[00:30:33] <geoma[m]> I am on UEFI but secure boot has always been disabled
[00:31:02] <geoma[m]> Maybe yunohost should recommend using ventoy instead of etcher?
[08:17:36] <lejocelyn[m]> hi, I have an issue with the update:
[08:18:03] <lejocelyn[m]> it doesn't want to update anymore as a package was not configure properly
[08:18:09] <lejocelyn[m]> initramfs-tools
[08:18:14] <lejocelyn[m]> sudo dpkg --configure initramfs-tools

[08:18:25] <lejocelyn[m]> dpkg: error processing package initramfs-tools (--configure):
installed initramfs-tools package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
initramfs-tools

[08:20:22] <lejocelyn[m]> ah, I found the issue
[08:20:27] <lejocelyn[m]> gzip: stdout: No space left on device

[08:20:31] <lejocelyn[m]> sorry
[08:35:47] <lejocelyn[m]> I guess following the Yunohost default partition structure was not the best, only 200 MB for Boot
[08:53:36] <orhtej2> > <@lejocelyn[m]:libera.chat> I guess following the Yunohost default partition structure was not the best, only 200 MB for Boot

is it not purging old kernels?
[08:53:52] <lejocelyn[m]> it does it after I guess
[08:54:08] <lejocelyn[m]> so if there is not enough space to install the new one, it fails
[08:54:24] <orhtej2> 200MB should be enough to house 2 kernels at the same time
[08:57:17] <lejocelyn[m]> yep
[08:57:31] <lejocelyn[m]> it was trying to old 4 kernels
[09:02:35] <orhtej2> `81M /boot` <-- I have 2 kernels installed
[09:02:57] <orhtej2> you can check with `dpkg --list | grep linux-image | grep ^ii`
[09:04:19] <lejocelyn[m]> I have 3 of theml
[09:10:28] <orhtej2> > <@lejocelyn[m]:libera.chat> I have 3 of theml

you can `uname -a` and remove the other installed with `apt purge linux-image-xxx`
[09:22:35] <lejocelyn[m]> yes, you're right, I'll remove the oldest one
[11:21:59] <yukil> is there any easy way to install matrix synapse on a domain where the base path is already a web app?
[11:55:02] <yukil> This person attempted to retract a previous message, but it's unsupported by your client.
[12:22:25] <ynhuser564> Thanks for you help
[12:24:45] <ynhuser564> PS: I'm a newbie and not familiar much with selfhosting nor too technical
[12:29:40] <orhtej2> > <@ynhuser564:libera.chat> PS: I'm a newbie and not familiar much with selfhosting nor too technical

I must have missed the question
[12:33:51] <ynhuser564> can I encrypt  the disk after installation of ynh?
[12:34:55] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> probably but that will be more technical that doing it during the install (of the base OS like Debian) and YunoHost doesn't provide any specific tool to help with this
[12:36:26] <ynhuser564> So I'd rather install everything from scratch? armbian too?
[12:38:30] <ynhuser564> Is there a tutorial that I can follow, in both cases 1. postinstall 2. reinstall from scratch ? thanks
[12:41:16] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> yes, armbian, then follow https://yunohost.org/en/install/hardware:vps_debian (the curl|bash thingy)
[12:42:14] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> as for the encrypting part, i have no tutorial in mind, everything depends a lot of your exact setup, YunoHost doesn't have any specific tool to help with this, it "doesn't care" wether or not your drive is encrypted
[12:45:00] <lejocelyn[m]> I just realized that df could be used to know on which partition a folder what mounted, when specifying a folder
[12:49:18] <Guest35> Hi, I need some information regarding an open source social network (ossn) application to install in yunohost, Is it possible or don't you think if you guys can add that app as well in yunohost?
[12:52:00] <Guest35> #yunohost:libera.chat
[12:53:21] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> "open source social network" sounds like a vague, general name ...
[12:54:54] <tituspijean> Looks like they are referring to that: https://www.opensource-socialnetwork.org/
[12:56:26] <lejocelyn[m]> Arg, what an opportunist naming strategy
[12:57:29] <tituspijean> As generic as "facebook" 😅
[12:57:46] <lejocelyn[m]> Their license is the Cryptographic Autonomy License version 1.0
[12:57:51] <lejocelyn[m]> I've never heard of it
[12:57:59] <lejocelyn[m]> https://github.com/opensource-socialnetwork/opensource-socialnetwork/blob/master/LICENSE.md
[12:58:17] <Guest35> yes tituspijean thats the site. I think instead of focusing on name someone can describe features and benefits. Actually i want to use that app. There are lot of free features
[12:58:56] <lejocelyn[m]> Ah ok: https://opensource.org/license/cal-1-0/
[12:59:52] <lejocelyn[m]> Guest35: a lot of free features? so they have restricted features ?
[13:00:37] <Guest35> At the end everyone need money.:]
[13:01:14] <lejocelyn[m]> it's just that it's not clear on the website
[13:02:28] <Guest35> So how to request yunohost to add that. Or is there anyone who can provide some technical info to install it in yunohost?
[13:03:10] <Guest35> I will appreciate if someone can provide some little knowledge regarding installing that app
[13:03:23] <lejocelyn[m]> one way would be to package the application yourself: https://yunohost.org/fr/packaging_apps?q=%2Fpackaging_apps
[13:04:15] <lejocelyn[m]> There is also the possibility to add the application on the wishlist: https://yunohost.org/en/apps_wishlist
[13:05:12] <lejocelyn[m]> Guest35: how well do you know the app? Is it just that you want to test it to see? for a specific purpose?
[13:06:41] <Guest35> well, i tested all the apps in yunohost, They have very good collection of social networking but not fulfilling all the requirements like this app has.
[13:09:40] <Guest35> Thank you lejocelyn for providing the links, i have read that quite lengthy procedure, I think for the time being i to read a lot and install that app, I am sure yunohost guys will add that app because it is very useful, its like a mixture of rocket chat, wekan, facebook etc. That's why i thought i should check with you guys.
[13:11:02] <Guest35> Thanks once again for your time. (all of you) have a nice day. Take care, Bye
[13:18:02] <lejocelyn[m]> You're very welcome. Thanks for telling about this app
[13:46:53] <barking bandicoot> Hello all! I installed IFM file manager but cannot move to other directories. ps I am trying to restore a Wordpress backup. It there another program that I could use? Thanks.
[14:02:38] <orhtej2> define `other`. User running the file manager needs to have access to target directory
[14:03:36] <barking bandicoot> > define `other`. User running the file manager needs to have access to target directory

