on the slow connexion on simple-torrent now
[19:48:24] <dustin65> Hi all!
[19:48:36] <dustin65> Just installed ynh last night, seems pretty cool. I think I broke something though... can't get in to the admin panel anymore. If I try to run "yunohost" in a shell, it will say "Error: YunoHost is not correctly installed. Please run 'yunohost tools postinstall'", but if I try to run the postinstall, I get "Error: It looks like you're trying to
[19:48:49] <dustin65> re-postinstall a system that was already working previously ... If you recently had some bug or issues with your installation, please first discuss with the team on how to fix the situation instead of savagely re-running the postinstall ...". I'm stuck, what do I do?
[19:49:13] <mcint> I'm having issues with getting updated DNS recognized, on a new system. I get the expected response from host -v/dig, expected NS Authority, but yunohost diagnosis is not picking it up. Seems like negative results were cached, either internally or in the upstream (system?) resolver the app uses
[19:51:57] <mcint> Ah, openresolv, cool multiple management of resolveconf. Hmm, resolved itself--restarted the nameserver-manager
[19:57:05] <mfrisch[m]> Hi. Fresh install of yunohost11 THANKS !!!!!!! IT ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!
[20:04:54] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> > <@dustin65:libera.chat> re-postinstall a system that was already working previously ... If you recently had some bug or issues with your installation, please first discuss with the team on how to fix the situation instead of savagely re-running the postinstall ...". I'm stuck, what do I do?

what are `systemctl status yunohost-api` ?
[20:17:11] <dustinwidmann> for posterity / to keep anyone else from spinning their wheels... I fixed my stuff. Apparently all ll I needed to do was touch /etc/yunohost/installed. Took a minute to find that tidbit though.
[20:17:48] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> ...
[20:19:37] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> dustinwidmann: yeah that's like we chose to display a message asking to "first discuss this with the team", because it was so much easier than automagically do `touch /etc/yunohost/installed` ...
[20:19:43] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> and now we have no clue how you even ended up in that situation
[20:19:45] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> like the only explanation we know of would be "you somehow forced the uninstall of yunohost despite all the warnings then reinstalled it again"

Tu as juste as faire l'update vers yunohost 11
[20:55:57] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> tu as peut-être déja fais l'update, mais pas les migrations
[20:57:14] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Hum, let's assume i want to just "transfert" one apps from a selfhosted server to another, like from a rpi to a actual computer. What should i do ? like use backup ? look into docs of the apps to migrate ?
[21:01:00] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> using backup, yes
[21:01:13] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> though backup assume you have the same domain on the destination server
[21:01:27] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> though you could also, if available, use the change-url before / after
[21:01:36] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> (which requires to add the domain in yunohost at least temporarily)

okay thks. And now a technical one.. Hum, how can i install yunohost on a lvm encrypted drive ? Because yeah long story short : i encrypted a drive with debian 11 for a few test, and now i want to just install yunohost (also because yunohost bash install don't work) and it don't seem to install on my drive. And i figure i have like to open the lvm drive before, but how i do that ?
[22:27:26] <ynhuser> hello can anyone advise on a failed upgrade to bullseye?
[22:27:57] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> I look for some answers, but cryptsetup don't work with the command line of the graphical installer, i don't found a /etc/fstab file to add my drive on the usb, i didn't really found how i can do that in the installer
[22:28:16] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> > <@ynhuser:libera.chat> hello can anyone advise on a failed upgrade to bullseye?

Depends, how the update failed ? like what apps ?
[22:30:06] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> > <@tripop:nullmoon.fr> okay thks. And now a technical one.. Hum, how can i install yunohost on a lvm encrypted drive ? uuuuuh well idk, if you're able to access the Debian, why not just run the usual curl | bash method ?
[22:30:14] <ynhuser> its the whole thing, after about 30 mins it just failed Ive ssh'ed in with sudo yunohost tools migrations run --accept-disclaimer and got.... Info: Running migration 0021_migrate_to_bullseye...
[22:30:16] <ynhuser> Info: The operation 'Run migrations' could not be completed. Please share the full log of this operation using the command 'yunohost log share 20220819-222930-tools_migrations_migrate_forward' to get help

