> 2022-09-25 09:22 (GMT+02:00)
> Can I set two domains in the same IP? And have email working for both?
Yes, it is really possible!
[08:19:14] <isAAAc> i have some trouble with the ssl cert when i try to do it
[08:30:45] <thatoo[m]> Hello,
I have a yunohost running "normaly" with a synapse server on it.
Is it possible to make this yunohost and this synapse server accessible through TOR? Can I add an Element app running with an .onion and that will work using TOR network?
It is for iranian friends. They still have access to it for now because the domain name and the IP of this server is not blacklisted but in case the censurship increase, I'd like to offer them to be able to keep accessing it through TOR.
What do you think? Is it doable? easy?
[08:33:03] <centralscrutinizer> https://yunohost.org/en/torhiddenservice
[09:57:25] <sgas671> Hi I have problems installing Standard notes and Tandoor. I keep getting these errors https://strandserver.xyz/privatebin/?33490fa057073fc7#4Le3NaVKSFbmAuFCubAV5R1sZtT4XYWnQ9XGccFtRTsu Anyoen know how to fix?
[10:09:49] <tituspijean> @sgas671:matrix.org cf. https://forum.yunohost.org/t/more-migration-to-v11-problems-apt-cache-but-maybe-more/20836/2?u=tituspijean
[10:10:20] <tituspijean> You have the command there to update the GPG key of the Sury repository
[10:15:51] <sgas671> > <@titus:pijean.ovh> You have the command there to update the GPG key of the Sury repository

I have ran the commands listed there including the apt update/upgrade but still get an error
[10:15:53] <sgas671> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/amebaqupil
[10:48:33] <Mr Donz> Hi, after mariadb error on the last migration, have someone tried to reinstall yonohost? now my nexcloud is useless. is there a command to unistall and then reinstall yunohost whole?
[12:46:47] <mfrisch[m]> I get Failed to make_join via any server trying to join yunohost support room. Is it just me?
[14:34:43] <bormay[m]> Bonjour and hello I am having problems upgrading wireguard, nextcloud and a couple of other applications because of dependency problems
[14:35:03] <bormay[m]> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/cusefalaji
[14:35:12] <bormay[m]> can anyone help?
[14:37:52] <Folât> I'm not good at it, but I'll give it a shot.
[14:38:18] <bormay[m]> thank you
[14:40:05] <bormay[m]> it has something to do with php8.0-fpm.service
[14:40:52] <Folât> You're further ahead then I am then. I keep looking at why those dependencies won't install.
[14:41:15] <Folât> What does `systemctl status php8.0-fpm.service` say?
[14:41:53] <Folât> Oh wait, it's in the paste already
[14:41:58] <bormay[m]> php8.0-fpm.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=78/CONFIG
[14:42:09] <bormay[m]> php8.0-fpm.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
[14:42:17] <bormay[m]> Failed to start The PHP 8.0 FastCGI Process Manager.
[14:43:16] <Folât> Alright, what does `ls -lha /var/www` say?
[14:44:17] <bormay[m]> it is showing a bunch of webapps which I have installed with their linux file permissions
[14:44:48] <bormay[m]> drwxr-x--- 13 nextcloud www-data 4.0K Jul 21 20:52 nextcloud

[14:44:50] <Folât> Which ones? Give me the results.
[14:44:53] <bormay[m]> this is one line as an example
[14:45:06] <Folât> Have you ever installed Matomo?
[14:45:22] <Folât> Do you use Matamo?
[14:45:23] <bormay[m]> yes but I uninstalled it
[14:45:33] <Folât> Okay, hmm...
[14:45:43] <bormay[m]> in the past
[14:45:57] <bormay[m]> but It was giving me an issue so I uninstalled it
[14:46:20] <Folât> Well apparently the uninstallment did not go successfully.
[14:47:53] <bormay[m]> hold on. Maybe it is only nextcloud which won't update
[14:47:58] <bormay[m]> let me see
[14:49:01] <Folât> bormay[m]: I think it's any app that uses php that won't update, because the php-fpm service is not starting, because it's still looking for Matomo.
[14:49:41] <bormay[m]> I just updated wireguard and the other two app succesfully
[14:50:06] <Folât> bormay[m]: Can you restart php-fpm service?
