[07:18:44] <Guillaume Bouzige> hello Loha nG: have you configured the sandbox domain in your DNS and generate the certificates like you were told in the email you received after upgrade ?
[08:41:52] <tempofunktron> lucianomunoz: Are you trying your Yunohost admin password or your server root password?
[10:32:32] <LohanG> To be frank, this feels like dealing with ransomware
[11:13:28] <LohanG> We are still locked out. Decided to postpone our work as the day is almost over. I really hope that the said "solution" works. The email came AFTER the upgrade. There were no prior warnings that our data will be inaccessible and we will be locked out of out files.
[11:34:12] <Guillaume Bouzige> so you didnt create the DNS configuration for the sandbox domain and you didnt generate the certificates after all ?
[11:34:37] <Guillaume Bouzige> cause you thought it was ransomware...
[11:42:00] <LohanG> Guillaume Bouzige: I postponed it. I did not think it was ransomware. I said the way thi sis done and having to deal with it after the upgrade FEELS like dealing with ransomware
[11:44:18] <LohanG> Guillaume Bouzige: I will follow the instructions at a later time. We had a disaster of a day due to this lockout.
[11:44:58] <LohanG> Lesson 1 : Don't upgrade while you are in the middle of critical work. Lesson 2 : Don't use CryptPad.
[11:45:25] <Guillaume Bouzige> I see...you can go and read cryptpad docs then it will make you FEEL better too about sandbox domain...
[11:46:27] <LohanG> Guillaume Bouzige: I certainly CAN.
[11:46:53] <LohanG> Guillaume Bouzige: I would like to thank you again for clarifying this matter.
[11:47:12] <Guillaume Bouzige> 🙏
[11:47:43] <LohanG> logging out now. no point in arguing here about the way this was implemented. this is not yunohost's decision.
[11:48:01] <LohanG> o/
[14:19:41] <rastanet[m]> Hi all, I have an issue with yunohost. I can't install Nextcloud or Synapse. Fail install. My version is 11.1.14. How to do ? Thanks for you help
[14:19:43] <yunohelper> Hello @rastanet[m]:libera.chat! It looks like you are a Matrix user in the #yunohost:libera.chat room. It is preferable you use the #yunohost:matrix.org for proper usage of our XMPP/IRC/Matrix bridge. 💕
[14:21:00] <rastanet> Hi all, I have an issue with yunohost. I can't install Nextcloud or Synapse. Fail install. My version is 11.1.14. How to do ? Thanks for you help

You need to send the logs in order to get some help.
[16:24:24] <rodrigue> coin coin
[19:42:19] <rastanet> > <@chatpitaine:cirkau.art> You need to send the logs in order to get some help.

Chatpitaine Caverne: I can provide you with the whole logs, but it is very important...

[19:46:51] <Chatpitaine Caverne> > <@rastanet:matrix.org> Chatpitaine Caverne: I can provide you with the whole logs, but it is very important...

You can use the yunopaste of the log. It removes all sensitive datas and provide an url to share the log.
Go in Tools/logs and then share the log.
As a remind of the welcome message of this room :
"Self-hosting made easy. Be civil and ask directly your question. Provide context *AND* *full* logs - we simply CAN NOT magically help you if you don't provide *both*. Support room bridged with XMPP and IRC."

Cause it says : " Username is invalid because files already exist for this user" and you have chosen admin.
Maybe you could try another user than admin. A good choice is usually the first user you created as app admin.

[19:59:29] <rastanet> OK I will create an another user. Give Admin right and try. Thanks
[20:05:45] <rastanet> Sorry to bother you, but same issue with an another user : https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/bexucideci
[20:23:33] <Chatpitaine Caverne> > <@rastanet:matrix.org> Sorry to bother you, but same issue with an another user : https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/bexucideci

You don't bother me.
I tried install on a VM everything fine. No idea yet, still looking for ideas.

[20:29:56] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> it's not related to the user running the install, "admin" is hardcoded in the install script
[20:30:23] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> maybe that's because `/home/yunohost.app/nextcloud/data` already contains files, idk
[20:35:04] <rastanet> OK i'ts seems that if I delete the folder it will working. Is it the same issue with synapse?
[20:41:34] <rastanet> OK I deleted now the folder. I will try again. Do I need to create an another user with right admin?
[20:49:23] <Chatpitaine Caverne> No, that was not relevant. As said Aleks, The use of admin it hard coded. Use your usual admin user.
[20:52:34] <rastanet> A big thanks. Nextcloud has been successfully installed.
[20:52:36] <rastanet> I will try again later to install synapse. Thanks again for your help