Thanks for the reply. How do I define other?
[14:04:05] <orhtej2> as in please tell what does 'other directories' mean
[14:04:41] <orhtej2> you want to restore backup that you have downloaded locally? https://yunohost.org/en/backup#upload-an-archive
[14:05:50] <barking bandicoot> Oh! Well I need to unpack the tar file in /var/www/wordpress/wp-content/backuply/backups
[14:09:50] <barking bandicoot> Where does ifm store files by default? I found ifm in www but there is only ifm.php.
[14:13:04] <orhtej2> > <@snagglepuss:matrix.org> Oh! Well I need to unpack the tar file in /var/www/wordpress/wp-content/backuply/backups

how did you create the backup? if via ynh then upload to `/home/yunohost.backup/archives/` and ask ynh to restore the backup
[14:14:10] <barking bandicoot> No, the backup is from my shared hosting.
[14:15:30] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> (I think they mean they are trying to transfer a backup archive from another machine to this server ...)
[14:16:09] <orhtej2> > <@snagglepuss:matrix.org> No, the backup is from my shared hosting.

I mean if it's manual backup then you'll probably have to restore it from SSH :/
[14:18:05] <barking bandicoot> Ok, thanks. I was hoping to find the backup I uploaded to the default ifm directory and mv it into the Wordpress directory.
[14:18:44] <orhtej2> > <@snagglepuss:matrix.org> Ok, thanks. I was hoping to find the backup I uploaded to the default ifm directory and mv it into the Wordpress directory.

I doubt user running IFM has access to wordpress directory, it's sort of intended to give apps as little access as possible
[14:31:39] <barking bandicoot> I am logged in as root. I was hoping to mv the files in the terminal.
[14:31:39] <barking bandicoot> I am logged in as root. I was hoping to mv the files in the terminal.
[14:31:52] <barking bandicoot> Sorry! I lost internet!
[14:34:43] <orhtej2> > <@snagglepuss:matrix.org> I am logged in as root. I was hoping to mv the files in the terminal.

I was referring to user running php code on the server, internally created by YNH
[14:48:38] <barking bandicoot> Ok! I found the backup in home/yunohost.app/ifm/
[17:34:37] <lapineige> Hello,
For a few months now my Yunohost server mail redirection (to my hosted email) fails.

These emails are sent to mailo.com (an email hoster). They fail with `554 Message delivery error`, as stated by `MAILER-DAEMON@myYunohost.tld`

It I log in Yunohost and send an email, everything is fine.

Any idea how to fix this ?

It fails from 3 servers.

It I log in Yunohost and send an email, everything is fine.

Any idea how to fix this ?

Is this first user it fails for? Was this instance migrated from the version with phony `admin` user? Had similar issue where diagnostics failed
[17:53:34] <orhtej2> Though don't remember what the fix was 🤔
[18:15:08] <lapineige> (by the way should we remove this account ?)
[18:15:31] <lapineige> oh yeah, that might be the issue, all 3 servers where migrated from previous Yunohost, admin user is still there, and the issue seems to appeared at the same time period as the upgrade
[22:28:00] <Guest4451> If I install yunohost on a server at home, does I need to open ports on my router?
[22:40:32] <orhtej2> > <@Guest4451:libera.chat> If I install yunohost on a server at home, does I need to open ports on my router?

To be accessible from outside - likely yes as per https://yunohost.org/en/isp_box_config
[22:41:02] <orhtej2> > oh yeah, that might be the issue, all 3 servers where migrated from previous Yunohost, admin user is still there

Does `dovecot` or `rspamd` log indicate any failures?

do you have the original mail as attachment ? everything looks right ?
[22:49:43] <Tag> I know Yahoo uses 554 when the recipient does not exist, I don't know for Mailo
