[04:37:30] <flyguy729> + Cloudflare or can someone just point out the steps to get it to work?. ( im on threadripper so i can host many apps on wsl without much performance hit )
[04:37:30] <Guest2491> Basically a `Package 'php8.0-**********' has no installation candidate` series of messages
[04:37:31] <flyguy729> Hello guys! (: I have a quick question, are there any guide to make yunohost work with cloudflare tunnel? I am hosting yunohost ( for simplicity sake. not ideal i know ) on WSL and i know the whole wsl keep changing ip thing. Ive also hosted Nextcloud on WSL using cloudflare tunnel and it works flawlessly so just wondering if theres any guide on YH
[04:42:25] <flyguy729> yes

[11:20:55] <fadenf> Hi everyone! Upon installing Outline on a clean server that I installed yunohost on and set up the three domains needed for Outline on, the installation failed. Here is my logs: https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/voxataceyi
[11:22:36] <fadenf> so I see that Java is running out of memory, but don't know what to do about that...
[11:30:23] <jcast> Could someone kindly point me to guide(s) for the very basics of home server security (analyzing logs, setting DMZs, firewalls etc)?
[11:34:06] <Floris> > <jcast> Could someone kindly point me to guide(s) for the very basics of home server security (analyzing logs, setting DMZs, firewalls etc)?

Maybe this helps already?
[12:01:02] <orhtej2> > <@fadenf:libera.chat> so I see that Java is running out of memory, but don't know what to do about that...

JavaScript actually. How much physical RAM does your server have? JS builds take up to several GB and by default don't use swap space
[12:24:13] <ynhuserdefrance5> bonjour.
[12:49:36] <Eiwan> ynhuserdefrance5: bonjour
[13:35:43] <fadenf> thanks! Upgraded to 2GB for the install and everything worked perfectly :)
[13:36:06] <fadenf> any idea what the recommended hardware is for Outline with 4 users?
[13:41:10] <fadenf> found it in the docs, so never mind (it's 512 MB minimum with 1 GB or more recommended, depending on number of users)

That's nice but doesn't address any of the topics.
[15:10:47] <christorson> Hello all. I'm curious if there is any known ways of improving performance of my nextcloud instance. It works pretty great for me, but I do a lot of collaberate one-off work and whenever I share a document nextcloud frontloads a bunch of stuff and people assume its broken / uber slow
[15:11:30] <christorson> these are non-technical folks who are very used to google docs so if the page takes longer then five seconds to load they will mentaly label it "slow"
[15:15:38] <christorson> I've flipped the switch in the dashboard settings to "fast" but at least when I test on a clean browser its still fails the 5 sec test. usually 10 seconds plus. I also see yunohost has redis enabled by default so thats not it
[15:16:20] <christorson> This is the point where if I was not using yunohost I would start fiddling with configs via command line but I'd prefer not to have to do that withough first checking to see if there are any known performance tweaks others have tried which have been successful.
[15:25:53] <rodrigue> coucou a tous !
[15:51:17] <orhtej2> > <@christorson:cyberia.club> Hello all. I'm curious if there is any known ways of improving performance of my nextcloud instance. There's some preliminary work done to use postgresql rather than mysql but as I understand it ynh support for that is experimental at best
[15:53:39] <christorson> Hrm. How much of a speed diff is there between postgres and myql? I know my home (non-yunohost) lan only nextcloud server runs postgres and that its way faster... but also, its on a lan, of course its faster
[16:11:43] <orhtej2> > <@christorson:cyberia.club> Hrm. How much of a speed diff is there between postgres and myql? I know my home (non-yunohost) lan only nextcloud server runs postgres and that its way faster... but also, its on a lan, of course its faster

Haven't seen any numbers, I just heard 'faster'
[16:12:50] <christorson> well thats good to keep in mind.
I also just noticed that bots keep trying to crawl an old git repo so now I'm checking if maybe I need stricter fail2ban / robots.txt rules
[16:52:14] <ej38fb6h63> How to configure yunohost's networking like change the hosts file, after i set up through browser, the command line still prompt to run post-install,it seems there are no place to change that configure
[17:31:07] <rodrigue7973_> why is speak french please ?
[17:54:01] <orhtej2> As I understand this is bilingual channel, everybody's welcome to speak both English and French
[17:57:20] <mavric34> Hello, why is the "tailscale" (headscale) tool not supported by Yunohost?

