[05:31:33] <LohanG> Guillaume Bouzige: at last I was able to create DNS records for the sandbox domain. Now I am able to access my files. :)
[05:33:36] <LohanG> I wish yunohost posted a warning about this change in the forum. It is a serious change. If you don't know that you are going to be locked out of your files after the upgrade, you are in trouble. Not everyone have access to DNS configurations. Like in my case, there may be a third party handling it.
[05:44:56] <LohanG> I hope the package maintainers see this https://forum.yunohost.org/t/cryptpad-upgrade-to-5-2-1-ynh6-seems-to-have-broken-my-installation/24055/4?u=elgee

Answered :)
[07:24:10] <LohanG> tituspijean: Thanks! :)
[09:27:51] <wilow04[m]> bonjour tout le monde :)
[09:28:01] <yunohelper> Hello @wilow04[m]:libera.chat! It looks like you are a Matrix user in the #yunohost:libera.chat room. It is preferable you use the #yunohost:matrix.org for proper usage of our XMPP/IRC/Matrix bridge. 💕
[09:33:47] <tituspijean> Bonjour!
[09:38:22] <wilow04[m]> voila mon souci
[09:41:23] <wilow-guilhem-nimyz-hsnk-osk> allo?
[09:53:27] <wilow04[m]> autre souci: Ce salon a été remplacé et n’est plus actif.
La discussion continue ici.
[09:53:32] <wilow04[m]> souci2
[11:09:13] <lud0> https://matrix.to/#/#yunohost:matrix.org
[16:05:32] <titus[m]> > <@wilow04:w.xmi.ynh.fr> autre souci: Ce salon a été remplacé et n’est plus actif.
> La discussion continue ici.

Ah oui, deux choses se cumulent:
[16:05:38] <yunohelper> Hello @titus[m]:libera.chat! It looks like you are a Matrix user in the #yunohost:libera.chat room. It is preferable you use the #yunohost:matrix.org for proper usage of our XMPP/IRC/Matrix bridge. 💕
[16:06:07] <titus[m]> _How dare you_
[16:06:58] <tituspijean> (Bon j'ai raté le format, mais il y a bien deux raisons ^^)
[17:12:04] <adrien> Hello, i've installed Synapse on my server and i would like to know if you can see this message :)
[17:15:19] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> yup 👍️
[17:15:22] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> congratz
[17:16:41] <adrien> Thank you :D
[17:16:54] <adrien> It's very hard to configure it
[17:17:09] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> what were the major hurdles ?
[17:17:26] <adrien> It doesn't work with Yunohost app, i need to install it on docker :(
[17:17:36] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> :|
[17:17:41] <adrien> With Yunohost app package, federation doesn't work
[17:18:05] <adrien> i'm able to connect with my ynh account and create channel
[17:18:13] <adrien> but i'm unable to join this channel
[17:18:48] <adrien> or other channel out of my server
[17:18:54] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> even after following the instructions in https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/synapse_ynh#access-by-federation ?
[17:19:03] <adrien> error "M_UNKNOW
[17:19:37] <adrien> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> even after following the instructions in https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/synapse_ynh#access-by-federation ?

unfortunnatly yes
[17:28:28] <adrien> So now, do you know if it's possible to use yunohost bridges apps with docker synapse installation ?
[17:32:56] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> ogod ..
[17:33:14] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> no idea but this sounds like a frankenstein setup
[17:41:48] <tituspijean> adrien: you should should try https://federationtester.matrix.org/ with the YunoHost app
[17:42:15] <tituspijean> It will tell you what's wrong
[17:50:08] <adrien> > <@titus:pijean.ovh> adrien: you should should try https://federationtester.matrix.org/ with the YunoHost app

already tested
[17:50:25] <adrien> but if you want, i can try again and share my adventure with you ^^
[17:50:45] <rastanet> Hi all,

After testing Yunohost on a RPI 4, I would like to install it on a NUC I5.

Several questions :

This NUC has only a 250GB hard disk and I would like to add an external USB disk. Is it easy to set up the app on the internal disk and the media / files / documents on the external disk?

If I want to set up a backup, can I use a local RPI (Yunohost) for this? If yes, (I didn't check everything) is there any backup app in Yunohost that allows to do this?

Thanks for your feedbacks
[17:50:55] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> > <@adrien:synapse.abhd.fr> but if you want, i can try again and share my adventure with you ^^

well that would be helpful to smoothen the install yeah
[17:51:07] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> (though personally i don't know anything about setting up a synape server)
[17:52:37] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> rastanet:

>This NUC has only a 250GB hard disk and I would like to add an external USB disk. Is it easy to set up the app on the internal disk and the media / files / documents on the external disk?

hmmyeah basically you should have `/home/` on a separate partition, app's filestores are in /home/yunohost.app/<appname>
[17:53:54] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> >If I want to set up a backup, can I use a local RPI (Yunohost) for this? If yes, (I didn't check everything) is there any backup app in Yunohost that allows to do this?

