[09:33:31] <mfrisch[m]> I am trying to find out were yunohost puts the dendrite.yaml file so I can add coturn support to it?
[09:35:52] <tituspijean> mfrisch[m]: it's in /opt/yunohost/dendrite
[09:40:33] <tituspijean> You won't find a YunoHost command because that's not integrated yet. But you are most welcome to investigate and report your findings for us/me to integrate it in the app
[09:42:23] <tituspijean> You're WELCOME :)
[09:42:51] <Alekswag[m]> there's a discussion about the issue here : https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/listmonk_ynh/issues/2
[09:43:46] <Alekswag[m]> apparently some people added the "Listmonk admin" permission to the Visitors group to get it working ?
[09:44:04] <tituspijean> (Damn... ynhuser's message was not bridged over to Matrix)
[09:44:41] <ynhuser> thanks for help +++ will check
[09:45:06] <tituspijean> Nope it does not. We have a separate Coturn app though.
[09:45:19] <tituspijean> /opt/yunohost/dendrite/dendrite.yaml
[09:45:48] <Vlad45> Hello, I installed gitea but can't figure out why my credentials don't let me push. Is the gitea username and password the same as yunohost's? My apologies I cannot find this anywhere and have tried admin with admin password as well.
[09:45:51] <Alekswag[m]> i guess you probably want to read https://forum.yunohost.org/t/cant-use-ssh-with-gitea-after-upgrade-to-yunohost-11/21237
[09:45:54] <Alekswag[m]> (dunno if that's helpful)
[09:45:59] <Vlad45> hmm I can't even push with password auth, haven't tried ssh yet but I will certainly read that thank you
[09:46:13] <Vlad45> Ok I fixed it after reseting the password to my yunohost one. I thought they were the same but apparently the default password is something else. Thanks for your help Aleks!
[09:47:05] <archdragon_uno[m]> Anyone have issues with the facebook bridge bot for matrix?
[09:47:17] <archdragon_uno[m]> Was working and now the bridge bot room just does not respond with any messages for some reason
[09:47:23] <Dawid Rejowski> Hey. I wanted to expose YunoHost on my Raspberry Pi with WireGuard VPN to VPS server on Linode 😅. Did anyone managed to do that? I am lost in tutorials that dosen't make me understand anything
[09:47:26] <tituspijean> Dawid Rejowski: Can you explain your setup?
1. Linode VPS with YunoHost (and its WireGuard app) or not?
2. Do you want to access your RPi with its own domain name, or only its IP address or a .local domain is fine?
[09:47:38] <tituspijean> (there's no full-on tutorial for WireGuard yet, but it's good to understand everyone's use case for it)
[09:49:17] <archdragon_uno[m]> Guys, what is the postgres root password
[09:49:17] <archdragon_uno[m]> Where can I find that .-.
[09:49:20] <tituspijean> Apps should be using a passwordless socket. Why do you need that password?
[09:49:33] <archdragon_uno[m]> Was setting up the mautrix instagram bridge and wanted to set up a new db. I guess I could create a new user and then create the db under that user
[09:49:35] <archdragon_uno[m]> Just figuring out how to do that
[09:49:48] <tituspijean> If you know what you are doing, the password should be in `/etc/yunohost/psql`
[09:49:55] <tituspijean> there's no YunoHost app for Mautrix Instagram, right?
[09:50:05] <archdragon_uno[m]> No, there isn't
[09:50:18] <archdragon_uno[m]> Shouldn't be too hard to package it tbh
[09:50:24] <archdragon_uno[m]> Was just manually installing it. Had to manually install mautrix-discord as well since the yunohost discord bridge was non functional for me
[09:50:27] <tituspijean> I see https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/mautrix_instagram2_ynh and https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/mautrix_instagram_ynh
You are most welcome to help navanchauhan[m] :)
[09:50:31] <tituspijean> > <@archdragon_uno[m]:libera.chat> Was just manually installing it. Had to manually install mautrix-discord as well since the yunohost discord bridge was non functional for me