[22:31:53] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> like i said i didn't work. Weird behaviour of the system like lock the sources and all. Didn't try to understand, so i just try a yunohost install
[22:32:09] <ynhuser> Aleks yes i saw that but my knowledge stps there in how I can see the space allocation and fix it
[22:32:17] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> But maybe i need to do a fresh debian 11 installation with a /etc/fstab edited or cryptsetup might be there
[22:32:55] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> ynhuser: sure, and indeed we wrote "Please look for advice on the forum" so you're doing the right thing ;P , let me grab a command that was discussed on the forum on how to fix this
[22:33:13] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> (it's kinda hidden in the super long thread)
[22:33:15] <@tripop=5bm=5d:libera.chat> (and now it seem the yunohost installer break my boot despite the fact it show error when creating partition)
[22:35:52] <ynhuser> also now when I do system update there are 5 new update but I get ... 'Error: "400" Bad Request
[22:35:53] <ynhuser> Action: "PUT" /yunohost/api/upgrade/system'
[22:35:54] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> ynhuser: `dpkg --get-selections|grep 'linux-image*'|awk '{print $1}'|egrep -v "linux-image-$(uname -r)|linux-image-generic" |while read n;do apt-get -y remove $n;don`
[22:35:55] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> * ynhuser: `dpkg --get-selections|grep 'linux-image*'|awk '{print $1}'|egrep -v "linux-image-$(uname -r)|linux-image-generic" |while read n;do apt-get -y remove $n;done`
[22:36:17] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> this (big) command will cleanup unused/stale kernels
[22:36:43] <ynhuser> Aleks ok... here we go, giving it a try....
[22:38:06] <ynhuser> do i do a sudo at the front of this ? guess so?
[22:38:40] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> hmmm in front of the apt, yes:

`dpkg --get-selections|grep 'linux-image*'|awk '{print $1}'|egrep -v "linux-image-$(uname -r)|linux-image-generic" |while read n;do sudo apt-get -y remove $n;done`
[22:39:00] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> (or just write `sudo -i` as one independant command before this to become root)
[22:39:21] <ynhuser> so its::: sudo dpkg --get-selections|grep 'linux-image*'|awk '{print $1}'|egrep -v "linux-image-$(uname -r)|linux-image-generic" |while read n;do apt-get -y remove $n;don
[22:39:57] <ynhuser> sorry of im missing somethig... Im usually ok at getting my hands dirty but this is a little bit above my knowledge base
[22:40:15] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> nope, the sudo must be in front of the apt ... otherwise the sudo only applies to the dpkg command ... It's a bit hard to explain the whole thing in chat, it's kind of a complex command
[22:40:31] <ynhuser> right, i see
[22:40:35] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> The right command is :

```
dpkg --get-selections|grep 'linux-image*'|awk '{print $1}'|egrep -v "linux-image-$(uname -r)|linux-image-generic" |while read n;do sudo apt-get -y remove $n;done
```