[14:50:16] <bormay[m]> they weren't getting updated because the update process just stalls when it got to nextcloud
[14:50:21] <bormay[m]> sure
[14:50:35] <Folât> `sudo systemctl restart php8.0-fpm.service && sudo systemctl status php8.0-fpm.service`
[14:51:10] <bormay[m]> Failed to restart php8.0-fpm.service: Unit php8.0-fpm.service not found.
[14:51:29] <Folât> ???
[14:52:05] <bormay[m]> systemctl status php8.0-fpm.service
● php8.0-fpm.service
Loaded: not-found (Reason: Unit php8.0-fpm.service not found.)
[14:52:45] <Folât> ...I guess nextcloud installs it then and after the install the service fails?
[14:53:31] <bormay[m]> I have no idea to be honest. I suspect there are multiple php versions on the server
[14:53:45] <bormay[m]> nextcloud works fine in the browser
[14:54:11] <Folât> How about `cat /etc/php/8.0/fpm/php-fpm.conf | grep matomo` ?
[14:54:40] <bormay[m]> cat: /etc/php/8.0/fpm/php-fpm.conf: No such file or directory
[14:54:57] <bormay[m]> the php 8.0 package doesn't exist on the server
[14:55:03] <bormay[m]> by the looks of it
[14:55:28] <Folât> Where on earth does it get the idea for searching `var/www/matomo` then?
[14:56:00] <bormay[m]> where did you see var/www/matomo ?
[14:56:04] <Folât> Try `sudo mkdir /var/www/matomo` and try upgrading nextcloud again.
[14:56:18] <Folât> ```
2022-09-26 16:31:38,177: DEBUG - Sep 26 16:31:37 maindomain.tld php-fpm8.0[32370]: [26-Sep-2022 16:31:37] ERROR: [pool matomo] the chdir path '/var/www/matomo' does not exist or is not a directory
```
[14:56:46] <Folât> at `systemctl status php8.0-fpm.service`
[14:57:04] <bormay[m]> wow. this broken matomo thing is quite persistent
[14:57:32] <bormay[m]> I see it now
[14:58:32] <bormay[m]> php -v
PHP 7.4.30 (cli) (built: Sep 18 2022 12:55:40) ( NTS )
[14:58:41] <bormay[m]> that is the php version I am on now I guess
[14:59:07] <Folât> There must be some config file somewhere that still has matomo written on it.
[14:59:33] <bormay[m]> perhaps I should just install matomo :D
[14:59:40] <bormay[m]> hold on
[14:59:54] <Folât> `cd /etc/php/7.4/fpm/pool.d && ls -lha` ?
[15:00:44] <bormay[m]> that shows my installed webapps like nextcloud and nothing more
[15:00:44] <bormay[m]> no matomo
[15:00:50] <Folât> `sudo find / -name *matamo*` ? <- that could take a while
[15:00:59] <bormay[m]> ok I will let it run
[15:02:27] <bormay[m]> hmm only log files
[15:02:40] <bormay[m]> and two backup files
[15:02:50] <bormay[m]> home/yunohost.backup/archives/matomo-pre-upgrade2.tar
/home/yunohost.backup/archives/matomo-pre-upgrade2.info.json
/var/log/yunohost/categories/operation/20220815-133728-backup_restore_app-matomo.yml
/var/log/yunohost/categories/operation/20220815-180308-app_remove-matomo.yml
[15:02:56] <Folât> Hmmm...
[15:02:59] <bormay[m]> ..
[15:03:02] <bormay[m]> I will install maromo
[15:03:05] <bormay[m]> matomo
[15:03:31] <Folât> And uninstall it after you do the nextcloud upgrade?
[15:03:40] <Folât> You can try that then yes.
[15:03:44] <bormay[m]> I guess
[15:04:02] <bormay[m]> is there a webapp better than matomo?
[15:04:13] <bormay[m]> I don't really like google analytics because it isn't open source
[15:04:27] <bormay[m]> ok hold on
[15:04:39] <bormay[m]> the installation failed
[15:05:01] <Folât> bormay[m]: I only use yunohost for e-mail and nextcloud.
[15:06:20] <bormay[m]> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/esidudiyil
[15:06:29] <bormay[m]> it is complaining about php8
[15:07:18] <Folât> And have used it for chat via XMPP, but due to file transfer and encryption issues moved the only person I chatted with this way to move to using element messenger. I'm here for synapse issues I'm having, waiting for them to fix synapse admin.
