[01:13:06] <beedee> you guys have a great setup and support system for synapse. much appreciated
[01:13:20] <beedee> i look forward to the new control panel for it
[01:13:32] <beedee> as well as sliding sync https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/synapse_ynh/issues/395
[20:52:45] <kiriko09> Any chance someone may have an idea ?
[20:54:07] <kiriko09> Hi there !
Someone told me I might find help here, so I'm trying, hoping I do (thanks for your time if you can help me).

In a nutshell:

I recently bought a raspberry pi 4, installed Yunohost on it (first time trying self-hosting, no experience as admin, a bit lost...).
The installation of Yunohost went well and all (except 2: IPv6 and reverse DNS) diagnostics are green.
Then I installed an app called Kresus, the installation went well
I did everything from the webadmin connecting to raspberry pi from my personal PC (Ubtuntu, Firefox)
But:

When I try to open Kresus from the webadmin I get a timedout connection page
I already reached out to the developers of Kresus, after a few tests they say that Kresus runs fine in the background and that the problem is probably elsewhere, they advised me to seek help here
Here is the Github page where I give more details (screenshots and CLI output) + the discussion with Kresus devs: https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/kresus_ynh/issues/169#issuecomment-1780511473

Any chance someone has an idea what's going on ?

Hi. Same question: does it occur every time you try to install it? Or did you try only once?
[21:01:10] <kiriko09> > Hi. Same question: does it occur every time you try to install it? Or did you try only once?
Occurs everytime,
Thanks for your answer, I was about to give up
[21:01:54] <kiriko09> (I uninstalled and re-installed => exact same behaviour
[21:12:52] <kiriko09> Could it have something to do with fact my yunohost install does not seem to have IPv6 and reverse DNS configured ?
These are the 2 issues that the diagnostics tool warns about.
[21:25:51] <nicofrand> I honestly don't know
[21:26:55] <nicofrand> Can you give the result of `service Kresus status` ?
[21:27:12] <nicofrand> kiriko09: ^
[21:31:15] <kiriko09> https://aria.im/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/FLDMTYlTMEYHEylEdygvbQdP
[21:32:11] <nicofrand> And curl -4 http://127.0.0.1:9876
[21:32:13] <nicofrand> ?
[21:32:36] <kiriko09> https://aria.im/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/etKhVnazQiNLyAxyjWCdexjl
[21:32:46] <kiriko09> (same result if I try with sudo)
[21:34:05] <nicofrand> `sudo netstat -plnt | grep 9876` (again)?
[21:35:44] <kiriko09> no output
[21:36:15] <kiriko09> https://aria.im/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/bchkNsydGkEEJOUvXfOfRSYc
[21:38:13] <nicofrand> Weird that used to work
[21:38:26] <nicofrand> Kresus is installed right now, right?
[21:39:04] <kiriko09>
yes it is
[21:39:36] <kiriko09> https://aria.im/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/ffCfWOHVaBbZqBbDAKLuVHrS
[21:40:13] <kiriko09> https://aria.im/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/XJpDdCEqFkfKfqEMFPOTicyk
[21:41:16] <kiriko09> yeah I agree it was working before I de-installed and re-installed it
[21:41:31] <kiriko09> strange
[21:41:53] <kiriko09> +6
[21:42:01] <nicofrand> Can you share the content of /var/www/kresus/config.ini please (except the salt and db section)
[21:50:29] <kiriko09> https://aria.im/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/AdnGTjkFFnjkfrxiQqGiFHYc
[21:50:53] <kiriko09> Here it is, I have removed the [db] section, but there was no [salt] section
[21:54:43] <nicofrand> Port 47603 lol ok
[21:55:43] <nicofrand> curl http://[::1]:47603
[21:56:16] <nicofrand> Et curl http://127.0.0.1:47603
[22:02:50] <kiriko09> https://aria.im/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/vpdDyGWEikiVgsWNJYYAbZpK
[22:03:09] <kiriko09> One is refused, the other one nothing happens, I have to interrupt with ctrl+C
[22:05:04] <nicofrand> What's the content of you /etc/hosts file?
[22:05:33] <nicofrand> > Et curl http://127.0.0.1:47603