[23:19:22] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> why would it not be happy with the install devices T_T
[23:19:25] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> and just to double-check, you did try to run `DEBIAN_FRONTEND=dialog sudo dpkg --configure grub-pc` earlier a couple minutes ago, right ?
[23:19:26] <ynhuser> yes sir i did
[23:19:28] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> i mean what's expected is to get something like this https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/818633/111263716-6eeba080-867a-11eb-8424-c560c096cd7a.png
[23:19:29] <ynhuser> oh right.. no... never seen that on this system. I get the idea of what GRUB is and that has never been seen. Yet
[23:19:30] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> i mean strictly speaking this is not grub, this is just a screen to choose where grub should be installed ... which seems to be somehow the root of the issue here, because grub-pc doesn't know (or doesn't like?) where it should be installed
[23:19:31] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> which should basically not happen because it usually knows where the grub is currently installed and just installs on the same device ...
[23:19:32] <ynhuser> i understand
[23:19:33] <ynhuser> hmmmm
[23:19:34] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> let's check what this says : `sudo debconf-show grub-pc | grep install_devices`
[23:19:36] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> and `df -h`
[23:19:37] <ynhuser> the first gave:  grub-pc/install_devices_empty: false
[23:19:39] <ynhuser>   grub-pc/install_devices_failed: false
[23:19:40] <ynhuser> * grub-pc/install_devices: /dev/disk/by-id/virtio-512941d3409c4407b553
[23:19:41] <ynhuser>   grub-pc/install_devices_disks_changed: /dev/disk/by-id/virtio-512941d3409c4407b553
[23:19:42] <ynhuser>   grub-pc/install_devices_failed_upgrade: true
[23:19:44] <ynhuser> df -h gives: Filesystem               Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
[23:19:45] <ynhuser> udev                     3.6G     0  3.6G   0% /dev
[23:19:47] <ynhuser> tmpfs                    727M  648K  726M   1% /run
[23:19:48] <ynhuser> tmpfs                    3.6G   32K  3.6G   1% /dev/shm
[23:19:50] <ynhuser> tmpfs                    727M     0  727M   0% /run/user/1007
[23:19:50] <ynhuser> tmpfs                    5.0M     0  5.0M   0% /run/lock
[23:19:51] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> aaaaand did you get kicked or something
[23:19:52] <ynhuser> sorry kicked?
[23:19:54] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> yeah idk last line was "tmpfs 727M 0 727M 0% /run/user/1007"
[23:19:56] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> usually there's a bunch of other lines in `df -h`
[23:19:58] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> usually we tend to use `paste.yunohost.org` to post/share logs
[23:19:59] <ynhuser> This is all I get:
[23:19:59] <ynhuser> ill try df -h again
[23:20:00] <ynhuser> Filesystem               Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
[23:20:01] <ynhuser> udev                     3.6G     0  3.6G   0% /dev
[23:20:02] <ynhuser> tmpfs                    727M  648K  726M   1% /run
[23:20:02] <ynhuser> tmpfs                    3.6G   32K  3.6G   1% /dev/shm
[23:20:04] <ynhuser> tmpfs                    727M     0  727M   0% /run/user/1007
[23:20:04] <ynhuser> tmpfs                    5.0M     0  5.0M   0% /run/lock
[23:20:05] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> (df -h doesn't produce any effect by itself, this is just a way of dumping the list of disks / filesystems and info on them, here the point being to check where to install grub)
[23:20:06] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> é_è
[23:20:08] <ynhuser> understood
[23:20:09] <ynhuser> looks like I might be one of those "I'll install fresh again from scratch" types on this one, or just rollback to my previous snapshot.
[23:20:09] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> (still didn't get the full output of `df -h` ... it would help to just share it via `paste.yunohost.org` ...)
[23:20:09] <ynhuser> you've been great with your time so far.
[23:20:10] <ynhuser> paste.yunohost.org just tried this but maybe the sytax ive got wrong
[23:20:14] <ynhuser> done it: https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/sotagecegu
[23:20:15] <ynhuser> this is the log when i do: 'sudo yunohost tools migrations run --accept-disclaimer'
[23:20:16] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> uuuh but what i mean was ... Open https://paste.yunohost.org/, copy the output of `df -h` in there, click on the "Save" icon, share the generated link ...
[23:20:17] <ynhuser> https://paste.yunohost.org/yeqewiliba.erl
[23:20:18] <ynhuser> sorry sorry sorry... the last link is the df -h output
[23:20:19] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> alright, so /boot/ is on /dev/vda1
[23:20:20] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> so let's try:
[23:20:22] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> ```
debconf-set-selections <<< "grub-pc grub-pc/install_devices multiselect /dev/vda1"
```
[23:20:26] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> * ```
sudo debconf-set-selections <<< "grub-pc grub-pc/install_devices multiselect /dev/vda1"
```
[23:20:27] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> * ```bash
sudo debconf-set-selections <<< "grub-pc grub-pc/install_devices multiselect /dev/vda1"
```
[23:20:28] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> and then retry `sudo dpkg --configure -a`
[23:20:29] <ynhuser> that all gave (if I did it right) 'Setting up grub-pc (2.04-20) ...
[23:20:30] <ynhuser> Installing for i386-pc platform.
[23:20:37] <ynhuser> Installation finished. No error reported.
[23:20:38] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> eeeeeh okay it sort of worked it look like ? 🤔
[23:20:39] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> almost sounds too easy haha
[23:20:53] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> anyway it's always a bit spooky to have to tweak those but sounds like it's okay now ...
[23:20:59] <ynhuser> and the next move?
[23:21:00] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> so let's retry the migration
[23:21:19] <ynhuser> ok.. her goes.. ill do it the CLI
[23:22:05] <@tio=5bm=5d:libera.chat> quick question: when upgrading to ynh 11 but you still have apps that are not up to date, is this a bad practice?
[23:22:22] <@tio=5bm=5d:libera.chat> what if you upgrade to ynh 11 and the not-updated apps depend on an older version of ynh?
[23:22:25] <@tio=5bm=5d:libera.chat> is that a thing we should be aware of?
[23:22:44] <ynhuser> its running now without stopping
[23:23:35] <ynhuser> there is now much scrolling of text going on
[23:23:50] <ynhuser> but removing at the moment
[23:24:13] <ynhuser> so all lines at the moment say Removing .........
[23:24:23] <ynhuser> now Get......
[23:24:39] <ynhuser> preparing and unpaking going on
[23:25:06] <ynhuser> Regenerating configuration. This may take some time
[23:25:18] <ynhuser> Sorry for the commentary
[23:25:28] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> Tio: eeeeeh ... weell yeah theoretically that can happen, you could manage to end up on a system where the app could *not* be re-installable because it absolutely needed stuff from the buster era ... eg php 7.3 or python 2 ... and if that's the case it's better to be aware of it 😅
[23:25:40] <@Alekswag=5bm=5d:libera.chat> ynhuser: yeah that's the expected stuff
