[00:51:05] <loose_pajamas[m]> Hello everyone, I've recently discovered yunohost and I think it's fantastic! Thank you everyone that has put work into this project.
[00:56:01] <loose_pajamas[m]> I've run into a minor problem, I have set up a pixelfed and mastodon instance both running on a subdomain. when I try to search a pixelfed user FROM mastodon I get 422Mastodon::HostValidationError on https://MySubdomain.domain.com/.well-known/webfinger?resource=acct:someUser@MySubdomain.domain.com
[05:24:37] <fritjof[m]> > <@folaht[m]:libera.chat> Yeah, I'm busy with Hans' problem which is now my own really. I don't have much to do tomorrow, so I could try and help.

Much appreciated!!
as far as I can see for now, the problem persists
[05:25:02] <Folât> What was the problem again?
[05:25:25] <Folât> oh right, the dependency issues
[05:25:33] <fritjof[m]> That mastodon stopped working - In my services it looks like this:
[05:28:17] <Folât> Okay, I'm going to install mastadon on my own computer and see what happens
[05:28:20] <Folât> Okay, I'm going to install mastadon on my own computer and see what happens.
[05:28:37] <fritjof[m]> Many thanks!
My friend, who's also running a mastodon instance, has no problems, so I find it weird.
I did some changes to my PHP 8 in an ultimately failed attempt at increasing the permitted upload to Castopod (podcast hosting app in YNH), but other than that, everything has been the usual. except for an update I ran yesterday also.
[05:44:42] <fritjof[m]> My nextcloud upgrade also keeps failing. Could it be a related issue, or is there a simple fix for that one? here's the log https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/luloxigeci
[05:46:58] <Folât> I'm installing mastodon now and there are things I notice already.
[05:47:37] <fritjof[m]> that's..... good news?
At least it makes me feel a little more secure that the issue is not solely because of my inadequacy :)
[05:48:23] <Folât> Well I'm just as inadequate. 😛
[05:48:53] <Folât> I had an issue with XMPP, which turned out to be using the client incorrectly.
[05:50:44] <Folât> The nextcloud update is unrelated, that's for sure.
[05:51:03] <fritjof[m]> > <@folaht[m]:libera.chat> I had an issue with XMPP, which turned out to be using the client incorrectly.

cool. In that firewall I tried setting up before rushing back when everything broke, I didn't open the XMPP-port, since I thought it didn't do anything outside chat apps. So much for that.
[05:51:23] <fritjof[m]> > <@folaht[m]:libera.chat> The nextcloud update is unrelated, that's for sure.

Grand. That's a headache for another day then.
[06:09:58] <Folât> fritjof[m]: I'm beginning think you are not supposed to download the packages the way we've tried yesterday.
[06:16:43] <Folât> The installation is failing on my side by the way
[06:19:49] <fritjof[m]> Interesting.
I guess I'd loose everything by reinstall, if I where to try that?
[06:20:49] <fritjof[m]> Maybe there's a build-essential or something I could install?
[06:27:37] <Folât> Well if it doesn't even install for me and I'm doing a fresh install, I'm not sure how well yours could ever go.
[06:31:29] <Folât> fritjof[m]: I would try to backup mastodon as much as you can and do a fresh install.
[06:32:01] <Folât> But like I said, I'm having trouble doing a fresh install, so I'm going to file an issue on that..
[06:36:55] <fritjof[m]> > <@folaht[m]:libera.chat> But like I said, I'm having trouble doing a fresh install, so I'm going to file an issue on that..

OK. I'll wait and ser how that issue resolves :)
[06:37:05] <fritjof[m]> Thanks for the help
[08:29:16] <fritjof[m]> My mautrix bridge stopped working with telegram after I (by a misspress) initiated encryption in a chat. In an attempt to fix it, I then installed e2be (+ dependecies) - but then the whole bridge broke. How should I configure olm ? - Any pointers on where to find the information I need to fill in are much appreciated :)

[10:00:09] <Folât> Que dit `lsb_release -a` ?
[10:01:07] <hercut[m]> No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Debian
Description: Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye)
Release: 11
Codename: bullseye
[10:04:38] <Folât> hercut[m]: Que dit `sudo yunohost -v` ?
[10:05:26] <hercut[m]> yunohost:
repo: stable
version: 11.0.9.14
yunohost-admin:
repo: stable
version: 11.0.10
moulinette:
repo: stable
version: 11.0.9
ssowat:
repo: stable
version: 11.0.9

[10:40:46] <hercut> toujours pareille
[10:49:05] <hercut> yunohosttools: command not found
[10:49:22] <Folât> Que dit `sudo yunohost tools migrations state` ?

