[03:25:33] <Tag> > <Cassie> Hi! Does anyone know what directory the install scripts are kept? I wanna make a minor edit to fix an issue with installing Mastodon on my rpi

It's downloaded every time you run the command. To try your patch, you''ll need to download the package (eg git clone the repo), edit the script and run `yunohost app install /path/to/the/package`
[03:28:05] <Tag> Cassie: can you share your failed install logs btw?

[07:49:30] <ChriChri[m]> Is there a reason why the default configuration of ynh does not offer smtps to email clients?
[07:51:16] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> is there a reason why it should ? 😬
[07:52:43] <ChriChri[m]> Uhm, I'm not really sure. I'm migrating a mailsystem based on exim, mysql, dovecot to ynh and there are users who use smtps...
I had hoped, that I could migrate behind the scene without the users ever knowing what is going on ;-).
[07:53:19] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> yeah if i remember correctly there's at least 3 different protocol but only 2 different ports and it's a mess
[07:54:01] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> something like this
[07:54:15] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> classic email stuff
[07:54:53] <ChriChri[m]> It's submission port and official smtp port - both support starttls. And then there is smtps for which ssl is negotiated before any smtp happens.
[07:55:00] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> like there's the "old deprecated one" using port A, the "currently standard-ish and okay-ish one" using port B, and the new "modern, top-notch security but still a bit too new" using port A
[08:04:40] <orhtej2> > <Cassie> That doesnt seem to be the one,,,

I mean `smth` was a placeholder

```sh
root@host:/etc/yunohost/apps/grav/scripts# ls -la
total 44
drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Sep 20 12:11 .
drw------- 5 root root 4096 Sep 20 12:11 ..
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 1639 Sep 20 12:11 backup
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 783 Sep 20 12:11 change_url
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 1152 Sep 20 12:11 _common.sh
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 3785 Sep 20 12:11 config
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 3102 Sep 20 12:11 install
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 1339 Sep 20 12:11 remove
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 2375 Sep 20 12:11 restore
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 4534 Sep 20 12:11 upgrade
```
[08:06:05] <orhtej2> Tag: re-downloading them would making at least stable backup/restore super unreliable, n'est-ce-pas?
[08:40:06] <ChriChri[m]> Uhm, first try to send an email using snappymail:
```
postfix/smtpd[150128]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from localhost[::1]: 553 5.7.1 <sender@do.main>: Sender address rejected: not logged in; from=<sender@do.main> to=<receipient@other_do.main> proto=ESMTP helo=<smail.do.main>
```
[08:48:18] <ChriChri[m]> > <@chrichri:librem.one> Uhm, first try to send an email using snappymail:
> ```
> postfix/smtpd[150128]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from localhost[::1]: 553 5.7.1 <sender@do.main>: Sender address rejected: not logged in; from=<sender@do.main> to=<receipient@other_do.main> proto=ESMTP helo=<smail.do.main>
> ```

Ha, solved. Had to enable smtp auth in snappymails configuration. 🤭
[08:52:10] <sebian> Coucou bonjour 🤗

* https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/vpnclient_ynh/settings/notifications
* https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/hotspot_ynh/settings/notifications

D'avance merci !!
[08:55:56] <ChriChri[m]> Nice, successfully send emails to a googlemail and a t-online account. So it seems my IP is not burned.
[08:58:12] <orhtej2> > <@chrichri:librem.one> Nice, successfully send emails to a googlemail and a t-online account. So it seems my IP is not burned.

And Gmail didn't put them straight in spam? Gg on choosing vps provider 🤔
[09:09:09] <ChriChri[m]> > And Gmail didn't put them straight in spam? Gg on choosing vps provider 🤔

Nope. Outgoing IP has got reverse DNS entry and I added the hostname to my mx-records. The IP is exclusive use from a network at a provider doing a lot of email for a bunch of customers.
[09:10:04] <ChriChri[m]> Only thing missing now for email: I'll need to look into why sieve filters do partly not work for me.
[09:16:20] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> sebian: coeur ❤️
[09:16:23] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> c'est fait /o/
[09:16:50] <sebian> merci beaucoup 💞
[09:19:39] <Chatpitaine Caverne> sebian: 😿
[09:21:52] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> funfact SSH (the association receiving YunoHost's donations) status are heavily inspired from LDN

[09:44:51] <Tag> > Tag: re-downloading them would making at least stable backup/restore super unreliable, n'est-ce-pas?

?
[09:48:39] <orhtej2> > <@tag:lostpod.me> It's downloaded every time you run the command. To try your patch, you''ll need to download the package (eg git clone the repo), edit the script and run `yunohost app install /path/to/the/package`

This
[09:49:46] <orhtej2> Ahh now I understand my mistake, he wants to adjust `install` script which makes me wrong and Tag: right
[10:36:26] <ChriChri[m]> Uhm, an imap folder 'junk' is not created by default, but there are default rule that depend on it?

```
/etc/dovecot/global_script# cat *.sieve
require "fileinto";
if header :contains "X-Spam-Flag" "Yes" {
fileinto "Junk";
}
require ["fileinto"];
if header :is "X-Spam" "Yes" {
fileinto "Junk";
}
```
[10:42:01] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> yup, sort of known issue, never had the time/energy to dig into how to properly configure the whole spam thing
[10:42:54] <ChriChri[m]> O.k., did I miss an open issue for that?
[10:51:26] <ChriChri[m]> Aleks (he/him/il/lui), I would add my findings to that issue (if any) and maybe solve it.
[10:54:37] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> https://github.com/YunoHost/issues/issues/1456
[10:55:16] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> apparently maybe adding `doveadm mailbox create -u USER Junk` to our user creation procedure should be enough
[11:44:07] <ChriChri[m]> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> apparently maybe adding `doveadm mailbox create -u USER Junk` to our user creation procedure should be enough

Yes, but this is something every user can change to their likings and then the global filter fails again and the rest of the filters do not work neither.
[11:47:17] <ChriChri[m]> I think the global filters is the problem if they depend on existance of folders and do not fail without stopping the processing of the rules. Maybe it would be a better idea to put this as a standard filter into every users sieve file and only once generate the default folder to move the messages to. If the user later changes stuff it is up to them to do it right, but nothing global would interfere without their knowledge...
[11:53:26] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
[11:54:17] <ChriChri[m]> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

no opinion?
[12:07:46] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> i think there's a lot of technical consideration between dovecot / mailbox config, sieve config which you seem to mention, and rspamd / antispam which is another complex topic, and i don't know enough but you seem to know what you're talking about so that's good ;P
[16:23:33] <guyoua> Hello, I have some trouble connecting a pc with the server with my local domain name. I got an error as if there is no existing page but I can access via the ip address. I configure my router with the domain name and a fixed IP for my server and when I connect with two other pc, I have no trouble, one of them with the exact configuration as the problematic pc. I reload firefox, delete all caches, no luck.
[21:17:25] <hueso> check your resolv.conf. your computer might be using 8.8.8.8 instead of your local lan's router
[21:18:23] <hueso> also try with the full local name (i.e. server.lan instead of just server)