It is an essential tool to use the network of a remote server in the case of a site publication!
[17:57:54] <rodrigue7973_> sorry mister orhtej2
[17:59:46] <rodrigue> sorry me the problem connexion irc
[18:00:05] <rodrigue> orhtej2, you say spreak french :D
[18:13:15] <orhtej2> > <@rodrigue:libera.chat> orhtej2, you say spreak french :D

'oui, je ne parle pas francais' is the extent of it :P
[18:13:37] <rodrigue> orhtej2, okay thank :(
[18:15:13] <orhtej2> > <@rodrigue:libera.chat> orhtej2, okay thank :(

(but seriously, just ask in french, there are plenty of competent people here that speak the language)
[18:16:40] <orhtej2> > <@mavric34:matrix.org> Hello, why is the "tailscale" (headscale) tool not supported by Yunohost?
>
> It is an essential tool to use the network of a remote server in the case of a site publication!

it's already added to [wishlist](https://yunohost.org/es/apps_wishlist), someone may pick it up at some point. Or you can give packaging it a go :)
[18:19:34] <mavric34> I want to self-host yunohost locally on a server at home, and make some yunohost services visible publicly using the networks of a remote vps. So to do this I thought of TailScale but I don't know this tool. Do you have a better idea to do this?
[18:23:59] <rodrigue> orhtej2, okay
[18:42:08] <lapineige> > (but seriously, just ask in french, there are plenty of competent people here that speak the language)

et on peut traduire / and we can translate
[19:46:27] <ward23> Hi
[22:00:45] <Claus> Robin: Meanwhile I found a solution. Somehow metronome was activated and seems to interfere with prosody. I just stopped metronome and disabled the service at reboot. Now everything works fine again.
[22:07:43] <orhtej2> > <@claus:blabla.blablub.de> Robin: Meanwhile I found a solution. Somehow metronome was activated and seems to interfere with prosody. I just stopped metronome and disabled the service at reboot. Now everything works fine again.

These two are known to not work together, i. e. https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/peertube_ynh/issues/311
[22:09:12] <Claus> Well I know..So I didn't activate Metronome. Looks like it was automatically activated during one of the last updates.
[22:51:19] <Jordan777> @yunohost I downloaded minetest but how do i acctually access the game from the browser
[22:58:06] <orhtej2> > <@Jordan777:libera.chat> @yunohost I downloaded minetest but how do i acctually access the game from the browser

You need a dedicated client, this is only server package
[22:58:58] <Jordan777> any link to instructions all the stuff ive found so far just show you how to install then run directly on server via desktop
[23:02:52] <orhtej2> https://wiki.minetest.net/Getting_Started
[23:03:00] <orhtej2> Server you installed runs on domain.tld:30000
[23:13:21] <geoma[m]> Hi. I am having lots of trouble trying to get the yunohost liveusb to run on my beelink minipc. Checksum is OK. Tried different usb drives on different ports and burned image using different software (dd, suse image writer, etcher) but they won't boot on any of the Beelink nor im my MSI laptop. Both computers do boot the linux mint live usb without problem though.. Any ideas? thanks!
[23:13:56] <christorson> > <@geoma[m]:libera.chat> Hi. I am having lots of trouble trying to get the yunohost liveusb to run on my beelink minipc. Checksum is OK. can you install regular debian 11 by itself?
[23:14:57] <geoma[m]> haven't tried to install debian 11 on the beelink but I did install it on my laptop on february so I guess it would work.
[23:15:27] <geoma[m]> if I install yunohost over debian I will get the same results as directly installing the yunohost ISO?
[23:15:49] <christorson> better actually, since you will be able to use it with a gui as well
[23:16:34] <christorson> I mean, I'm not a dev so idk if this is a good choice for you, but I have never had any problems installing yunohost on a laptop / desktop, just doing a regular debian 11 install, then then changing to root and running `curl https://install.yunohost.org | bash` like on a cloud vps
[23:17:37] <geoma[m]> so, just install debian and follow this instructions: https://yunohost.org/en/install/hardware:vps_debian ?
[23:18:06] <geoma[m]> I am intrigued why the flashed live usb won't boot though... but I will try with debian now
[23:18:34] <christorson> yeah thats whats worked for me on old laptops and desktops that before yunohost where not doing anything. idk what beelink is tho
[23:19:40] <geoma[m]> beelink is like an Intel NUC chinese clone... a mini pc
[23:21:01] <christorson> huh. cool.
[23:21:23] <christorson> if its arm that might be something different.
[23:22:42] <geoma[m]> it's a AMD Ryzen 5 5500u https://www.amd.com/es/products/apu/amd-ryzen-5-5500u
[23:28:27] <geoma[m]> It worked!!! Flashed usb with ventoy and worked. Neither etcher, dd, suse image writer nor usbimager worked!
[23:28:27] <geoma[m]> So will directly install yunohost ISO. I guess thst installing it without a graphical environment will save resources
[23:28:58] <orhtej2> > <@geoma[m]:libera.chat> I am intrigued why the flashed live usb won't boot though... but I will try with debian now

Are you running UEFI with Secure Boot perhaps?
