[05:52:34] <tituspijean[m]> > <@misskoula:matrix.org> Images are still missing... :(

I think you missed one of my messages over the weekend. I could not make PictRS work so far.
[05:52:35] <misskoula> Sorry... Maybe... Is there an alternative to pict-rs??
[05:53:26] <misskoula> > <@titus:pijean.ovh> I think you missed one of my messages over the weekend. I could not make PictRS work so far.

Tried yn2 last night but still no images
[05:59:26] <Nano Hits> Hi there, Trying to install Discourse and I get an error
[05:59:30] <Nano Hits> THis is the logs: https://paste.yunohost.org/raw/esozajomut
[06:28:37] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> Nano Hits:
```
2023-06-14 01:55:09,097: WARNING - Network error while fetching
2023-06-14 01:55:09,102: WARNING - https://rubygems.org/quick/Marshal.4.8/bootsnap-1.9.4.gemspec.rz (execution
2023-06-14 01:55:09,103: WARNING - expired)
```
[06:28:37] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> a random network failure while installing the app, you can try to just retry the install
[06:54:10] <debenny> any ideas? I found it strange the diagnosis didn't realise this, though as one nginx service is still running, I guess it didn't realise there might be a problem
[06:54:40] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> weeell, did you do anything specific before this started happening ...
[06:54:41] <debenny> Hi, it seems something went wrong in my yunohost instance because apparently there is no nginx executable. journalctl -u nginx gives:
```
\[21311\]: nginx.service: Failed to locate executable /usr/sbin/nginx: No such file or directory
\[21311\]: nginx.service: Failed at step EXEC spawning /usr/sbin/nginx: No such file or directory
\[1\]: nginx.service: Control process exited, code=exited, status=203/EXEC
\[1\]: nginx.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
\[1\]: Failed to start A high performance web server and a reverse proxy server.
```
Fun fact: there is an instance of nginx running according to ps -A