Feel free to report issues with logs and so on
[09:50:33] <archdragon_uno[m]> Shall do. The logs did not say anything at all. Was a weird case. I anyway went with the manual installation of mautrix-discord instead of the yunohost bridge.
[09:52:29] <Alekswag[m]> hm yeah there's still `Main process exited, code=killed, status=31/SYS`
[09:52:37] <Alekswag[m]> I think I saw a few people with the same issue on the forum ...
[09:52:43] <Alekswag[m]> ah
[09:52:44] <Alekswag[m]> https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/681075
[09:52:45] <Alekswag[m]> sounds like that's related to SystemCallFilter= ?
[09:52:48] <undragon> I'm outta my depth with this. Will try to look into it.
[09:52:49] <Alekswag[m]> hm but there's no such instruction in https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/coturn_ynh/blob/master/conf/systemd.service ... or could it be another package seting up the systemd conf for coturn ?
[09:52:50] <undragon> Also, the .well-known paths for matrix are an issue
[09:54:01] <lucidogen> BTW is it better to ask a question in french or english on this chan ?
[09:54:02] <tituspijean> lucidogen: Both languages are fine, but if you are fluent enough in English it is preferred for the sake of all readers :)
[09:57:38] <lucidogen> Fine, then. Sadly I'm almost about to reconfiguring YNH postfix in relay mode due to spam issues for my outgoing emails. Which provider would be best to ensure good email reputation (I'd prefer avoiding gmail). Would it work with a free protonmail account ?
[09:59:12] <Alekswag[m]> I don't think protonmail supports being a relay, could be wrong but that would be very much surprising
[09:59:15] <Alekswag[m]> OVH is a pretty good option imho
[10:01:06] <Alekswag[m]> (though thinking about it, i'm not even 100% sure they do it o.O ?)
[10:01:06] <archdragon_uno> Are you guys talking about VPS providers?
[10:01:07] <archdragon_uno> Check out oneprovider and hetzner cloud for super cheap options
[10:02:07] <tituspijean> archdragon_uno: They are talking about SMTP relays providers. (which could be solved with a VPS indeed, though it's a bit overkill solution)
[10:02:12] <archdragon_uno[m]> Ahh, okay :P
[10:05:13] <Aleks> 👀
[10:05:34] <lucidogen> I'm already using a VPS/OVH. IPv4 is clean, IPv6 is blacklisted on spamhausZEN, de-listing is impossible.I'm not sure it explains why my outgoing emails are considered as spam... Can hetzner provide VPS with good IPv4/v6 reputation as far as email is concerned ? Or is it becoming impossible today to host a decent mailserver ?
[10:07:23] <archdragon_uno[m]> Sorry, out of my depth with the IP range that hetzner provides and if it would be blacklisted or not
[10:07:33] <Aleks> It's possible but it's painful because you can never be sure that your IP won't get randomly blacklisted etc...
[10:08:07] <archdragon_uno[m]> Setting up matrix with yunohost with the proper bridges might be the most painful task I've encountered
[10:08:34] <Aleks> The whole "antispam ecosystem" is complete batshit with random people defining arbitrary standards and even AI stuff that randomly blacklist legit people
[10:08:50] <Aleks> ultimately you just get blacklisted because "zomg you're not a tech giant !?!?!?!"
[10:09:21] <archdragon_uno[m]> > <@lucidogen:libera.chat> I'm already using a VPS/OVH. Why don't you get a free EC2 instance and see if that would work for you?
[10:09:41] <Aleks> on the long term, the alternative to save decentralized/self-hostable email is that people should just stop using stupid GAFAM that blacklist legit mails
[10:09:59] <Aleks> i mean this is pretty much digital dictatorship
[10:24:25] <lucidogen> Thanks for your answers, guys. Completely agree regarding the GAFAM strategy to kill decentralised email...
[10:42:51] <thomaskuntzz[m]> Hi everyone! Does someone know how I can access my Peertube database to run SQL commands on it when I installed Peertube with Yunohost?
I believe the answer can be deduced from lines 99-113 of this file but I can’t quite figure it out: https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/peertube_ynh/blob/master/scripts/install
[11:16:36] <tag[m]> Credentials are stored inside `/etc/yunohost/apps/peertube/settings.yml`
[11:17:36] <tag[m]> or you could run `sudo -u postgres psql`
[12:48:18] <thomaskuntzz[m]> Thanks a lot, it worked!

