[04:51:54] <mrmowglee7712939> Hi
[04:52:41] <mrmowglee7712939> I am having grub failed to install this is a fatal error on installing yunohost on old laptop.
[08:31:41] <user462> Voici :)
[08:31:42] <user462> https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/ufororaqav
[08:32:23] <user462> j'ai lu le logs mais ne vois pas à quelle moments ca plante
[08:39:03] <Tag> > <@user462:libera.chat> j'ai lu le logs mais ne vois pas à quelle moments ca plante

2023-07-28 08:04:24,683: WARNING - The password needs to be at least 12 characters long and contain a digit, upper, lower and special characters

[09:13:45] <Michele Agostinelli> Hello, i installed librex, i can't find any global settings in yuno. I want to setup the default language
[10:29:26] <Shmail S> https://aria.im/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/urgvVNJnPJleSiXIodwQQGgk
[10:29:27] <Shmail S> Hey there, so I tried making use of the automatic DNS through API calls via Namecheap but I really cant tell what to put in the last field "domain_config_auth_sandbox". Does anybody know what to insert here?
[10:55:51] <Michele Agostinelli> > <@magostinelli:matrix.org> Hello, i installed librex, i can't find any global settings in yuno. I want to setup the default language

problem solved, yunohost create a wrong config.php that has different option from config.php.example
[11:26:27] <orhtej2> > <@magostinelli:matrix.org> problem solved, yunohost create a wrong config.php that has different option from config.php.example

does not sound like a solution, can you please report an issue on github explaining what went wrong?
[11:26:46] <orhtej2> here: https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/librex_ynh
[14:57:50] <fch> I am unable to perform a manual backup, not sure what's the problem form the logs: https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/ditakodika
[14:59:22] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> is `/var/www/nextcloud` mounted on another drive maybe ?
[15:18:23] <kitpolini> quelle est versions stable armbian stable qui fonctionne bien pour orange pi pc ? merci
[15:19:28] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> how is it related to YunoHost ...
[15:24:59] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> donc 1. quelle image et procédure tu as suivi exactement
[15:25:09] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> et 2. quel est le problème que tu as rencontré exactement
[15:30:22] <kitpolini>  désolé c'est dur a expliquer  , désolé
[15:34:48] <lgb> hi everyone
[15:42:19] <lgb>  df -h and df -i are far from 100% (32 and 7% ...). Tried journalctl --vacuum-size=10M, cannot add the user.
[15:42:19] <lgb> I'm facing a "OSError: [Errno 28] No space left on device" adding a user on Yunohost 11.1.21.4 .
[15:42:20] <lgb> Has anyone faced this type of problem ?
[15:47:27] <lgb> mount returns "armbian-ramlog on /var/log type tmpfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec,relatime,size=51200k,mode=755)"
[15:47:27] <lgb> this seems to be ok
[15:48:19] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> "df -h and df -i are far from 100% (32 and 7% ...)." < you sure about that @_@
[15:48:22] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> can you share the output ?
[15:48:35] <@err404:matrix.org> can be inodes
[15:50:25] <lgb> df -i tells 7% for / and 1% for /var/log.
[15:51:01] <lgb> :-/
[15:51:16] <lgb> grumpf
[15:52:01] <lgb> I focused on / which is 32% in space, /var/log is 100% ...
[15:52:30] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> yeah classic armbian trick with /var/log mounted in the RAM with a ridiculous amount of space
[15:52:51] <lgb> -_-
[15:53:00] <lgb> thanks for the answers
[15:53:06] <lgb> sorry for the noise
[15:56:04] <lgb> got 2GB of ram, 790 Mo used, what would you recommend for a larger ramdisk on /var/log (as a default I'll try 300Mo)?
[15:58:07] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> hmf yeah i don't know, i think armbian's trick sounds ultimately flawed to me, i think it should either be disabled completely because i don't think log writing is such a big deal for SD card, *or* there's a need for some sort of aggressive and automatic log cleanup
[15:59:41] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> or have some other design like some `/var/log_archive` that would be on disk for archive older than a couple days, and therefore only have the bare minimum "recent" log in `/var/log` ... though that leads to other issues
[16:03:50] <lgb> Everything is written on a ssd, the sdcard is just used for the boot process, could be worth disabling it I guess.
[16:05:08] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> yup
[16:10:41] <lgb> héhé ... works way better now, was that expected ? ;-)
[16:29:31] <timeerrr> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> you mean it says dpkg is in a broken state ?

I guess. Don't really have the skills to fix this. If anyone could help I'd be very grateful 🙏
[16:35:10] <orhtej2> > <@timeerrr:matrix.org> I guess. Don't really have the skills to fix this. If anyone could help I'd be very grateful 🙏

have you tried running `apt --fix-broken install` as error message suggested?
[16:35:17] <orhtej2> likely prepended with `sudo`
[16:41:27] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> (the error message should be advertising the relevant commands, such as `dpkg --audit`)
[17:39:36] <timeerrr> Tried all of them:

`sudo apt --fix-broken install`

There's your problem, you're out of disk space, at least on what's mounted as `/boot`
[17:46:23] <timeerrr> > > failed to write (No space left on device)

> There's your problem, you're out of disk space, at least on what's mounted as `/boot`

Yeah. I've tried removing old kernels as you guys told me here but I still get errors
[17:46:46] <timeerrr> > <@timeerrr:matrix.org> > linux-image-amd64 is already the newest version (5.10.179-2).