[06:55:43] <debenny> I installed and uninstalled a bunch of webapps, looking at stuff, how it works etc...
[06:55:53] <debenny> guess there was also an update run in between
[06:57:07] <debenny> I feel tempted to stop the running nginx service and run a diagnosis again, hoping to get some instructions from there, but I thought I first ask here, maybe there is a simple command to reinstall nginx that will fix everything
[06:58:21] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> mokay great x_x Well yeah /usr/sbin/nginx should definitely exist, I don't know how it can magically disappear while not uninstalling nginx using apt, which would also uninstall yunohost and basically half of the system
[06:58:36] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> let's try `apt install nginx --reinstall` ...
[06:58:57] <debenny> okay, stay tuned
[06:58:57] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> though that's not really gonna explain how it happened and how we can fix it such that it never happens again ...
[07:00:54] <debenny> sure, what I did exactly before was setting up a new domain for keeweb. But I also had troubles in recent days with the web not being accessable, I thought it was due to load, and after uninstalling lemmy it worked again, so I didn't bother till now
[07:05:14] <debenny> hmm, nginx is there now but I still get timeouts...
[07:07:04] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> well timeouts are a different story than having no /usr/sbin/nginx ...
[07:08:03] <debenny> Indeed, though I read the one message in journal as not being able to spawn another instance and as one nginx process had been running I thought this would be the way this shows...
[07:09:04] <debenny> Taking another look at the journal I found this message reappearing every 90 seconds or so:
```PAM-CGFS[195738]: cgroupfs v1: Failed to initialize cpuset```
[07:09:33] <debenny> dunoo if related, at this point I am wildly guessing
[07:15:58] <debenny> ah, no, seems to be some lxd stuff...
[10:04:02] <Takashi> Hey, all! I am trying to get yunohost installed on my fujitsu laptop. I am all good until I get to disk partitioning. I select guided/automatic and the system installs but with no boot partition, and selecting manual partitioning gives me an error stating "no root partition defined" even though I have a single partition that is the size of my disk. Can anyone help?
[10:09:18] <isAAAc> the beter way is (imho) to first install debian , and then use the script to install yunohost
[10:17:13] <Takashi> will the latest version of debian work or do I need a specific version?
[10:23:16] <Chatpitaine Caverne> Yunohost is not yet compatible with debian 12 bookworm, so install the lastest of debian 11.
[10:25:55] <isAAAc> +1
[10:28:49] <lapineige> I would be easier (= no migrations to run, no risk associated) to start with Debian 12, but I can't tell you when it will be ready (but they are testing versions if you like to help). So I can't advice to wait a bit, because… "a bit" can be a bit long ^^
[10:39:28] <amu> Hi, today I got a cert warning when going to the URL of my domain. Then, through ssh I tried to manually renew it, and then I got this:
https://paste.yunohost.org/qahuqilemo.scala
What should I do? Thanks!
[11:39:19] <c> amu, i had this error several times, usually re-running it a few times makes it work because of random reasons :-/
[11:44:00] <amu> c: ok, thank you for the info, then l'll just be patient.
[11:44:22] <c> amu, can you try to run it again see if it works ?
[11:44:26] <c> (maybe 3-5 times)
[12:27:44] <lambdapeer> Hi.. since some days I get the warning "[ERROR] Domain lambda-peersupport.de appears unreachable through HTTP from outside the local network.
- It looks like another machine (maybe your internet router) answered instead of your server.
1. The most common cause for this issue is that port 80 (and 443) are not correctly forwarded to your server.
2. On more complex setups: make sure that no firewall or reverse-proxy is interfering."
Actually it is very well reachable: https://lambda-peersupport.de Anyone an idea why I suddenly get this message? YunoHost 11.1.21.3
[12:37:08] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> ah
[12:37:29] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> maybe you upgraded to 11.1.21.x and you manually edited the nginx for some reason
[12:37:43] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> we can check this with `yunohost tools regen-conf nginx --dry-run --with-diff`
[13:23:34] <simon_greenwood> Hello, new to Yunohost but an old Linux hack here. I've installed Funkwhale on a server in my local network but the phone apps don't work, particularly DSub via the Subsonic API. I think this is due to Yunohost's SSO and I know that officially Funkwhale only support the web interface but does anyone know if there's a workaround for this? TiA!
[13:30:28] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> simon_greenwood: the workaround is to publicly expose the app usually ... can you make sure it's available to "visitors" in Users > Groups and permission > Visitors
[13:31:55] <simon_greenwood> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> simon_greenwood: the workaround is to publicly expose the app usually ... can you make sure it's available to "visitors" in Users > Groups and permission > Visitors
Ah, of course, that has indeed worked :) Thanks!
[13:32:50] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> cool !
[13:36:16] <simon_greenwood> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> cool !
Ah, spoke too soon, DSub doesn't work but the Funkwhale app does, so that's a start :)
[13:52:16] <simon_greenwood> > Ah, spoke too soon, DSub doesn't work but the Funkwhale app does, so that's a start :)
Ultrasonic does though, so that's a win.
[14:02:13] <lambdapeer> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> we can check this with `yunohost tools regen-conf nginx --dry-run --with-diff`
that's true, I edited nginx-conf due to my need to manually set Content-Security-Policy: frame-ancestors
[14:02:38] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> so you need to manually propagate the changes
[14:03:02] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> (or run `yunohost tools regen-conf nginx --force` and re-apply your frame-ancestor tweak)
[14:03:20] <lambdapeer> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> (or run `yunohost tools regen-conf nginx --force` and re-apply your frame-ancestor tweak)
allright, thanks a lot
[14:11:00] <fch> I am unable to update my dns, any tips?
[14:13:18] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> hmmm dunno, it's always hell to debug ..
[14:13:31] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> is there anything unusual with your setup ?
[14:14:00] <fch> no, a fresh install with the subdomain provided
[14:14:16] <fch> a totally new server
[14:54:15] <win8linux> Is it possible to host a Gemini capsule using a subpath (e.g. `subdomain.domain.tld/capsule`)?
[15:11:17] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> apparently nope with my_capsule ... But anyway Gemini is not even supposed to be HTTP by definition...
[15:19:14] <fch> > is there anything unusual with your setup ?
having a fixed IP would solve it?
[15:19:48] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> not really
[15:44:26] <fch> I solved...how stupid, in my router I was forcing qua9 on all clients
[15:44:35] <fch> remove it and all good now
[16:25:42] <fch> if I don't have a fixed IP, do I need a service like noIP or dyndns? or yunohost with the subdomain provided does all the work?
[16:47:36] <Chatpitaine Caverne> Bonjour, je voudrais ajouter un module à Matrix-synapse, mais je ne trouve pas comment exécuter le pip install pour qu'il se retrouve dans l'environnement de synapse.
Si quelqu'un sait. Ce n'est pas stricto sensu du yunohost, désolé.
[17:02:59] <tituspijean[m]> Ça va charger l'environnement dans ta session bash
[17:02:59] <tituspijean[m]> Dans un terminal bash, `cd` dans le dossier, puis `source venv/bin/activate`
[17:02:59] <tituspijean[m]> Chatpitaine Caverne: à vue de nez (je suis sur mobile et je n'ai pas accès au code), tu as un dossier venv à la racine du dossier de travail de Matrix. Dedans tu as l'environnement de travail Python que Matrix utilise.
[17:02:59] <tituspijean[m]> Le pip qui sera alors appelé installera les modules au bon endroit
[17:03:00] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> > <fch> if I don't have a fixed IP, do I need a service like noIP or dyndns? or yunohost with the subdomain provided does all the work?
yunohost-provided domains (x.nohost.me, x.noho.st, x.ynh.fr) are automagically handle, they will update the IP every 2 min if needed (or 10 min maybe?)
[17:03:00] <tituspijean[m]> Une fois que tu as terminé, `exit` de permettra de quitter l'environnement `sourc`é
[17:03:00] <tituspijean[m]> (Et pas à la racine du serveur, pétant tout au passage)
[17:03:47] <fch> mmh nice, so no further actions are required?
[17:05:39] <Aleks (he/him/il/lui)> yup
[17:16:27] <fch> thanks a lot!
[20:02:57] <win8linux> > <@Alekswag:matrix.org> apparently nope with my_capsule ... But anyway Gemini is not even supposed to be HTTP by definition...
I'd be fine with only serving Gemini, really.
[20:03:39] <win8linux> Would prefer the web and Gemini sites to not be 100% identical, anyways.
[20:15:25] <fch> I installed transmission, the bit-torrent app, add some files but no peer and no download, is it necessary to open some port on router for it?