[15:07:48] <Folât> > <@bormay[m]:libera.chat> it is complaining about php8
Still the same issue
[15:07:58] <bormay[m]> yes
[15:08:03] <Folât> Have you tried creating the directory manually?
[15:08:18] <bormay[m]> no
[15:08:19] <Folât> `sudo mkdir /var/www/matomo`
[15:08:28] <bormay[m]> okok
[15:09:30] <bormay[m]> trying to update nextcloud
[15:09:31] <bormay[m]> hold on
[15:09:48] <bormay[m]> this would be a miracle if that was the issuehah
[15:09:54] <bormay[m]> * this would be a miracle if that was the issue hah
[15:10:14] <bormay[m]> still getting a php8 error
[15:10:14] <bormay[m]> same error
[15:10:28] <Folât> Oh, what's it this time?
[15:10:50] <bormay[m]> I am getting the exact sam error messges
[15:10:59] <bormay[m]> it can't install php8
[15:11:08] <Folât> ????
[15:11:22] <Folât> `ls -lha /var/www`
[15:11:32] <bormay[m]> hold on I will paste the log
[15:11:33] <Folât> and paste the results
[15:11:54] <bormay[m]> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/huletotiwa
[15:12:20] <bormay[m]> drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4.0K Sep 26 17:08 matomo
[15:12:30] <bormay[m]> now this line appeared
[15:13:03] <bormay[m]> but it looks like creating the folder didn't help
[15:13:06] <Folât> Now it wants the uid for matamo
[15:13:22] <Folât> > <@bormay[m]:libera.chat> but it looks like creating the folder didn't help
It changed the error.
[15:13:26] <bormay[m]> what is the uid?
[15:13:34] <Folât> Do you have Matamo installed right now?
[15:13:42] <Folât> uid = User ID
[15:13:48] <bormay[m]> let me try to install it again
[15:14:10] <Folât> Install it fully and do the upgrade for nextcloud while Matamo is installed.
[15:14:26] <Folât> Then uninstall Matamo after the upgrade.
[15:15:03] <bormay[m]> ok one sec
[15:15:06] <Folât> And have the `/var/www/matamo` directory removed before the Matamo installation.
[15:15:17] <Folât> `sudo rmdir /var/www/matamo`
[15:17:22] <bormay[m]> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/meliyanihi
[15:17:22] <bormay[m]> the installation failed
[15:18:03] <Folât> > <@bormay[m]:libera.chat> the installation failed
Matamo is installed now?
[15:18:13] <bormay[m]> no
[15:18:20] <bormay[m]> it doesn't install at all
[15:18:28] <bormay[m]> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/meliyanihi
[15:18:44] <bormay[m]> it is giving me the same errors about php8
[15:19:05] <Folât> Oh wait, it's now saying that matomo won't install because matomo isn't installed
[15:20:03] <Folât> Okay, forget installing Matomo then, we'll just doing the Matomo things manually and then install Nextcloud.
[15:20:03] <bormay[m]> I think it might be best for an active yunohost contributor to look at this problem
[15:20:16] <bormay[m]> ok
[15:20:53] <Folât> Yeah, you can post this issue on the forum.
[15:21:16] <Folât> Bad uninstallment Matamo or something.. wait..
[15:21:46] <bormay[m]> Matomo was giving me errors after the upgrade to the newest Debian
[15:22:05] <bormay[m]> so I tried to uninstall it but that didn't work
[15:22:10] <bormay[m]> not even using the commandline
[15:22:27] <bormay[m]> so some devs in the chat helped me to uninstall it manually
[15:23:33] <Folât> Ahhhh...
[15:24:44] <bormay[m]> folaht[m]: it is such a headache haha
[15:24:54] <Folât> `sudo mkdir /var/www/matomo`
[15:25:21] <bormay[m]> again?
[15:25:34] <Folât> `sudo useradd matomo`
[15:25:35] <Folât> Yes, we're going to try that again.
[15:25:43] <Folât> Now with adding the user matomo
[15:25:57] <Folât> And then install the nextcloud upgrade again.
[15:26:11] <bormay[m]> ok 1 sec
[15:28:38] <bormay[m]> it is taking some time
[15:28:59] <bormay[m]> which is good because usually it fails quickly
[15:29:20] <bormay[m]> I think it is upgrading
[15:29:34] <bormay[m]> Upgrade to nextcloud 23.0.0
[15:29:43] <bormay[m]> Starting ...
