<jrkb> i am installing yunohost with a live usb on my old thinkpad. somehow the installer always fails with setting up the partitions. i tried on two different machines (one a desktop, one the thinkpad.) could there be an issue with the drive having an mbr partition table? should i rather give it a gpt table, or is this irrelevant?

<tane> Its the installer problem if it is failing with a efi partition error. I find the best way to install is to use a debian 11 installer, deselect the debian desktop/gnome stuff at the end and then use the script installer.

<jrkb> that's a good tip. i'll try this if the current attempt fails. i wiped the disk and put a clean gpt partition table on it with otherwise only free space. so far the installer seems to be doing alright and is installing the base system
