[14:48:43] <Guillaume Bouzige> hello there, if someone can launch CI for my PRs https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/cryptpad_ynh/pull/144 https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/cryptpad_sandboxing_ynh/pull/1
[15:17:21] <Guillaume Bouzige> why the CI doesnt let me do things like I want ?!
[15:17:37] <Guillaume Bouzige> I want to test that the domain has a correct Let's encrypt certificate during the install
[15:17:51] <Guillaume Bouzige> I do, it works but not for the CI https://ci-apps-dev.yunohost.org/ci/job/3849
[15:26:45] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> you won't be able to have a Lets Encrypt cert during the install
[15:27:04] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> i mean not on the CI
[15:27:07] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> the CI runs inside a container on a machine that is not actually exposed on the internet etc
[15:46:22] <Guillaume Bouzige> I know I know
[15:46:31] <Guillaume Bouzige> I just want to deploy cryptpad app
[15:47:46] <Guillaume Bouzige> is there a way to bypass CI or anything or...is it such a bad idea ?
[15:48:16] <Guillaume Bouzige> I mean to force to have a correct certificate before install, it will crash later if you don't have it anyway
[15:51:12] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> inside the app scripts you can test that you are inside the CI, i don't remember the variable name exactly, something like `$IS_PACKAGE_CHECK`
[15:51:31] <Guillaume Bouzige> aaahhh where can I found the exact var ?
[15:52:07] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> `if [ ${PACKAGE_CHECK_EXEC:-0} -eq 1 ]; then`
[15:52:52] <Guillaume Bouzige> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> `if [ ${PACKAGE_CHECK_EXEC:-0} -eq 1 ]; then`

this block will not be executed by CI ?
[15:53:02] <Guillaume Bouzige> or !
[15:53:20] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/wekan_ynh/blob/master/scripts/install#L158
[15:53:39] <Guillaume Bouzige> gr8t
[15:53:42] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> in that example, the script waits an "artificial" 60 seconds more when ran on the CI
[15:53:54] <Guillaume Bouzige> yup got it
[15:53:59] <Guillaume Bouzige> mega thanks
[15:55:46] <Guillaume Bouzige> I can just restart the job or do I need a comment with power to start CI ?
[16:11:48] <Guillaume Bouzige> what could this mean `14551 WARNING Pick a valid value for argument 'domain': 'sandbox-sub.domain.tld' is not among the available choices (domain.tld, sub.domain.tld)`
[16:35:42] <Yunohost Git/Infra notifications> [apps] @alexAubin created new branch drop-high-quality-flag

[16:40:26] <Yunohost Git/Infra notifications> [apps] @alexAubin opened pull request #1529: Drop high_quality flag é_è https://github.com/YunoHost/apps/pull/1529
[16:43:25] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> > what could this mean `14551 WARNING Pick a valid value for argument 'domain': 'sandbox-sub.domain.tld' is not among the available choices (domain.tld, sub.domain.tld)`

It means the only domains currently installed on yunohost are "domain.tld" and "sub.domain.tld", and "sandbox-sub.domain.tld" is therefore not an avaiable choice for the "domain" arg ...
[16:43:42] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> (you definitely chose the app that maximizes the number of headaches @_@)
[16:46:49] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> from what I understand about your app / context, I think maybe instead :

- I assume that the domain _has_ to be named exactly `sandbox-foo.tld`, with `foo.tld` being the domain where cryptpad is or will be installed
- switch the domain arg type to just "string" instead of "domain" in your manifest questions
- at the beginning of the install script, validate that the part after `sandbox-` is a domain that actually exists on yunohost
- ... and validate that the `sandbox-foo.tld` also exists on yunohost
[16:47:51] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> however the behavior of the app may be a bit funky because there are some automations related to the fact that the domain arg is supposed to be of type domain ... but maybe that's okay
[17:03:36] <Guillaume Bouzige> Thanks Aleks (he/him/il/lui) ! to give you better context, now I have separated into two app one for main and one for sandbox. I shall try what you propose then. All my unit test went well this afternoon but the CI didn't wanted it so...