[11:38:08] <Alekswag[m]> cf https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/oritaroxol , let's check the log of the actual previous migration :
« NB: the previous migration log id seems to be 20220906-075848-tools_migrations_migrate_forward. You can share it with the support team with : sudo yunohost log share 20220906-075848-tools_migrations_migrate_forward »

[14:14:33] <fritjof[m]> How do I make the Castopod upload limit bigger?
Currently 2MB which is like 2 mins of Mp3
[14:14:59] <fritjof[m]> vanilla castopod install on YNH
[14:16:21] <Alekswag[m]> Fritjof: sounds like there's already `client_max_body_size 512M;` in the nginx conf, so I'm thinking the issue lies in the php conf
[14:16:58] <Alekswag[m]> hm there's also a 512MB limit here : https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/castopod_ynh/blob/master/conf/php-fpm.conf#L404
[14:17:06] <Alekswag[m]> (could you be that you're behind a reverse proxy maybe ?)
[14:19:06] <fritjof[m]> Maybe - what is that and how do I fix it?
[14:19:54] <fritjof[m]> reverse proxy, I mean. Can I make that not be?
[14:39:53] <Alekswag[m]> if you were behind a reverse proxy you would probably be aware of it, so probably not that :P
[14:40:00] <Alekswag[m]> (I'm just paranoid about reverse proxies)

[15:10:58] <baslow> Just tried to install Funkwhale (on a Linode server that already has WriteFreely, Pixelfed and Nitter installed, in case that makes a difference) but installation failed. Log is here: https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/ejaqavobey
[15:16:35] <baslow> The first sign I've found (so far) of a problem is on this line in the log, near the end: "2022-09-12 15:06:38,917: DEBUG - AttributeError: module 'lib' has no attribute 'SSL_CTX_set_ecdh_auto'"
[15:16:50] <interlaced> hi all - which office do you install with nextcloud?
[15:22:28] <Folât> Office?
[15:22:49] <Folât> Oh, you mean e-mail client?
[15:24:01] <baslow> I think they mean office suite, like onlyoffice or collabora - word processing, spreadsheets, presentation...
[15:25:05] <Folât> baslow: Does nextcloud support that these days?
[15:26:12] <interlaced> yup, I mean office suite. i.e. either collabora or onlyoffice?
[15:26:33] <baslow> https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/onlyoffice   https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/richdocuments
[15:27:14] <Folât> Try either of them.
[15:27:43] <interlaced> Thanks. I'm aware they both exist. Curious about which you use tho?
[15:28:02] <Folât> I don't. Never needed them before.
[15:28:12] <Folât> I just use it for my cloud.
[15:28:33] <interlaced> I see. Thanks anyway - baslow?
[15:29:31] <Folât> You could ask on the forum.
[15:29:57] <baslow> I installed Collabora -- because I have LibreOffice installed on my laptop -- but I can't say I've used it much, so not much up-to-date experience...
[15:30:28] <interlaced> baslow: ah ok. Thanks for the insight
[15:30:48] <interlaced> I just tried to install onlyoffice. While it worked when testing bullseye it now fails with the stable version :X
[15:32:24] <baslow> Sorry, I'm afraid I can't be of much help...
[15:33:29] <interlaced> Ok. Curious if anyone in here has onlyoffice running?

How similar?
[17:26:30] <evon> Chrome is giving me the error "site can't be reached" when I try to navigate to the ip of yunohost. Yunohost is running on KVM. I can ping the ip perfectly. the VM is connected to the net via network bridge.
[17:26:48] <evon> I have yunohost in a vm. I'm using KVM. I can ping it fine but I keep getting a bad gateway error whenever I try to navigate to yunohost using the ip address from the host. Any idea how to troubleshoot this?
[17:27:18] <Folât> Can you ssh into it?
[17:27:45] <Folât> And do a diagnose on it? Check services?
[17:27:50] <evon> Folât: no
[17:27:52] <evon> So my VM has nginx running on port 80. I am using KVM. I can navigate to the guest site when I use NAT networking but I get an "unable to reach site" error when I try to navigate to the site from the host when I use bridge device. Anyone know why I would get this error? I'd rather use the bridge to provide internet to my VMs
[17:28:04] <evon> Folât: Nginx is running
[17:28:41] <Folât> You can reach the KVM termninal without ssh correct?
[17:28:44] <evon> When I change it to NAT networking, yunohost works fine whithout making any changes to yunohost at all
[17:29:09] <evon> Folât: Correct. I can ping the yunohost ip but that's it
[17:29:58] <Folât> You're using a virtual machine. Shouldn't you be able to log into it?
[17:30:54] <evon> Folât: I can login to it the terminal and run commands but I can't access yunohost from a web browser
[17:31:11] <evon> Works with NAT but not with a Bridge
[17:31:46] <Folât> If you can log into the terminal, then you can run yunohost commands.
[17:32:15] <evon> Folât: But I can't access the web interface.
[17:32:15] <Folât> `sudo yunohost diagnosis`
[17:33:22] <Folât> `sudo yunohost service status`
[17:33:29] <evon> running now
[17:34:07] <Folât> And check if there are any errors in the diagnosis and what services are running or not.
[17:40:12] <evon> Folât: How do i turn on ssh? I can't pastebin the output from my vm unfortunately.
[17:40:56] <Folât> Can you cut and paste the text anywhere outside the vm?
[17:41:02] <evon> Folât: no
[17:41:29] <evon> is says sshd is running so I don't know what I can't ssh into it
[17:41:32] <Folât> Do a screen capture of what you think is relevant then.
[17:41:34] <evon> keeps saying no route to host