Upgrade to nextcloud 24.0.4
[15:30:14] <bormay[m]> upgrade complete!!!!
[15:30:16] <Folât> You still need to figure out how to delete the matomo nonsense.
[15:30:17] <bormay[m]> Thank you so much folaht!!!!
[15:30:21] <bormay[m]> You are the best
[15:30:25] <bormay[m]> hahaha
[15:30:31] <bormay[m]> yes
[15:30:31] <Folât> You're welcome.
[15:30:54] <Folât> Shall we try to figure that out right now or do you think you can do so later?
[15:30:56] <bormay[m]> can I try to install matomo?
[15:31:19] <bormay[m]> yes absolutely if you have some time we can do it now
[15:31:31] <Folât> Oh right, install Matomo
[15:31:37] <Folât> And then uninstall it.
[15:31:43] <Folât> That would be the easiest way.
[15:31:59] <bormay[m]> but what if I want to keep it?
[15:32:02] <Folât> Since you uninstalled it manually.
[15:32:09] <bormay[m]> ok no
[15:32:19] <bormay[m]> it isn't installing
[15:32:30] <Folât> bormay[m]: Why not?
[15:33:42] <Folât> I'll bet that's due to the matomo user created.
[15:33:44] <bormay[m]> one second. I am trying from the terminal now using "yunohost app install matomo"
[15:34:32] <Folât> Bonjour tao
[15:34:55] <tao> hi there, anyone can help with figuring out how can i use composer and drush for drupal?
[15:35:22] <tao> salut Folât :)
[15:35:38] <bormay[m]> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/erayumoxiv
[15:36:22] <bormay[m]> folaht[m]: ^
[15:36:55] <bormay[m]> nomads-land[m]: what is the issue?
[15:37:14] <Folât> bormay[m]: Oh great, it's not installing because `/var/www/matomo` exists... wait...
[15:37:45] <Folât> Just delete the directory again `sudo rmdir /var/www/matomo`
[15:37:58] <bormay[m]> it is gone
[15:38:07] <Folât> This time it should install because php-fpm8.0 is already installed.
[15:39:10] <bormay[m]> wow
[15:39:10] <bormay[m]> trying now
[15:39:11] <bormay[m]> it installed!!!
[15:39:17] <bormay[m]> I am actually surprised
[15:39:23] <Folât> bormay[m]: There you go.
[15:39:29] <bormay[m]> how do you know all this?
[15:39:39] <bormay[m]> Thanks so much dude!
[15:39:47] <Folât> bormay[m]: How do I know what?
[15:40:04] <tao> > <@bormay[m]:libera.chat> nomads-land[m]: what is the issue?
what are the commands? passing composer cmmands directly in drupal folder gives: bash: composer: command not found
[15:40:53] <bormay[m]> folaht[m]: how did you figure out that the issue was because of the folder and the username "matomo"
[15:41:34] <Folât> bormay[m]: You figured out for me that the issue was at php-fpm.service.
[15:41:59] <Folât> So I searched for that and in the paste message there was... let's see..
[15:42:20] <Folât> It was talking about php-fpm.service not starting.
[15:42:35] <Folât> And asking to show the logs.
[15:43:00] <bormay[m]> do you think it was not starting because it was looking the user "matomo"?
[15:43:55] <bormay[m]> ahh ok I see it now
[15:44:21] <Folât> bormay[m]: It was not installing because yunohost installation scripts checks for anything out of the ordinary and retracts the installation if so.
[15:44:33] <bormay[m]> [pool matomo] the chdir path '/var/www/matomo' does not exist or is not a directory
[15:44:54] <Folât> Yeah
[15:45:00] <bormay[m]> > <@folaht[m]:libera.chat> bormay[m]: It was not installing because yunohost installation scripts checks for anything out of the ordinary and retracts the installation if so.
yes, I figured this might have been an issue
[15:45:00] <Folât> That line I found
[15:45:17] <bormay[m]> thanks so much folaht!
[15:45:28] <Folât> So often the whole installation fails if a directory is not found.
[15:46:17] <Folât> And then you told me that you deinstalled it manually.
[15:46:39] <Folât> And for uid, I learned that at programming classes.
[15:47:21] <Folât> And using Linux in general.
