[00:17:28] <eriix[m]> Had two instances of this chat open somehow. Leaving one left both. If anyone offered advice before I noticed, I may not have access to that history. Sorry.
[13:52:48] <Ryuuka> Hello. Is IPv6 needed to create an SSL key for my domain? I got all the correct DNS entries done but connecting via IPv6 doesnt work which is the only warnings left atm. But when i want to add an SSL key it stays greyed out even if i click ignore on the remaining issues.
[14:35:19] <craigvb[m]> current one doesn't seem to work :(
[14:39:27] <tripop[m]> > <@Alekswag[m]:libera.chat> > <@tripop[m]:libera.chat> Sorry for the rant, just... WHY ?? 😭
>
> Because Yunohost is actually a conspiracy by people who like to purposely create badly designed software to waste people time

I was not talking only about yunohost, more like self-hosting ecosystem in general. I know it also pretty hard work for yunohost dev team...
[17:05:01] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> yes it will definitely mangle your existing install
[17:05:38] <LjL> install...
[17:05:38] <LjL> Hi. I would like to use YunoHost but I don't have a *spare* Debian server... I do however have my own Debian server. I assume there shouldn't be any particular issue running YunoHost in a VM given enough RAM and storage (and presumably the right network configuration which I do need to look up)? I've also seen any Debian bullseye install can be "converted" into YunoHost with a script, but that worries me more than a little in case is mangles my existing treasured
[17:26:33] <Ryuuka> no matter what i do i can't get the Let's Encrypt certificate install button to light up.. I even did a full reinstall and reupgraded for several hours now but the issue is still there. It says DNS config is not cerrect but it is exactly what it told me to add. But IPv6 just wont work and i dont know what to do. I just want to encrypt my domain..
[17:30:09] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> if IPv6 doesn't work then just don't configure AAAA records
[17:30:33] <Ryuuka> and that fixes it? just deleting the entries?
[17:30:33] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> or does the diagnosis also complain about the A record ?
[17:30:42] <Ryuuka> no it doesnt
[17:32:58] <rodinux> you can use yunohost without ipv6 if it is hard with your environnement
[17:34:28] <Ryuuka> youre a genius thx.. it works now after i deleted the AAAA entries
[23:35:10] <fenix88> Hola
[23:35:31] <rodinux> buenas