Tried this

And this
[17:47:19] <orhtej2> I mean you're doomed, unless you find more space on `/boot` there's no way around the problem
[17:47:36] <orhtej2> what's in `ls -la /boot` anyway?
[17:48:03] <orhtej2> and `df -h`

[17:48:45] <orhtej2> you still have 4 versions to remove

[17:49:08] <orhtej2> `uname -a` to know what you're running
[17:49:18] <orhtej2> and remove the other 5.10.0-xx versions
[17:50:00] <orhtej2> https://linuxhint.com/remove-old-kernels-debian/
[17:50:08] <timeerrr> > you still have 4 versions to remove

Yeah but I can't. When I try to remove one, for example:

`sudo apt remove linux-image-5.10.0-20-amd64`

> I get:
> Reading package lists... Done
> Building dependency tree... Done

[17:50:33] <timeerrr> > https://linuxhint.com/remove-old-kernels-debian/

Okay checking it
[17:51:00] <orhtej2> these probably require working `apt` :/
[17:51:51] <timeerrr> > these probably require working `apt` :/

Yeah I'm stuck it seems
[17:52:16] <orhtej2> ok, what's the result of `uname -a` and how crazy are you?
[17:52:40] <timeerrr> > ok, what's the result of `uname -a` and how crazy are you?

> Linux fsam.one 5.10.0-23-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.10.179-1 (2023-05-12) x86_64 GNU/Linux

[17:53:09] <timeerrr> Linux fjkk.com 5.10.0-23-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.10.179-1 (2023-05-12) x86_64 GNU/Linux

[17:53:12] <orhtej2> because *_technically_ you can just `rm initrd.img-5.10.0-19-amd64 config-5.10.0-19-amd64 System.map-5.10.0-19-amd64 2022 vmlinuz-5.10.0-19-amd64` and then let `apt` gather the fallout
[17:53:27] <orhtej2> or you'll get a bricked system, one of the two
[17:54:13] <orhtej2> (this will delete some of the files related to -19 kernel which is persumably not in use)
[17:54:21] <timeerrr> We'll I don't have much to lose at this point haha so let's try the cazy way
[17:54:38] <orhtej2> remember this is super not recommended and it's potentially super harmful
[17:55:05] <timeerrr> Yeah I understand the consequences. And big thanks for the help
[17:55:15] <timeerrr> I'll make some backups and try it
[17:58:40] <timeerrr> Done! Removed 5.10.0-19 and had enough space to fix apt and so on
[17:58:54] <timeerrr> Thank you so much!!!!!! orhtej2
[18:07:40] <orhtej2> > https://linuxhint.com/remove-old-kernels-debian/

Still remove old kernels properly
[19:24:03] <freeway0553> Hi there
[19:27:17] <freeway0553> I'm trying to login to debian after installing yunohost but I am getting "Unable to contact settings server" Failed to execute child process "dbus-launch" No such file or directory
[19:29:49] <@err404:matrix.org> you need to login via your web browser first, on the ip address
[19:31:58] <freeway0553> I did that
[19:32:37] <@err404:matrix.org> the error is from your webbrowser?
[19:32:47] <@err404:matrix.org> or later by ssh?
[19:34:06] <freeway0553> It comes as a popup after entering user and pass on the login gui of Debian
[19:35:30] <freeway0553> the system doesnt open to desktop at all
[19:36:23] <freeway0553> It happened after I made an admin account then installed i think
[19:37:08] <freeway0553> It took me to a terminal looking page and i thought i did something wrong so i shut it down
[19:38:44] <tituspijean> Hello, please use a GUI-less version of Debian.
[19:39:09] <freeway0553> But then how would I access the browser
[19:39:50] <freeway0553> Do i need to do a complete reinstall then
[19:40:02] <tituspijean> Use a different device? Your server is supposed to be practically headless (besided showing the command line interface if needed)
[19:40:39] <tituspijean> > <freeway0553> Do i need to do a complete reinstall then

I think so. What's your hardware ?
[19:41:55] <freeway0553> I am on an old laptop
[19:42:52] <freeway0553> I will try reinstalling with no gui then this time
[19:43:36] <tituspijean> 👍
[19:43:48] <freeway0553> Thanks
[19:47:38] <freeway0553> Btw would I have to use the public ip to login this time
[19:49:24] <freeway0553> Also if is the domain name i used last time taken
[22:10:39] <freeway0553> Guys is this ok? paste.yunohost.org/raw/wufesudufa

[22:33:34] <freeway0553> Guys i forgot my password
[22:49:49] <freeway0553> Its ok i reset it and its fixed