[15:48:36] <bormay[m]> I don't think I would have figured out this UID thing myself
[15:49:06] <bormay[m]> for a novice you would assume that a user ID gets set after an app was installed
[15:49:44] <bormay[m]> following logic ---> click install app --> create UID -> install dependencies
[15:50:10] <bormay[m]> so if UID doesn't exist the yunohost script should create it
[15:50:41] <bormay[m]> ahh whatever
[15:50:43] <bormay[m]> it worked!!!
[15:50:49] <bormay[m]> thanks again dude!
[15:51:13] <Folât> bormay[m]: It does. But for whatever reason, the yunohost script, or more specifically, php-fpm asked for matomo's user ID.
[15:52:12] <Folât> Due to your manual uninstall of Mamoto, some php configuration line did not get deleted that was asking for it.
[15:52:31] <bormay[m]> yea
[15:52:31] <bormay[m]> ahh ok. So some sort of config inside of php-fpm was still expecting to see the UID and was freaking out because it was no longer there after the manual uninstall
[15:52:40] <bormay[m]> this makes sense!
[15:52:46] <Folât> Yes
[15:52:57] <bormay[m]> wow, you are excellent at recognising the issue! Nice one!
[15:54:03] <bormay[m]> you are like neo from the matrix who is able to hack the matrix :)
[16:00:01] <Folât> bormay[m]: I wish. I'm nowhere near the same level as most programmers, let alone the good ones.
[16:08:28] <bormay[m]> hello
[16:09:00] <lep0le> j'ai un probleme avec une maj de nexcloud
[16:09:19] <lep0le> i got a bug with an update of nextcloud
[16:09:44] <lep0le> log:
[16:10:01] <lep0le> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/hocomulica
[16:10:39] <bormay[m]> folaht[m]: how do you define what a good programmer is? If you make the most useful application in the world using inefficient logic and syntax don't you think it would still make you a "good programmer"? It could be argued that it would perhaps make you the best coder.
[16:11:30] <lep0le> i find this line :
[16:11:32] <lep0le> 2022-09-26 16:46:54,560: DEBUG - This version of Nextcloud is not compatible with > PHP 7.4.<br/>You are currently running 8.0.23.+ ynh_exit_properly
[16:11:58] <bormay[m]> nomads-land[m]: are you still looking for the solution?
[16:11:59] <Folât> By finishing work in a single day that would take me two weeks.
[16:12:02] <lep0le> i'd just dist-upgrade for 11.0.9.14 (stable)
[16:12:58] <lep0le> yes solutions welcome
[16:14:31] <bormay[m]> > <@folaht[m]:libera.chat> > <@bormay[m]:libera.chat> folaht[m]: how do you define what a good programmer is? If you make the most useful application in the world using inefficient logic and syntax don't you think it would still make you a "good programmer"? It could be argued that it would perhaps make you the best coder.
>
> * By finishing work in a single day that would take me two weeks.
this is true. Some great programmers can write code like it is their native language
[16:15:03] <bormay[m]> it is quite mind blowing actually to see people code like this
[16:16:41] <tao> > <@nomads-land:matrix.org> hi there, anyone can help with figuring out how can i use composer and drush for drupal?
anyone please?
[16:17:43] <bormay[m]> I am reading the documentation
[16:18:05] <bormay[m]> nomads-land[m]: did you install compose?
[16:19:16] <bormay[m]> https://getcomposer.org/download/
[16:19:47] <bormay[m]> here is the installation script nomads-land[m]
[16:20:46] <tao> thanks bormay[m] - i havent installed it myself, but the ynh drupal installer supposedly installed composer and drush for it - i just can't find the right commend structure
[16:20:50] <Folât> tao: Why do you need Composer and Drush?
[16:20:58] <Folât> Ohhh...
[16:21:21] <tao> for drupal dev Folât
[16:21:44] <Folât> Well titus is here, so maybe he can help you tao
[16:22:28] <Folât> I have no experience with drupal.
[16:23:29] <lep0le> up
[16:23:29] <tao> cheers:) Folât
[16:23:40] <tituspijean> > <@nomads-land:matrix.org> thanks bormay[m] - i havent installed it myself, but the ynh drupal installer supposedly installed composer and drush for it - i just can't find the right commend structure
Try:
```
cd /var/www/drupal
sudo -u drupal PATH="/var/www/drupal/vendor/bin:$PATH" bash
```
[16:24:01] <tituspijean> from there you should have a bash CLI with the proper PATH to composer and so on
[16:24:24] <tituspijean> (but I am no Drupal user)
[16:26:40] <tituspijean> lep0le: https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/hocomulica looks like a massive issue with the upgrade script of Nextcloud
[16:27:45] <Folât> tituspijean: Quand penses-tu que Synapse\_ynh pourra à nouveau archivage ?