[17:49:47] <Folât> What's kodi?
[17:51:54] <evon> Kodi is a media server. not important.
[17:51:58] <evon> I ran the command now what?
[17:52:16] <Folât> Screenshot the result.
[17:52:27] <Folât> Did you change anything to nginx manually?
[17:54:40] <Folât> If you haven't conscriously, then just run `sudo yunohost tools regen-conf nginx --force`
[17:55:31] <Folât> and then either refresh the page, restart nginx or reboot the machine.
[17:55:58] <evon> Folât: No I have not changed anything in nginx at all. It just starts working when I change the networking to NAT
[17:56:06] <Folât> and then either refresh the page, or restart nginx/reboot the machine if it's not running.
[17:56:21] <Folât> Okay, then run that command.
[17:58:10] <evon> Same result :-(
[17:58:31] <Folât> I need to go, I'll be back in 30 minutes.
[17:59:32] <Folât> Is the configuration file still manually modified?
[18:00:32] <Folât> What about `sudo yunohost diagnosis` ?
[18:00:52] <Folât> And what does `sudo yunohost service status` yield for nginx?
[18:03:10] <evon> Folât: Here's a more detailed screenshot from the first command you told me to run https://www.imgpaste.net/image/K2qaCs
[18:09:07] <parleur> > > <parleur> Hum, looks like I have the same kind of problem with Mastodon than the one I have with Peertube.

Actually I might be and not be aware. (Sorry to admit) How do I check for it?

[19:08:18] <dhusch> Hey, I wanted to use a Docker App. To use it, I have to expose the Port 1935 (RTMP) to the Public. How do I do that? (more Info at: https://forum.yunohost.org/t/open-port-for-docker-app/21207)
[19:08:51] <dhusch> Only doing that in the Firewall doesn't seem to work
[19:09:40] <Folât> ynhuser: `sudo yunohost tools migrations run`
[19:10:22] <Folât> dhusch: What does diagnosis say?
[19:10:49] <dhusch> Folât: It doesn't show that port at all...
[19:11:08] <Folât> Ah, what type of domain do you have?
[19:12:02] <Folât> A yunohost one or a custom one?
[19:12:12] <dhusch> I'm using a normal Domain (restreamer.dhusch.de) for that. The WebApp is useable using redirecter. But I have to expose the RTMP Port
[19:13:35] <Folât> Okay, who is the registrar of restreamer.dhusch.de?
[19:13:42] <Folât> Okay, who is the registrar of `restreamer.dhusch.de`?
[19:14:08] <dhusch> Im at one.com for the Domain. But that already worked using PeerTube in the past.So it seems like I just didn't open the port correctly in Yuno
[19:15:02] <Folât> dhusch: What does the DNS configuration of dhusch.de say at one.com?
[19:15:22] <dhusch> it's a cname to a YunoHost Domain
[19:18:54] <Folât> How long ago did you add that?
[19:19:29] <dhusch> Maybe like a year ago... Both the Server and Domain are very old
[19:21:00] <Folât> Oh wait..I'm being a bit silly..ermm...
[19:21:10] <Folât> Can I see the port forwardings?
[19:21:18] <dhusch> Of Yuno?
[19:21:52] <dhusch> It's a VPS where all Ports are open all the time …
[19:22:13] <Folât> In your router of your yuno.
[19:23:01] <dhusch> Yuno runs on a VPS, I can't close any Ports, they are always forwarded to my server
[19:23:27] <dhusch> Or did you mean the Firewall of YunoHost?
[19:23:36] <Folât> I'm not familiar with VPS :/, so I guess I'll have to give up. You'll just have to wait for someone with more experience than a random user.
[19:24:06] <Folât> Anything that closes and opens ports.
[19:24:16] <dhusch> VPS is basically a Server brought online. You just rent it...
[19:24:55] <fritjof[m]> I run in a VPS also - I tried configuring a firewall on the VPS the other day and a lot of stuff broke. I think it might be enough with the YNH firewall - maybe some discrepancies between the ports on the two?
[19:25:33] <Folât> Your port is closed, which can mean only three things, a firewall blocks it, the port is not forwarded, the application using that port is not running.
[19:25:54] <dhusch> The App is running and the only firewall is yuno...
[19:27:04] <dhusch> There is an Image of my Firewall inside YunoHost: https://paste.dhusch.de/?0da15127cd057d82#5PSBxKwH5vW8wpkj26jQNQq9onZrLB1QxmqjiU9LA5p2

