And even separating the big apps (Nextcloud, Peertube) that take a lot of time to build (yeah, it's hard to know without checking each individual app).

If you're doing it now, you can make a backup for each (system + apps). That second solution help in the archive transfer, are the system files are quite tiny (while some apps are huge)