[16:28:01] <tituspijean> @nomads-land:matrix.org: If you need to call composer then try `php8.0 composer.phar ...` (8.0 if you are on YNH11)
[16:28:16] <Folât> tituspijean: Quand penses-tu que Synapse\_ynh pourra à nouveau archivage (commit) ?
[16:28:20] <tituspijean> > <@folaht:matrix.org> tituspijean: Quand penses-tu que Synapse\_ynh pourra à nouveau archivage (commit) ?
Je n'ai pas compris :)
[16:29:44] <Folât> De « testing » à « master ».
[16:30:57] <tao> > <@titus:pijean.ovh> @nomads-land:matrix.org: If you need to call composer then try `php8.0 composer.phar ...` (8.0 if you are on YNH11)
merci Titus:)
[16:31:04] <tituspijean> ooooh je lisais "synapse" et je comprenais "syncthing". j'étais tout perdu
[16:34:00] <tituspijean> @folaht:matrix.org: https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/synapse_ynh/pull/336
je dois ajouter un fix avant de lancer les tests
[17:29:05] <tao> > <@titus:pijean.ovh> Try:
> ```
> cd /var/www/drupal
> sudo -u drupal PATH="/var/www/drupal/vendor/bin:$PATH" bash
> ```
so composer doesnt want me to install with super user - but as regular user i don't have permission to get into the drupal folder in order to pass composer, une idee tituspijean
[17:30:35] <tituspijean> tao what's the output of `ls -la` after you have performed the `sudo -u ...` command?
[17:33:22] <tao> should i run it as root?
[17:33:56] <tituspijean> no. after the `sudo -u ... bash` command, you are in a terminal running as `drupal` user.
[17:34:14] <tituspijean> from the app's code, the directory should belong to that user
[17:34:25] <tituspijean> that's what I'm trying to check
[17:34:42] <tao> it belongs to www-data
[17:35:06] <tituspijean> share the whole output please :)
[17:36:54] <tituspijean> and share the command you input when you call composer.phar too ;)
[17:37:06] <tao> cd /var/www/drupal
-bash: cd: /var/www/drupal: Permission denied
[17:38:37] <tituspijean> let's start again. Open a new terminal then, input, line by line:
```
sudo su
cd /var/www/drupal
sudo -u drupal PATH="/var/www/drupal/vendor/bin:$PATH" bash
```
[17:38:47] <tituspijean> (no copy and paste of the whole block)
[17:40:12] <tituspijean> then `ls -la`
[17:46:37] <tao> > <@titus:pijean.ovh> then `ls -la`
ls -la
total 2384
[18:40:29] <roxtii_> Hello everyone,
I have some issues with migration from Debian10/Yunohost4.4.x to Debian11/Yunohost11.
Some weeks ago Yunohost asked me if I wanted to migrate and I answered with the "not yet" option.
Since I'm at the point now where I have several packages which need the upgrade for their updates already, I wanted to migrate now. But now my Yunohost tells me I did the upgrade already: "previous migrations: 21. Upgrade the system to Debian Bullseye and YunoHost 11.x ". Nevertheless I am still at 4.4.2.14 (stable) and Debian10.
My question is: how can I force the migration at this point?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
have you tried with command line?
[19:26:46] <roxtii_> Yes. It tells me that there are no pending migrations.
ok. i hope someone here may help you.
maybe sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
[23:18:35] <drsu[m]> Hi Everyone, I'm running yunohost 4.4.2.14 locally and getting "Error: "500" Internal Server Error" on everything I try to do from the admin GUI. I am able to SSH in. I would be so appreciative if anyone can help! [Here's](https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/uxiyicavuv) a diagnosis log. I noticed that the service php7.3-fpm failed, so I tried to restart it, but it didn't work, so I ran the [log](https://paste.yunohost.org/nuposopegu.sql). Any ideas for next troubleshooting steps?
[23:20:16] <Folât> drsu[m]: There's a lot more not working I see.
[23:21:08] <drsu[m]> > <@folaht[m]:libera.chat> drsu[m]: There's a lot more not working I see.
thanks for taking a look...
[23:21:34] <Folât> drsu[m]: Did you manually change any configuration files for any reason?