Maybe `borg` can be used ... not 100% sure though because it's gonna be on the same network ... I don't quite see the benefit from this compared to backing-up on the same hard drive (or another hard drive connected directly to the machine)
[17:53:56] <tituspijean> > <@adrien:synapse.abhd.fr> but if you want, i can try again and share my adventure with you ^^

Please do, and report its results :)
[17:55:21] <tituspijean> (Though I have limited access to a testing server this week)
[17:57:50] <adrien> _matrix._tcp.<server_name.tld> <ttl> IN SRV 10 0 <port> <domain-or-subdomain-of-synapse.tld>
What is the good port for <port> and i need to forward it ?
[17:59:29] <adrien> Another information : all of my servers are behind a Nginx Proxy Manager
[18:00:21] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> :|
[18:00:47] <adrien> With my actual docker install, the port is 443
[18:01:23] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> I wish there would be a special support room for people behind a reverse proxy
[18:01:33] <adrien> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> :|

It's not a realy good practice, i know, but i've 2 servers listening on 80/443 ports
[18:02:46] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> https://i.imgflip.com/7ec4gi.jpg
[18:06:45] <tituspijean> adrien Ah... Synapse has its own TLS port that should be opened in your proxy manager. It's the one publicized by the .well-known file
[18:09:17] <adrien> 8448 ?
[18:12:22] <tituspijean> That's the default one yes, otherwise it's an increment of it
[18:12:22] <tituspijean> In case of you are a mad lad running multiple Synapse servers
[18:12:24] <adrien> only one is already hard ^^
[18:12:27] <adrien> https://aria.im/_matrix/media/v1/download/synapse.abhd.fr/TMEoSbnEVtLPlazGiHlxsUMM
[18:12:31] <adrien> There is my NPM config
[18:12:39] <adrien> And synapse on docker word great
[18:19:35] <tituspijean> All I can tell you is to make sure port 8448 is opened and secured with a certificate
[18:19:36] <adrien> > <@titus:pijean.ovh> All I can tell you is to make sure port 8448 is opened and secured with a certificate

with my actual docker install behind reverse proxy, i don't need to open port in my ISP box and it works (as you can see)
[19:00:41] <rastanet> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> >If I want to set up a backup, can I use a local RPI (Yunohost) for this? If yes, (I didn't check everything) is there any backup app in Yunohost that allows to do this?

Thank you for your feedback. It is true that I could install another disk (for backup) directly on the same machine
[20:13:08] <carrabelloy> I have problems for two days with my email program. Then I looked in the system lookbook and he showed me the error.Allows email clients to access accounts (IMAP and POP3)It no longer starts.
[20:13:27] <carrabelloy> All this after last update. Which I did earlier.Who can help me please?(I hope to get help sometime but mostly my requests here on the forum get no attention. So that’s my take on it!)So I would, be happy to hear a positive report on this or who after update had the same problem and what he did about it.
[20:13:45] <carrabelloy> https://paste.yunohost.org/verumurabi
[20:18:20] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> hmf can you try to `apt install dovecot-pop3d` and `systemctl restart dovecot`
[20:27:39] <carrabelloy> Alekshehimillui[via terminal
[20:40:44] <adrien> i think yes
[20:40:45] <carrabelloy> -bash: hmf: command not found
[20:40:45] <adrien> as sudo
[20:40:46] <carrabelloy> Aleks (he/him/il/lui)  mctl restart dovecot
[20:42:19] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> ...
[20:47:48] <carrabelloy> E: Unable to locate package restart
[20:47:49] <carrabelloy> E: Package 'dovecot' has no installation candidate
[20:54:00] <carrabelloy> no go
[20:54:01] <adrien> systemctl restart dovecot
[20:54:03] <carrabelloy> ee "systemctl status dovecot.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
[20:55:42] <carrabelloy> https://paste.yunohost.org/yipidopusu
[20:59:00] <carrabelloy> this is not the qwelle dovecot is not available, but is referred to by another package.
[20:59:01] <carrabelloy> This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
[20:59:01] <carrabelloy> is only available from another source
[20:59:42] <adrien> sudo apt update && sudo apt install dovecot-pop3d
[21:02:00] <carrabelloy> This error appeared after the last update, so the dovecot is missing or used differently.
[21:03:47] <carrabelloy> Ale (y) kshehimillui[(y) =* thanks
[21:51:18] <adrien> The last option : backup of your applications/users data/domains
[21:51:25] <adrien> And reinstall with restore