[19:31:21] <Folât> Is restreamer running?
[19:31:30] <dhusch> Folât: yes
[19:32:19] <Folât> What do the logs of the restreamer service say?
[19:33:47] <dhusch> I don't know how to get them, but it is working without a Problem and the server itself can communicate with it on that Port, but seems to block people from the outside
[20:11:59] <ynhuser> hello anyone can tell me what is the xmpp conection URL to enter in converse.js client
[20:12:36] <tituspijean> dhusch: I don't want to be an ass, but have you tried exploring the command line? `yunohost firewall --help`
[20:12:49] <dhusch> yes
[20:13:49] <dhusch> I currently stopped the firewall and fail2ban and it still doesn't work...
[20:14:24] <tituspijean> (my bad, I misread the port number)
Are you sure that it's running correctly within the container?
[20:15:07] <tituspijean> ynhuser hi, I don't remember needing to setup a URL :/

[20:24:25] <dhusch> No, but another Port for the WebApp, which is only working internally... trying it now …

[20:27:01] <ynhuser> sorry I can't upload a screenshot on this chat
[20:29:10] <ynhuser> tituspijean Go to Converse.js home page as it's a xmpp client in the yunohost doc list, download the desktop version and open it, you will 3 fields to fill : login, password, connection URL (wss://)
[20:29:42] <tituspijean> oh... I only use the webapp
[20:30:07] <dhusch> tituspijean: Now its working, thank you very much!
[20:30:35] <tituspijean> 👍️
[20:30:50] <ynhuser> the webapp do not ask for a URL but can't reach the yunohost server of my company, so I trized the desktop version (that is an electron veversion of the webapp)

[21:02:18] <ynhuser> tituspijean Yes I confirm I do not have the hand on yunihost server, I just know the domain and my creds, I'm trying Converse.js  as a client...
[21:02:19] <ynhuser> Note that everything is fine with this infos on Dino client ...
[21:02:20] <ynhuser> Also, according to https://github.com/YunoHost/yunohost/blob/dev/conf/metronome/metronome.cfg.lua#L69
[21:02:21] <ynhuser> there should be a websocket config no ?
[21:10:20] <jeancroix> hello, my migration of yunohost to 11 Bullseye failed with unmet dependencies. Here is the log:  https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/emikuxiwel
[21:10:50] <jeancroix> please help
[22:32:14] <Maranda> ynhuser: that only loads the related module, but Metronome is behind nginx as reverse proxy
[22:32:30] <Maranda> so if nginx doesn't forward WS correctly, that won't work
[23:00:43] <evon__> Folât: I'm back
[23:02:31] <Folât> evon: What was the issue again?
[23:03:13] <Folât> Oh right, the KVM and nginx thing, correct?
[23:03:24] <Folât> nginx wasn't working.
[23:04:00] <Folât> `sudo yunohost domain main-domain`
[23:04:11] <Folât> Do you have the correct main domain?
[23:05:05] <Folât> `sudo yunohost dyndns update`
[23:06:29] <evon__> Folât: Check this out. https://www.imgpaste.net/image/K2qaCs
[23:07:14] <Folât> Yes, your dns configuration is incorrect and if I remember correctly, you likely have a yunohost domain.
[23:07:46] <evon__> Folât: yes I have a yunohost domain but I am behind a reverse proxy so i just want to try to access yunohost from the ip for now from the host machine
[23:08:19] <Folât> What does `sudo yunohost domain main-domain` result into?
[23:08:30] <evon__> 3von.nohost.me
[23:08:31] <Folât> Okay
[23:08:46] <Folât> What about `sudo yunohost dyndns update` ?
[23:09:56] <evon__> Folât: no output for that command
[23:13:33] <evon__> Folât: could it be a router issue. That pic I sent you shows that there is a DNS issue
[23:14:43] <Folât> Hmmm...
[23:15:50] <evon__> Folât: My router has a vlan/bridge setting. But when I turne it on I lose internet connectivity
[23:16:07] <Folât> Yes, I would check your router.
[23:16:41] <Folât> I'm not familiar with vlan/bridge
[23:17:02] <evon__> Folât: Me either. I will do some reading up on that setting later
[23:17:32] <Folât> I tried pinging your domain and while I'm not able to ping it, it goes give me an IP address.
[23:20:35] <evon__> Folât: Yeah it won't work because I haven't updated the IP address in the reverse proxy. One sec
[23:22:00] <evon__> Folât: ok try now