`sudo -u postgres psql` fails when run as `admin` (message: `Sorry, user admin is not allowed to execute '/usr/bin/psql' as postgres on xxx.ynh.fr.`), but if I login (`sudo su`) as root first then it works :) (it says `could not change directory to "/home/admin": Permission denied` but still gives me access to the psql prompt)
[13:00:19] <parleur> Tituspijean : I found what the problem was with peertube and mastodon installations.
I already created two users with these usernames peertube ans mastodon.
I deleted them and everything installed juste fine.
[13:18:26] <wilow04[m]> il y a des mises a jour tres regulierement je remarque, depuis la sortie de la derniere stable :) j etai pas repassé par le panel admin quelques jours, et bim= 400Mo d updates hier. cool=
[13:19:56] <wilow04[m]> hi all.
[13:28:58] <tituspijean> parleur: great :)
[13:41:56] <centralscrutinizer[m]> hi everyone, can i move synapse to a different domain without changing the domain name?
[14:09:16] <wilow04[m]> centralscrutinizer: i don t understand very well. i have synapse matrix on a domain, and i have "element" on another.ohh, you want to move without reinstall? i don t think it is easy, perhaps impossible
[14:11:55] <centralscrutinizer[m]> what I mean is that I have synapse installed on my.domain.com and my user is @user:my.domain.com
I want to move synapse to syn.domain.com but keep @user:my.domain.com
[14:12:10] <wilow04[m]> not reinstall yunohost, just reinstall domain and app
[14:12:45] <centralscrutinizer[m]> I know it is possible to do so at installation time, I was wondering if it was possible once the app is already installed
[14:14:36] <centralscrutinizer[m]> it does but it is not working atm
[14:15:50] <wilow04[m]> reinstall app. the users must re subscribe their account.
[14:17:16] <wilow04[m]> changing users adress ? must new inscription, then nothing to improve
[14:18:29] <deljoens> having trouble SFTPing into my_Webapp
[14:18:34] <deljoens> access denied
[14:18:58] <deljoens> user and password are correct, changed the prot back to 22 just in case
[14:19:46] <wilow04[m]> opened ports ? forwarded ports ?
[14:19:59] <deljoens> yep... doing locally as well smae result
[14:20:10] <deljoens> sorry poor spelling here
[14:20:13] <deljoens> same result
[14:24:09] <wilow04[m]> i am not an expert, but there is an app with "net to ftp integrated" but i understand,
[14:25:52] <deljoens> fixed... Just logged in a s root rather thanthe credentials mentioned in the app... all good ... thanks
[14:26:10] <deljoens> sorry for my bad spelling by the way, i was ruching
[14:26:12] <wilow04[m]> i dont know how to solve this because i am not dev
[14:26:18] <deljoens> rushing
[14:26:40] <wilow04[m]> ok
[17:19:47] <nicochoco> Hi there ! I backed up my nextcloud app using BACKUP_CORE_ONLY=1 and cannot figure out how to restore the backup. If I delete the app, the data gies away too. Any suggestion?
[17:20:45] <nicochoco> goes*. Also, feel free to reply even if I'm disconnected, I use an IRC bouncer.
[17:24:49] <tituspijean> nicochoco are you sure the data directory is removed too?
[17:26:22] <tituspijean> Per https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/nextcloud_ynh/blob/0d102edec98fbb6c0518d850b01dfcb4b7079289/scripts/remove#L56 the datadir is removed if you use the `--purge` flag with the remove command.
[17:26:53] <tituspijean> Make sure you are using a recent Nextcloud app version though.
[17:30:15] <nicochoco> I decided to temporarily move the data directory to /ncdata and delete the app.
[17:30:34] <nicochoco> I then ran a restore but got an error...
[17:30:36] <nicochoco> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/nopodubeva
[17:32:18] <nicochoco> tituspijean: I didn't want to take the risk. I mean, I do have backups but you know...
[17:43:00] <nicochoco> I was able to restore it through the web interface. Also, I copied the data dir back to its normal place before restoring. Thanks for your help :)
[18:23:33] <Dawid Rejowski> > <@ghoster:rejowski.xyz> I had YunoHost installed on my Raspberry Pi and want to make it accessable from the internet. Decided to but VPS to host VPN there and do port forwarding, but can't find any easy solution and am totally lost