[23:22:17] <drsu[m]> > <@drsu:matrix.org> thanks for taking a look...
A friend helped me set it up so I'm not positive, but don't think so. It's running in a VM in debian and I'm using nginx reverse proxy.
[23:23:10] <Folât> drsu[m]: Alright, so we can fix other things while we're at it?
[23:23:52] <Folât> Although I'm not familiar with reverse proxy...
[23:24:10] <drsu[m]> > <@folaht[m]:libera.chat> drsu[m]: Alright, so we can fix other things while we're at it?
sure. And I'll ask my friend now about the config files
[23:25:05] <Folât> `/etc/nsswitch.conf` and `/usr/share/yunohost/yunohost-config/ssl/yunoCA/openssl.cnf` <- Those config files appear to be edited
[23:28:04] <drsu[m]> > <@folaht[m]:libera.chat> `/etc/nsswitch.conf` and `/usr/share/yunohost/yunohost-config/ssl/yunoCA/openssl.cnf` <- Those config files appear to be edited
I see that now at the bottom of the log. Should I run the command to check differences or just wait for my friend to message back first, and if he didn't modify anything do a force reset like it says in the log?
[23:28:27] <Folât> Run the command to check the differences.
[23:30:14] <Folât> I'm not sure what your cause is though. There seems to be a lot going on.
[23:30:32] <drsu[m]> > <@folaht[m]:libera.chat> * I'm not sure what your cause is though. There seems to be a lot going on.
[23:30:53] <Folât> Deliberately not turning on mail/xmpp is what it looks like.
[23:32:41] <mov> Hi
[23:33:04] <Folât> Hello mov
[23:33:27] <drsu[m]> > <@folaht[m]:libera.chat> Deliberately not turning on mail/xmpp is what it looks like.
Not sure how you figured that out but thanks. Think I should take a snapshot of the VM and reset the configs? Anything else for diagnostics I should do first?
[23:35:02] <Folât> drsu[m]: I think it's best to check nginx logs and check for errors.
[23:36:33] <drsu[m]> > <@folaht[m]:libera.chat> * drsu[m]: I think it's best to check nginx logs and check for errors.
Will do. My friend replied "I probably used self signed certs for something. Not a big deal"
[23:36:51] <Folât> What does `cat /var/log/nginx/error.log` say?
[23:37:43] <drsu[m]> > <@folaht[m]:libera.chat> What does `cat /var/log/nginx/error.log` say?
https://paste.yunohost.org/ugebijehum.pas
[23:38:42] <Folât> Hmmm... that's normal.
[23:41:42] <Folât> And you say it's not working locally, correct?
[23:42:58] <drsu[m]> I can open the VM and get command line. When I go to the admin GUI on the web, it comes up, but anything I do gives me error 500 Internal Server Error
[23:43:14] <Folât> So `vm.ip.v.4/yunohost/admin/#/` gets you 500 internal server error.
[23:43:21] <drsu[m]> In the meanwhile it is working, e.g. I can access nextcloud
[23:44:16] <drsu[m]> I'll try that on the sever, be right back
[23:44:48] <Folât> By `mv.ip.v.4` I mean the ipv4 address of your vm
[23:48:14] <drsu[m]> and I put that into the browser?
[23:49:40] <Folât> Yes, I thought you meant this when you said, _running yunohost locally_.
[23:50:11] <drsu[m]> I'll try it. Locally I just have the command line on the VM or SSH in from my other computer
[23:50:48] <Folât> Trying to access the admin panel via the local ipv4 address instead of the domain name, so it's local.
[23:51:10] <Folât> But I wanted to make sure if I understood you correctly.
[23:52:28] <Folât> I think you are actually on the right track with pip7.3-fpm not working, but I have no idea what's going on there.
[23:52:53] <drsu[m]> Using the local address, the GUI comes up but I can't even log in, give me error 500 when I enter my password. When I get it through the domain I can at least log in. Weird
[23:54:58] <drsu[m]> > <@folaht[m]:libera.chat> I think you are actually on the right track with pip7.3-fpm not working, but I have no idea what's going on there.
okay thanks so much for the help, will try to learn more about that
[23:57:25] <Folât> drsu[m]: Can you try another browser to log in?
[23:58:23] <drsu[m]> sure, you mean on the server with the local IP?
[23:58:46] <Folât> Just use another browser to make sure it's not the browser causing this issue.