On Linode VPS can be whatever, just to forward traffic to RPi. I want to access RPi from the internet with domain name
[18:33:57] <Dawid Rejowski> I had YunoHost installed on my Raspberry Pi and want to make it accessable from the internet. Decided to buy VPS to host VPN there and do port forwarding, but can't find any easy solution and am totally lost
[18:38:22] <Dawid Rejowski> https://aria.im/_matrix/media/v1/download/rejowski.xyz/tAIqgMKjXGTsFNNiPrXpfPOi
[18:39:29] <mecallie> Usually you have a modem in front of your router. You need to put that in bridge mode or also forward the correct ports. Some ISP's do not even allow this...
[18:41:37] <Dawid Rejowski> My ISP have option for public ip etc, but it's more expensive than VPS, does not have reverse DNS and is not compatible with IPv6
[18:41:46] <tituspijean> Dawid Rejowski: OK got it. I can emulate a similar setup at home. Basically you need a reverse proxy on the VPS server.
YunoHost could do it, but right now you would need one Redirect app per service on the RPi. I'll try to see of we can make things simpler.
[18:43:10] <Dawid Rejowski> Yeah, but I don't think this would work with email and coturn
[18:44:46] <mecallie> Ah, now I see. That's a complicated setup :D
[18:55:22] <Dawid Rejowski> Thought this should be simple 😵‍💫
[18:56:19] <Dawid Rejowski> Just redirecting all traffic back and forth one machine to second
[18:58:53] <Dawid Rejowski> Can't forward ports on my ISP
[19:02:53] <Dawid Rejowski> No now as I have time contract. They offer public ip, but it's more expensive than VPS, no reverse dns and nuke IPv6 support
[19:05:18] <Dawid Rejowski> I tried many things, but all have some cons. I don't wanna deal with my ISP that much.

Just looking for some solution to direct RPi traffic to a VPS with public IP.
But can't find any simple solution, not even any script on GitHub...
[19:06:23] <Dawid Rejowski> On YunoHost forums someone post instructions for WireGuard (https://forum.yunohost.org/t/homemade-wireguard-vpn-on-a-vps-server/15662).

But not working reliably, gives me errors
[19:08:33] <tituspijean> I am *very* interested in your experience with WireGuard. Coz' I have no issue :/
[19:10:25] <tituspijean> > no go for over a week. So my fault. love it

you lost me here xD
[19:13:25] <tituspijean> I depends on how/where you changed IP. Are you referring to the peer's IP address in the VPN?
[19:16:34] <tituspijean> Have you clicked on `Apply Config` on the server and re-downloaded the config file for the peers?
[19:20:38] <Dawid Rejowski> > <@titus:pijean.ovh> I am *very* interested in your experience with WireGuard. Coz' I have no issue :/

When doing diagnosis: https://paste.yunohost.org/enedoduduj.sql
[19:24:55] <Dawid Rejowski> Can ping diagnosis.yunohost.org with ipv4 and ipv6 from RPi. Also "wget -qO - api.myip.com | cat" shows correct IP address (the remote, VPS one)
[19:36:54] <Dawid Rejowski> Also trying to select any app to install (list of apps is fine):
[19:37:14] <Dawid Rejowski> https://aria.im/_matrix/media/v1/download/rejowski.xyz/HghFmyotGeYNvlAIWocbDiDA
[19:42:38] <tituspijean> Dawid Rejowski: it looks like your server cannot connect to either yunohost.org or github.com
[19:47:58] <Dawid Rejowski> Yes. Pinging works, but "wget https://github.com" don't. Is connecting and connecting
[19:48:10] <Dawid Rejowski> Yes. Pinging works, but "wget https://github.com" don't\
[19:48:11] <Dawid Rejowski> Yes. Pinging works, but "wget https://github.com" don't
[19:49:45] <Dawid Rejowski> On the RPi side, on VPS's is ok
